Ok so here is what I have done so far:
1.) I rooted via this method:
Step 1: Download Odin v3.07 and CF root (for non-AT&T variants, find the root file for your phone and plug that in for this CF root link. The rest of this guide should work for you). After you do that, right-click and extract the files to somewhere easily accessible (like your desktop).
Step 2: Go to Settings>Developer Options>turn developer options on>turn on USB debugging
Step 3: Make sure your phone is not connected to the computer at this point. Open up Odin, select PDA, navigate to CF-Auto-Root-....tar.md5
Step 4: Put your phone in download mode (turn off phone, then hold VolDown+Home+Power to boot - if it asks you to press a button to continue, press the listed button (in this case volume up)
Step 5: USB connect your phone to your computer and in Odin make sure Repartition is not checked. Leave everything else alone. Click the Start button and wait for your phone to reboot twice.
2.) installed goomanager and ran the script that installs twrp for you and ran a recovery
3.) booted into twrp, cleared cache/d-something cache, did factory reset, and the system reset (forgot the exact name)
4.) tried to install cleanrom (had it on my internal SD card) and got the "error flashing zip" line
I've looked around reading everyone's solutions and it's come down to
a.) i need to reinstall/redownload and try again. Thing is, idk how to remove all this crap (my backup was created after doing the twrp stuff) so that I can reinstall
b.) twrp is the issue and i need to use CWM. again, not sure how to remove twrp before installing CWM and the guides that I've come across to install CWM aren't simple enough for me (im new to this)
Any insight would be great. I've been loading back into my backup trying to start over and I'm afraid if I keep messing around I will brick my phone which is why I have come to you guys. Trust me I've been looking stuff up for hours and I still can't seem to figure it out
I would do that, but it's just me.
-I would boot in recovery , wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset, and system.
-Boot in Download mode, flash the appropriate stock rom.
-Let it boot in stock rom.
What i do to root and install twrp.
- I boot in download I run cf-Autoroot through odin, then let it boot
- I boot in downaload again and run twrp through odin again let reboot (you need the correct twrp file to flash with odin).
You now have a freshly rooted and clean install of everything. Check Md5 or redownload CleanRom.
When i install cleanrom i reboot in recovery,I wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset and system, then i install the rom and reboot to system, i never had issues doing everything this way. I believe its the correct and clean way to do.
Guys
really need some help here. Stupidly i decided i wanted to try my hand at installing clean rom,.
Firstly -
1. i rooted the device, and then used titanium backup to freeze some knox apps.
2. I didnt bother to put the stock recovery back on as i wanted to install clean ROM.
3. I followed the instructions i found on here to a tee - as below. They all worked perfectly.
4. I went through the install screens on CLEAN ROM - that all worked fine.
5. It ended with a screen back to TWRP and i hit reboot.
6. Not the device just gets stuck at the glowing samsung logo.
7. I can get back into TWRP but i have no idea what to do next. I have tried rebooting from TWRP, both system and power, but no luck. The device powers down, and comes back up but remains stuck on the glowing samsung logo.
What can i do?
these were the instructions i followed. Any help much appreciated, and i will chuck a couple of quid towards someone that can help.
3.
Download latest CleanRom and copy it to your SD-Card
4. ODIN
- Run Odin as administrator
- untick -Auto Reboot-
- Click -PDA- (in latest version it's -AP-) and choose your TWRP version
- Now turn off your device and restart it by holding down Power+Volume Down. Proceed with Volume Up to enter DownloadMode
- now connect your device to your PC using USB
- Device drivers should get installed if not already done
- check the Message box in Odin. There should be an "Added!!"
- There should be nothing checked but F. Reset Time
- Press -Start-
- when finished there should be a "RES OK !!" in the Message box
- TRWP is now flashed to your device
4.1.
Now restart your device manually by holding down Power+Volume Up. As soon as you see the Samsung Logo, wait a second and release the Powerbutton but keep holding Volume Up until TWRP is loaded.
5. TWRP
In TRWP
- click Wipe
- advanced wipe and check:
Dalvik, Cache, Data, Internal Storage (should be enough), System
- do NOT tick external SD. You don't want to get it wiped.
- Swipe to Wipe
Now back to Mainmenu
- click Install
- choose your desired ROM
- Swipe to Confirm Flash
- Follow Rom's Installshield and you should be good
Have fun and good luck
If you can get back to TWRP, then wipe data , cache & dalvik, then re-flash clean rom again.
If problem still persists then flash a stock rom via odin.
still no joy
I can wipe cache, system, data, but when i try to include dalvik cache i get a "Failed". the message in the screen says E: unable to mount '/cache

You shouldn`t wipe system . data , cache & dalvik was the requested options.
Now since you wiped system, your only choice is to download a stock firmware from sammobile, enter download mode power+volume down , then volume up, & flash via odin .

Hi thanks all – i think the problem was the boot loop issue. I wiped cache, dalvik cache, system, and data, one by one, and then reinstalled clean rom and it seemed to push it through. Thanks for the support though!
Almost, if it powers on and you're even getting in to recovery, bricked is not the proper term.
Bricked = no power, dead beyond repair.
All you had was a software issue.
and if twrp does not find sd card ?
then what ?..
This morning I found my phone stuck on the boot logo displaying the model number. Nothing I can do gets it to go past this screen (I can boot into TWRP recovery and Download mode). The following are things I have tried:
1. Boot into recovery and wipe Dalvik/Cache (Nothing changes)
2. Boot into recovery and Factory reset (Factory reset fails)
3. Boot into recovery and advanced wipe all partitions (Wipe fails, can't access /data/media)
4. Boot into recovery and format data (Seems to work asks for restart but nothing changes)
5. Boot into recovery and install clean CM Rom (Seems to succeed but still doesn't go past boot on restart)
5. Boot into download and attempt restore to stock using Samsung Kies (Fails when trying to flash stock to phone)
6. Boot into download and attempt to flash stock using Odin (Fails)
7. Boot into download and attempt to re-partition using .pit file and restore stock firmware (Fails when trying to re-partition)
Everything I've tried just seems to fail and the phone still doesn't go past the boot logo. I can still boot into recovery and download mode. Please help I'm at wits end.
Hello!
I made an OTA update while rooted so I soft bricked my phone lol
I dont have access to a computer for some weeks so I'd like to know how I could flash a stock ROM using an Android tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1")
I installed ADB and Fastboot by following this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586472&page=1 but I apparently need 1.0.32 version of ADB and I can't find any guide to install it on an Android Device, plus when I use a Fastboot command the terminal emulator sticks on 'Waiting for device'
My Device does appear when I use 'adb devices' but it doesn't when I use 'fastboot devices'
I really need help guys
Thank you very much for reading this
Ok, you can follow this, but i'm not sure if it works:
1. Download the OTA package from Asus.
2. Rename it to mofd_sdupdate.zip.
3. Push that file to the root of your phone internal storage (/sdcard/mofd_sdupdate.zip) not anywhere else.
4. Reboot to recovery, it will flash the update automatically
5. Reboot your phone normally.
6. If it bootloops, try hold the power button to turn it off, then turn it on again.
7. If it still bootloop, wipe /cache in recovery, then reboot
8. If it still bootloop, wipe /data in recovery, then reboot
9. If still bootloop, do step 6
10. If it still loops, I have no idea . Try using a computer.
ELSE, enjoy the new update.
If in 5 min it doesn't show "Android is upgrading" it means that it fell into a bootloop

How can I push the file? :/
I fixed the problem!
This is how I did it:
I downloaded last WW OTA Update from Asus site for my phone
I renamed it mofd_sdupdate
I've put it on a SD CARD
I inserted SD CARD in the phone and the update started alone, after it my phone was saved
I was trying to install Iron rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/stock-tw-rom-galaxy-tab-s-8-4-t2995235
and followed the below steps as mentioned in the installation document of roms thread..
1. Download the rom and put it to your SD card or internal storage
2. Download latest bootloader and modem for SM-T705 and bootloader only for SM-T700
3. Boot into download mode, download latest Odin available and flash BL in BL tab and CP in CP tab
4. Make sure you use most recent TWRP which can be found T705 or T700
5. Flash TWRP with odin in AP tab
6. Boot into recovery using: home+power on + volume up
7. Select wipe, advanced wipe: data, cache, dalvik-cache and system
8. Install the rom (in aroma select "dirty flash", otherwise you may have problems!)
9. After rom installation reboot and wait around 20 minutes till the tab boots up
10. Enjoy MM on your Tab S!
I followed steps 1 to 7 successfully. When I tried step 8 it said "Failed to map file IronRom_SM-T70X_V3.2.zip" in external sd card.
Now when pressed rebooted it warned that "No OS is installed."
After rebooting its stuck in the boot screen with "powered by android logo. I pressed power button for 1 min and still tab is not shutting down.
Questions
1) How to do shutdown the tab & reboot to twrp?
2) How do i fix the "Failed to map file IronRom_SM-T70X_V3.2.zip" issue and install IronRom_SM-T70X_V3.2.zip?
3) Atleast how to enter into download mode so that I ca at least install stock rom?
Please help!
Thanks

When press all the buttons ie. power +volume up +volume down+home its showing the battery charging screen even though the tab is not plugged in.
So since tab is still not shutdown i am not able to try to boot to recovery.
Please guide.
Power volume - and home button should get you in to download mode so you can flash a stock rom......
