[Q] Htc blinkfeed hs stopped working - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just got done installing the VIPERROM...the phone restarted, and then the message keeps popping up "Unfortunately, HTC blinkfeed has stopped working, and now i cant get into the phone...need help..

I had the same problem. It was because I didn't pay attention and tried to install the OTA instead of the full rom. I'd double check what file you actually downloaded.
Hope this helps.

Hey,
does it happen while running normally or while booting up?
I guess it's important to know what ROM you are using ... maybe you got something wrong while flashing your phone ...

Probably a hardware issue, you need to send it to htc for repair , so go baxk to stock

Flash back to a stock Rom first and see if it still reboots.

Basic case of motherboard problem. Go back to stock and send it to HTC for repairs and they will change your motherboard.

Problem after OTA Update

Hi guys,
i've searched in the forum but nobody has got the same problem.
Two days ago i have received the notify about the update and i've launched it. At the first time the process is unsuccessful so i've rebooted in recovery mode and i launched it from there. It seems all ok but when i run video player or youtube or a game the phone freeze itself and reboot. I've tried to start a benchmark(e.s. quadrant), thinking that the problem was a wrong gpu drivers installed but in this case everything is working.
My cell was rooted with boot unlocked through htc.dev and till the update it was perfect.
Someone has ideas?

Phone doesn't start after lollipop update

Hey guys,
My friend installed the new lollipop ota and his phone doesn't start normally anymore.
He says that some failure reports show up and that he might report the error/failure.
He has no rooted phone or something like that. He never tried.
What can he do? Ota installing manually from original recovery or such things like that?
Thanks guys

Send it for repairs. It is less than a year old and if he never rooted it is defective and his warranty is still good.

Yes, I think this is a Problem for Warrenty.
Try this first. Yesterday i resolved the problem by my self.
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/bootl-loop-lollipop-update-t3016142
BUT TRY WARRENTY FIRST.
Phone gives error reports when booted Help i don't know if I have the same problem but my HTC One m8 went ballistic after I tried to install lollipop. For reference I have a sprint (unconnected) Htc One m8 Harmon Karman edition with Ł launcher as a launcher. I went to settings and found an update. The update download and then installed. When the phone went to boot it booted then instead of taking me to the home screen, it took me to a white page with a loop of error reports of apps not working. I can't get into the phone at all. I tried to boot in recovery but that did nothing. Please help I'm desperate.

how to make your internal storage reappear on your PC and phone

i'm going to start by addressing my phone. i have a HTC m8 it is rooted and i have updated it to 5.0.1. but during that process i ran across some issues that might have caused issues in other areas. when t- mobile release the lollipop update i goggle how to get it on a rooted phone and basically what i got from it was i had to replace custom recovery with stock recovery to get the update and if i wanted to go back i had to do the opposite. when i watch the video i didn't realize the video was old and had not been updated until i got to the part of the screen(on my device) where it was a red triangle. so make a long story short i found the correct stock recovery and installed it but when i did. It said i lost su and i need to re install and that became a problem as while because i could not found nothing that was helpful. so i just tried uninstalling xposed framework mode and when i restarted my phone. It was stuck in a boot-loop. so it took me a minute to get out of that and all it took was me installing su again. so now that's out of the way when my phone came back on i realize a lot of my app force closing and maybe i thought it was minor bugs form the new update but after awhile nothing change. so at this point i'm done with this i'm ready to go back to stock and i cant because my internal storage is missing and i know all of my flies is there because when i boot into recovery i see them but when i connect my phone to my PC it shows a limit of files and on my phone in certain apps it shows files and in others apps it doesn't. i just need to know how to fix it so i can unroot.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.
