[Q] HELP! Bricked my P600!! - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Q&A, Help & Troubl

Guys
really need some help here. Stupidly i decided i wanted to try my hand at installing clean rom,.
Firstly -
1. i rooted the device, and then used titanium backup to freeze some knox apps.
2. I didnt bother to put the stock recovery back on as i wanted to install clean ROM.
3. I followed the instructions i found on here to a tee - as below. They all worked perfectly.
4. I went through the install screens on CLEAN ROM - that all worked fine.
5. It ended with a screen back to TWRP and i hit reboot.
6. Not the device just gets stuck at the glowing samsung logo.
7. I can get back into TWRP but i have no idea what to do next. I have tried rebooting from TWRP, both system and power, but no luck. The device powers down, and comes back up but remains stuck on the glowing samsung logo.
What can i do?
these were the instructions i followed. Any help much appreciated, and i will chuck a couple of quid towards someone that can help.
3.
Download latest CleanRom and copy it to your SD-Card
4. ODIN
- Run Odin as administrator
- untick -Auto Reboot-
- Click -PDA- (in latest version it's -AP-) and choose your TWRP version
- Now turn off your device and restart it by holding down Power+Volume Down. Proceed with Volume Up to enter DownloadMode
- now connect your device to your PC using USB
- Device drivers should get installed if not already done
- check the Message box in Odin. There should be an "Added!!"
- There should be nothing checked but F. Reset Time
- Press -Start-
- when finished there should be a "RES OK !!" in the Message box
- TRWP is now flashed to your device
4.1.
Now restart your device manually by holding down Power+Volume Up. As soon as you see the Samsung Logo, wait a second and release the Powerbutton but keep holding Volume Up until TWRP is loaded.
5. TWRP
In TRWP
- click Wipe
- advanced wipe and check:
Dalvik, Cache, Data, Internal Storage (should be enough), System
- do NOT tick external SD. You don't want to get it wiped.
- Swipe to Wipe
Now back to Mainmenu
- click Install
- choose your desired ROM
- Swipe to Confirm Flash
- Follow Rom's Installshield and you should be good
Have fun and good luck

If you can get back to TWRP, then wipe data , cache & dalvik, then re-flash clean rom again.
If problem still persists then flash a stock rom via odin.

still no joy
I can wipe cache, system, data, but when i try to include dalvik cache i get a "Failed". the message in the screen says E: unable to mount '/cache

You shouldn`t wipe system . data , cache & dalvik was the requested options.
Now since you wiped system, your only choice is to download a stock firmware from sammobile, enter download mode power+volume down , then volume up, & flash via odin .

Hi thanks all – i think the problem was the boot loop issue. I wiped cache, dalvik cache, system, and data, one by one, and then reinstalled clean rom and it seemed to push it through. Thanks for the support though!

Almost, if it powers on and you're even getting in to recovery, bricked is not the proper term.
Bricked = no power, dead beyond repair.
All you had was a software issue.

and if twrp does not find sd card ?
then what ?..

Hi, I need help with my SGS2 . I tried to install the miui rom and it was the first time I tried to flash a arom. I just followed the intsurctions on the following link http://androidflip.com/how-to-insta...-3-4-on-samsung-galaxy-s2-step-by-step-guide/
and I tought everything went soomthly but after I rebooted the device first it was like the miui logo on the screen and nothing happened and then I tried to reboot it then my pc did not recognize the phone when I connected it to the pc and then I took the battery off and now when start the damn phone the triangle picture comes and then just black screen nothing happens. I did make a full recovery with the rom manager before and now my question is did I just kill the phone or can I do something?
Pls help me.
There's tons of threads about your problem.
Put it in download mode and install a stock ROM using Odin. That should get you going again.
You should have CWM, so turn phone off, press volup+home+power, goto Mounts&Storage, Mount USB Storage, and connect phone to PC. Copy over whatever ROM you want, then in CWM menu clear data/factory reset, clear cache, goto advanced, clear dalvik cache, goto install zip from sdcard, choose the zip ROM file, and install it. Reboot, and you should be fine.
thank you so much guys, it helped. It is working now. I will not panic like this one next time. Once again thank you very much

Good sir, I'm also new with this rooting and flashing stuff on Android. Would this method always guarantee that the phone firmware will be fixed under any circumstances? (aside from physical damage, of course)

Let me get this straight, so basically what you are saying is:
- Wipe all the ROM data from the phone
- Install a new ROM, since all the previous corrupt ROM data is cleared
But why clear cache and then clear dalvik cache? Just curious with the difference. (Yes, I haven't rooted mine yet, because I'm still learning slowly before plunging)
Oh also, since you mentioned that we should "clear data/factory reset", doesn't that mean the phone is back to the original stock ROM already, which means we have to root it again...?

[Q] Rooted Kindle doesn't take roms through TWRP

Hi, I am running TWRP v2.2.2.1 and my kindle fire is rooted. When I go to flash a rom it seems like it is finished, but never gives me the success popup. It also says its verifying the partition sizes and filesystems. The home and restart buttons appear and so once I flash it I restart and the bootloader for each rom I have installed consistently just keeps loading indefinitely and never goes into the OS. Any idea's? In the mean time I have a backup and am running the stock os.
Restarting the bootloader selection puts your device in fastboot. Try selecting system after your flash that`s what you should be doing.

after i flash "wipe cache, home, and reboot system" appear. Do you mean reboot system or am I wrong. The success popup never showed up again.

Depends on what your flashing as far as the wipes go but yes when you select reboot then you select system if prompted. If you are flashing a completely different system. Wipe factory reset , wipe cache, wipe dalvik, wipe system, flash Rom and flash gapps then select reboot and select system if prompted.
Edit: The final thing that TWRP does during a flash is verifying file systems and verifying partitions sizes. When you see the buttons show for wipe davik/cache and reboot this indicates the flash is complete even if it doesn't throw a successful statement

[Q] Stuck on boot animation

After flashing AOKP build 6 and the gapps package, everything was running fine until the phone randomly shut down and rebooted.
After turning back on the boot animation continued, figured I'd wait it out and it still continued and after several minutes and pulling the battery I tried holding down the Volume Down and Power Button but the image says it's downloading please don't turn off this item. After waiting and waiting the phone shuts off and starts the reboot and the boot animation continues again.
This has never happened before and not sure exactly how to get the phone running again. What should I do?

if you can still get to recovery(power+both volume keys, then select recovery mode with volume keys, click power to confirm), try wiping cache and dalvik cache and reflashing JUST your rom, if it boots DONT flash the same gapps package, download a new one: http://tinyw.in/C7XP
I was able to open recovery
1. advanced
2. wipe dalvik cache
3. install zip
4. reboot
it's still running just the animation at this point. I have the same gapps package, didn't flash it, just the rom and it's still not loading. I have a feeling it was the wiping cache and dalvik cache part, is there a step I'm missing?
Wipe?
I looked at another forum, I'm guessing this is what I'm suppose to do for a full wipe?
Volume up, power button, and home button all pressed together for a couple of seconds.
Wipe the cache partition
Go to Advanced and wipe the dalvik and batt stats
Go to mounts and storage and select it.
Go to format / system and select it.
Scroll down to format system and select yes.
Go to format / data and select it
Scroll down to format data and select yes.
Go to format / cache and select it.
Scroll down to format cache and select yes.
Now go back and install the rom from the internal or external sd card.
If I do this and it still doesn't work, will I have to worry some more?
If you wipe data you will no longer have any sdcard contents. Then you come crying back here and want to know how to fix that. The easy solution here? Boot to your custom recovery and do 'factory reset'

And wiping battery stats, cache, dalvik... Is a myth.

Okay first, in order to get out of the bootloop. Do a Volume up + Power to reboot the phone and after you see the screen go off switch to Volume down + power. After this step you should be in the bootloader (HBOOT). Now use the volume keys to navigate to 'Recovery' and press the power button to select it. Once in the recovery try wiping the Dalvik Cache and /cache partition again and reboot into System and see if it boots properly. If it doesn't then do a clean reflash of the GPE ROM.
Also in order to troubleshoot what caused this, can you give a specific list of the system apps you removed or any other possible things you could've did to cause this?
