Hi all,
Need help here. My WhatsApp textbox and send button partly cutoff / blocked. I can't see what's I'm typing in the box. It happen only when it's in pop-up view on my phone and all the time during Samsung Dex.
This happen a while after i updated to Android 5.1. No problem initially but it just appear this way now.
Kindly refer to the image sample.

Maybe uninstall and then reinstall the app?

Have you had any luck with this? i am having the same issue, i tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it happens again, this is only on my samsung tablet though.
Same problem here. Only started using dex so dont really know if this is a long standing issue or new

Ya, which dpi should we change. I'd tried to change to various dpi but it doesn't help.

yes, me too. I have tried several times to email WhatsApp support, but so far there has been no response. several times there have been updates in the playstore but the result is still the same..

Hello guys,
Unfortunately I still have problems after upgrading to ics ...
I upgraded from gingerbread and I had many problems and continue crashes.
The rom is official Samsung Xeo.
To solve the problems I did a wipe and re-install all the applications from the market (like I have a new phone, without syncing).
Now I have two problems:
If you use third-party app sms messages are sent double (two equal) [For this issue I'm following another post]
The most serious is this:
If I try to set a background image from gallery the phone freezes.
What i do: I go to the gallery, I select the image and immediately becomes all black. After I see popup "Application crash....".
I'm using Nova Launcher but with TouchWiz the problem is the same.
Do you have any idea on how I can fix?
I sought for applications that can set backgrounds. I managed to change but after the phone goes in spurts (with GPU acceleration enabled).

Try turning of '2d-hardware acceleration' in developers options. Worked with me.

The duplicate SMS problem is apparently solved in LP7 though I didn't have it in LPH/J or Q
I read in another thread that the gallery issue is caused by ticking the force GPU rendering option in developer options in settings

For text messages can you indicate the post? (I used the search function but could not find anything). I can not figure out if I can fix it or if it is a known unresolved bug!

I tried to swap it by TURBO BOOSTER already but it still appear "received text messages(MMS)denyed" what was the problem? in fact this room it's stable to use it also smooth but while using the text appear that made my phone became slower immediately...what I have to do for this,please help...

Anyway could u tell me which rom rthe best? you know sometimes just play Temple Run 2 it's a bit slow too,I use Auto Killer RAM and it's give me around 130MB already but why I still play Temple Run 2 in slowly?any room is the best pls share...Thank!

It's always pop up the word "receive messages (MMS) denyed" I don't know what is the problem but it always appear when I'm into the setting n while using over wifi connection...

I have installed Truecaller in the 5t. It is not showing names etc. of unknown numbers when I receive a call, but it shows them after I end a call. I have tried playing with the settings of Truecaller but can't seem to find anything. Any help?

I've used Hiya, since it came bundled on my Axon 7. I installed it on my OP5T and it seems to work fine. No ads, either.

Active Users: If you compare Truecaller with Hiya in terms of users, then former one has a huge user base then the later one.
No one in my area is on Hiya so it is not useful for me. Any other help for Truecaller?

This issue of delayed display has been reported and is present on devices running Oreo, a fix will be coming soon.

Thank you for replying. But my friend who's having Oreo in his 5t can see the names of unknown numbers by Truecaller. But in my case I can only see them after the call has been ended.

Try uninstall and install again and make sure you not optimise true caller from battery optimisations. Also when you run the setup of the app allow it to ignore the optimisations.
True caller will work but would be a little slow to detect as per my testing on Oreo beta

Works fine for me on the beta, just a bit slow sometimes .. I guess you have to want for a trucaller update

Don't optimise battery consumption solved my problem
Solution
Goto Settings->Apps->Special Access->Draw over other Apps->Truecaller->Permit drawing over other apps
If this doesn't help:
Goto Sttings->Apps->Special Access->Notification Access->Truecaller->Turn it On
It should work now

Yes, stop using DNS66 and iy will go away. It doesn't take an Android pro to look under the notification settings.

I need a bit of help on this, my phone has really weird permissions issues. For example, when I want to configure an app for the first time that tells me to go enable notification access and it sends me to the screen where you can toggle notification access for a lot of apps and you activate the access for the app in question, the app doesn't see that you turned the permission on when it is on (double checked). I'll link a YT video I made that shows the issue perfectly. (please take note that this happens on EVERY app that asks for permissions this way)
The video might be blurry due to YT taking its time to process the video in its full HD glory.

And I don't know if its related, but both the Facebook app and the Messenger App crash really easily while doing the most mundane stuff (sending an image is often too much). I tried, it keeps asking for notification permissions and won't go forward. And it does that for other apps that rely on notifications (NotifyEdge for example).

Maybe something wrong with the European firmware. That BA at the end indicates that. Try global firmware. Either stable or beta

Wait before you continue. Do other apps that require notification access give u a hard time besides the notifyedge and bud app that i could try as well to make sure its phone not the app that has a problem
