Hi guys,
i've searched in the forum but nobody has got the same problem.
Two days ago i have received the notify about the update and i've launched it. At the first time the process is unsuccessful so i've rebooted in recovery mode and i launched it from there. It seems all ok but when i run video player or youtube or a game the phone freeze itself and reboot. I've tried to start a benchmark(e.s. quadrant), thinking that the problem was a wrong gpu drivers installed but in this case everything is working.
My cell was rooted with boot unlocked through htc.dev and till the update it was perfect.
Someone has ideas?

Hi all..
I recently got my HTC One X and unlocked the bootloader, installed Clockwordmod followed by flashing a couple of different ones to see which one I liked.. (All of them are snappy, feel & look great...)
Where the problem lies is when I try to play a game or watch a video (aka accessing the gpu) the system instantly freezes and then reboots..
This problem never occurred using the stock software only became apparent when I started using customs.
It happens with all games I've tried...
Problem is now what shall i do? I made the foolish error of not backing up my stock ICS.
My phone is unbranded, so perhaps I could use someone elses unbranded stock rom to revert back to?
Shall I unroot? Pretty bloody worried to be honest... what if i've broke it?
Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks in advance

Hey thanks for replying so fast.
I was just looking for what you suggested and cannot find it anywhere in the development section nor in the "everything htc one x" thread...
Am I being blind?
Also, do I just flash it like a normal room? (e.g. put it on my internal memory and flash through recovery?)
Thanks again

I'm sorry Adam but that link requires me to have 10 posts or more. It must be in a special section then?
I'm going to try and be helpful for a few posts instead of being lazy!

Thanks.. just realised this is the rom I am running on now and the problem is still persistent.
Just games and videos it seems.
I am not sure about superwipe..
I always wipe data & cache when I installed a new rom... different thing?
What do you think now?

Superwipe wipes the system as well, going between different ROMs without doing this may be the cause of your issues. Back up and try it out

Cool thanks, going to try it.
EDIT: haha, where the hell is superwipe?
Seems I can only find it for sensation?

Adam, thank you for helping this far.
I have completed a superwipe along with clearing cache and wiping data, reinstalling stock rom and no luck. the problem still occurs... open up a game and it instantly freezes and reboots itself.
Argh, my stomach feels rough...
What do you think i should do now?
edit: just a quick update, have tried various roms and the problem occurs in all. superwiped everytime as well. i think its a problem with the gpu...
in the mean time if anyone else could chime in with any ideas/help would be v.grateful..
otherwise should i send phone back?

If you send the phone for repairs HTC will claim the mainboard needs changing and try to charge you several hundred for it because your bootloader is unlocked.
Try going to settings>developer options and toggling force GPU rendering

Have tried this too, no luck.
Any other ideas? The phone works perfect apart from this...
It's a new contract phone and comes with a 30 day fault return, couldn't I unroot it and give that a go? Would they know?.
Bump for this one last time before I try and get it replaced.
Any thing else I can do?
Hi,
Since this moring my phone is constantly rebooting. It first started when I tried to update 6 apps via the market. I´m on Paranoid Android 1.9.9.1. it worked smooth without any problems until today. I´ve alredy tried to reflash erverything but everytime i get the same result: the phone working for a minute and then suddenly out of the nowhere rebooting even if i don´t use it. Then i tried to wipe my phone which didn´t work either. Neither via cwm nor through the settings. Of course i have already searched the forum for possible solutions but it seems like i´m the only one who has ever experienced it. Could someone please led me to a thread wher my problem is discussed or provide me a solution i don´t what to do . Thanks in advance for everyone who is trying to help me.
P.S. I found out that i doesn´t reboot if i do not unlock it. If i unlock it either with sim inserted or not it reboots. WTF???

Flash your phone back to stock first to see if that resolves the issue.

I´ve already tried to do something similar, but the problem is that everytime I try to copy something to my sd it reboots.

You don't need to copy anything to your sdcard. Flash back to stock using this.

If you have any CPU apps that apply settings at boot maybe that's causing the reboots

Hi, i have had this problem about occasional hangups and fc's after the ota update, my ZL works for a few hours or minutes, then it just hangs or gets a force close issue on the home launcher or any other app open at the time. Ive had my zl for 4 days now and i restarted it about 20times already in the last 3 days.
Anyone have this same problem?

Nope, Haven't had this problem, which version of the zl do you have? Mine's c6502
edit: Might because of the update that you are having these problems, either factory reset your phone and see if that helps
Well as with phone reset after Any update..

rooting it before updating ota would have failed, so guessing you rooted after updating. Did you try factory resetting otherwise, you might need to flash stock build again....

Hey guys,
My friend installed the new lollipop ota and his phone doesn't start normally anymore.
He says that some failure reports show up and that he might report the error/failure.
He has no rooted phone or something like that. He never tried.
What can he do? Ota installing manually from original recovery or such things like that?
Thanks guys

Send it for repairs. It is less than a year old and if he never rooted it is defective and his warranty is still good.

Yes, I think this is a Problem for Warrenty.
Try this first. Yesterday i resolved the problem by my self.
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/bootl-loop-lollipop-update-t3016142
BUT TRY WARRENTY FIRST.
Phone gives error reports when booted Help i don't know if I have the same problem but my HTC One m8 went ballistic after I tried to install lollipop. For reference I have a sprint (unconnected) Htc One m8 Harmon Karman edition with Ł launcher as a launcher. I went to settings and found an update. The update download and then installed. When the phone went to boot it booted then instead of taking me to the home screen, it took me to a white page with a loop of error reports of apps not working. I can't get into the phone at all. I tried to boot in recovery but that did nothing. Please help I'm desperate.
Hello together,
I got a strange problem with my new HTC M9.
Everything was fine for the first 2 weeks, but then it startet to lag extremly.
There are mini freezes every few seconds. Sometimes i have to wait 2 seconds for the system to continue... It appears after a fresh restart and with all apps close.
I wanna ask here, before doing a reset and loosing all my settings.
Btw it is a stock unrooted phone (1.32.161.15).
I could not find a topic for this. Noone else experience lags like this?
Thank you!
Regards
Sebastian
yes it will remove everything on the internal storage but im not sure about the sd card. just do a back up while its still working.
I have the exact same problem !! have you found a solution to this or resetting the device is my only way out?
