How do you subscribe to a main group of forums? ie. I want to subscribe to the HTC Verizon M8 forum. http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one-m8
I don't want to subscribe to each individual sub forum (no sense in having 6 forums listed in my subscribed list when I could just click into one forum and see all of the sub forums. I would like to go the main forum with the sub menus listed. And.......I can't find the subscribe button on the main Verizon M8 Forum Group.
Any help?
On the site, it's not possible. However, if you're using an app to access XDA then you can simply find the Verizon M8 forum and long press it and select the option to subscribe to that forum

its not supported by desktop side. so the subscription works only on app. the links which are supported on website version will get updated if you subscribed from app..
just not possible for non supported subscription from app only support links

i just saw this http://www.miuirom.com/thread-964-1-1.html
watch the video.
can we get this in other languages too?
Why not ask the Developer themselves, instead of posting rubbish in the dev chan?
What is this exactly? Modified Android or sense?
Seems nice, hope someone ports it.
it doesnt need a Port. It allrdy runs smooth on desire

i totally disagree, how is this not a development thread? it discussing the possibilities of translating a chinese language rom into other languages
I think changing language is Not a Port. Its only a modification of the running system.

I found these: (use google translate to read)
http://miuirom.com/thread-1012-1-1.html

The second link is an update.zip, so do a nandroid before you try anything.
Wow, you people in the Desire forum need to lighten up. We have about 15 pages to our thread in the Nexus forum, in the Dev Section, talking about how amazing this ROM is. In addition we already have a couple devs working on getting it completely in English.
Come on over
I've downloaded the rom and i must say, it's VERY FAST.
English is also available, but some apps are only in chinese ...
We need someone who add some language packages ...

just click ant the 3. 4. or 5. button. They are all the same, just different hosts.
Taking into account the fact that the Desire section does not have a subforum within the Development section for questions on Rom/Android development, and the fact that questions within the General section are generally ignored by most developers, I thought of a thread to maintain a database of devs/senior members wanting to learn Rom development/discuss dev questions..
You can add yourself to the list by specifying in the following format:
Google plus link (as a gplus.to link, not email addresses), Dev/Wannabe-dev/Experienced user/Enduser (in your own opinion)
If the dev adds you too to his/her group, you'll be able to ask questions, and get answers related to devlopment..In addition I will be maintaining a Huddle/Hangout on the basis of this list, with live chat.. Guys, use it efficiently..No flooding please!
Mine first, gplus.to/droidzone
You can even ask questions related to development on this section, but dont expect quick answers, especially dont think that I'll always be answering either!
Thread rules:
Research your question (search google and xda) before asking.
Only questions related to actual development will be entertained.
Just because devs read this thread, if you ask silly questions already answered elsewhere, we'll permanently ignore your question
This is not for questions on issues related to a particular Rom. Ask those on the ROM's thread. If you dont have permissions to post it there, start your own Q/A thread
Developers list
The order in which names are listed is only on the basis of the order in which members have joined the group..

Fine..though not being able to discuss with a lot of others does rather defeat the purpose, doesnt it? Maybe you should have another gplus profile for the dev incarnation, like I do

Hello, mods for the HTC One X...
Whilst browsing modaco forums i came across the following posts:
http://android.modaco.com/topic/353733-30-04-rom-tripndroid-operating-system-12028404bu/
http://android.modaco.com/topic/353725-29-04-rom-aokp-endeavor-unleashed-users-choice/
The owner claims that his work was not wanted on xda!
I think that his work would bring a much needed diversity to our device's forum.
I hope im not out of line in asking you to let him publish his work on xda and let atleast a few hundred more people have access to it?
thanks!

He was not wanted on XDA back then either. I actually thinks that he left/got kicked out of XDA at that time

Sorry but the dev mentioned is no longer a member of XDA.
Also, all such issues can be handled by pm as they are offtopic to this forum.
Cheers
In the XDA app, I no longer can see my previous posts under my profile. It just says this user has no posts. Started about 5 days ago. Makes it very hard to follow up with people when trying to help them.

A load of people are having this same problem so it's already been mentioned to the higher-ups.
The best way to keep up with threads you post in, is to subscribe to them once you've posted in them. That way, you can just go to the subscribed section and see them all there, plus you can simply unsubscribe from them once you don't need the thread anymore.

What are you talking about? Threads or forums?
Threads / sub forums will be subscribed at server end.. so no need.. it will appear in fav tab even in new device or fresh install..
If you mean main device forum.. then no.. they are not subscribed at server end afaik.. so it won't appear.. you have to subscribe again..
