Texting Issue - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Had another quick question.......
I have noticed over the past few days, when I am texting with someone, it places their text response above the text I sent them first......
All my conversations look weird.....any ideas of why this might be happening?
I am on a rooted S3...

which texting app are u using? have u tried more than one? stock ? go sms pro? does it happen with both? what rom are u using? u need to be a little more detailed if u expect help

I had this same issue I fixed it by going to Date and Time in the system settings and selecting Automatic date and time. For some reason that isn't on by default and I haven't had that issue since.

I am using the stock 4.1.1 ROM - Rooted
Stock messaging program - Samsung?
I have not tried any other messaging programs

Interesting.......I have always had mine set to automatic......but once you mentioned it, I went and looked and it was not set to automatic. I just recently rooted my phone, and now that I think about it, I have been having this issue ever since......so lets hope this fixes it.

I don't thinks so. I didn't like it either so I switched to Go SMS. It works perfectly. It even has option to change minimum mms size etc. so I am going to stick with it until Samsung releases an update.

This. I'm about to switch over to go sms as well for this very reason.

I think so. Go Dev's are always on top. They release updates regularly and that's important to me. I don't want a stagnant app that updates every few months.
Had the same problem but thought it was something I can fix in the settings... But it's good to see others are having same problem... I'll give go SMS a try... Hopefully on the next update this gets addressed

Keyboard problem

im on stock and recently i cant text.. the keyboard locks up and i cant even use the back button to get back to my main list of contacts to text. ive tried to dl other keyboards wiht the same result. just want to know if anyone had experienced this. i can just reformat but really don't want to if i dont have to. thanks

setting - appl manager - all - samsung keyboard - clear data
if not works
setting - appl manager - all - settings - clear data
If still not works then i think hard reset is good choice.

max 3 push notification problems with alot of users-any help

dear all
i have noticed a lot of customers having problem with max 3 push notification with no actions.
i know here in Egypt 5 bought it and have same and nearly everyday you can find more max3 used for sell after only few weeks of buying.
if anyone can assist in solving or to contact ..
i have tried everything available online
installing global beta and stable
disabling battery optimize
allow all permissions to apk like whatsapp/viber /mymail
Auto start
lock apks
nothing worked
if any can help.

Did you enable notifications and badges? You can set the priority there. Just click on the app settings and select notifications. I have no issues.

yes i did all of that still sometimes i get sound and sometimes not..
i checked every single item and enabled anything related to notifications
even network signal is full and whenever i try to call or i get call it gives out of coverage
i m sure its software bug ...
i even changed region to so many but nothing
i wiped data after each install of rom
the only doubt i have is
in app settings in installed app
there is system notifications
no sound
and i press it i found all notifications are on
That's the problem with Chinese ROMs
I have a global version and np problems whatsoever.
Had the same problem with the Huawei honor note 8 Chinese.
Partial fix was to add widgets for all the apps that you can on the home page, or open each one up and keep them running in the background without closing them.

Thanks ..that already what i m doing now so i get the notification sometimes by sound or only by wake up the screen.
if i cancel wake up screen for notification.. i cant know unless when i unlock the screen...
that is only in whatsapp viber and email apk ( tried three )...
hope an update fixes this...

I would just install Xiaomi.eu rom. No one I know on xiaomi.eu roms are having your sound problems.

1_ does it support arabic language not the interface as i use english but i mean in writing .
2- from where to download
3- can i flash like the official one by putting the rom on internal folder and use the update.

Is your bootloader unlocked? You will need to unlock it since it's a custom rom.

Same problem here with GMAIL only, I was receiving delayed notification(1 or 2 hours). Changed with k9, now works fine. I'm on MIUI 10 Global (no root, no bootloader a virgin one
From time to time, I receive a whatsapp message which wakes up the screen, but without any sound (very strange).
I'm quite unhappy with the notifications system

Yes thats what i have notifications come with no sound and only wake up screen light then second one with sound but i installed the global beta and its better than global stable so far with last update.
Basically what I had to do was manually turn on all notification sounds and pop ups. Some apps simply cannot be turned on like Google messages.

[7T Pro STOCK] Permissions issues

I need a bit of help on this, my phone has really weird permissions issues. For example, when I want to configure an app for the first time that tells me to go enable notification access and it sends me to the screen where you can toggle notification access for a lot of apps and you activate the access for the app in question, the app doesn't see that you turned the permission on when it is on (double checked). I'll link a YT video I made that shows the issue perfectly. (please take note that this happens on EVERY app that asks for permissions this way)
The video might be blurry due to YT taking its time to process the video in its full HD glory.

I tried resetting the phone and clearing the dalvik cache to no avail... And I don't know if its related, but both the Facebook app and the Messenger App crash really easily while doing the most mundane stuff (sending an image is often too much). They both have full permissions enabled. Weird, huh ?

Okay i just saw the video. Can you disable notifications during the setup just so that you finish setting up the buds then try again enabling notification access from within the app after finishing setting it up

I tried, it keeps asking for notification permissions and won't go forward. And it does that for other apps that rely on notifications (NotifyEdge for example).

Maybe something wrong with the European firmware. That BA at the end indicates that. Try global firmware. Either stable or beta

Wait before you continue. Do other apps that require notification access give u a hard time besides the notifyedge and bud app that i could try as well to make sure its phone not the app that has a problem

Hi all,
Need help here. My WhatsApp textbox and send button partly cutoff / blocked. I can't see what's I'm typing in the box. It happen only when it's in pop-up view on my phone and all the time during Samsung Dex.
This happen a while after i updated to Android 5.1. No problem initially but it just appear this way now.
Kindly refer to the image sample.

Have you had any luck with this? i am having the same issue, i tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it happens again, this is only on my samsung tablet though.
Same problem here. Only started using dex so dont really know if this is a long standing issue or new
