Hey,
does it happen while running normally or while booting up?
I guess it's important to know what ROM you are using ... maybe you got something wrong while flashing your phone ...

Probably a hardware issue, you need to send it to htc for repair , so go baxk to stock
sent from my htc desire running aurora v03
Flash back to a stock Rom first and see if it still reboots.

Basic case of motherboard problem. Go back to stock and send it to HTC for repairs and they will change your motherboard.

Hello All,
I fear I may have bricked my phone.
After installing the G2-Fast Kernel, my phone constantly resets itself to the HTC logo screen, goes black as if to load the OS, then resets itself again.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to boot into recovery? I can't seem to find any info on how to do this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Nevermind. I just installed Baconbits and I got my phone back up and running again.

Macarony,
No Sense ROM. I was just running a the stock ROM and I had it OC'd to 1.4ghz, but I decided I wanted to give the 1.9ghz a shot, but it just made my phone power cycle incessantly.
I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to all this flashing/modding/rooting/romming, so I wasn't 100% as to what I was doing
Do you have any suggestions in terms of which custom ROMs I might want to install?
hi, im not sure if anyone else has encountered this problem, but ive had my desire hd for a few weeks now and its been working great. i rooted and flashed with hd revolution and again everything worked great.
now today i flashed an updated verison of that rom and when it had rebooted i noticed that the whole screen is suddenly not being used. a few milimeters on the right hand side and top of the screen and the image is slightly squashed to fit into that space.
i rebooted a few times and did a battery pull before thinking it must be a bug in the new build of that room and restored the room i backed up just before upgrading. but the problem is is there :/
not only that is present on all boot levels, so when your booting its there and in fastboot or recovery :/
could this be a hardware problem? has anyone else encountered this?
sorry if ive not explained this very well
thanks
must be a bug... what i suggest is do a full wipe and then flash a fresh rom...see if that solves ur problem doode

If you download the PD98IMG.zip for the downgrade thread and place on your SDcard, boot into bootloader (not recovery) your phone will restore itself to HTC stock firmware.
everytime when i turn off my phone or go into the recovery menu i always end up having my home, menu, back and search lights stop working, its really annoying and i dont know how to fix it.
im running the latest IceColdSandwich twisted edition
That used to happen to me a lot with the stock rom. Are you sure you followed the correct installation methods?

Hi all..
I recently got my HTC One X and unlocked the bootloader, installed Clockwordmod followed by flashing a couple of different ones to see which one I liked.. (All of them are snappy, feel & look great...)
Where the problem lies is when I try to play a game or watch a video (aka accessing the gpu) the system instantly freezes and then reboots..
This problem never occurred using the stock software only became apparent when I started using customs.
It happens with all games I've tried...
Problem is now what shall i do? I made the foolish error of not backing up my stock ICS.
My phone is unbranded, so perhaps I could use someone elses unbranded stock rom to revert back to?
Shall I unroot? Pretty bloody worried to be honest... what if i've broke it?
Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks in advance

Hey thanks for replying so fast.
I was just looking for what you suggested and cannot find it anywhere in the development section nor in the "everything htc one x" thread...
Am I being blind?
Also, do I just flash it like a normal room? (e.g. put it on my internal memory and flash through recovery?)
Thanks again

I'm sorry Adam but that link requires me to have 10 posts or more. It must be in a special section then?
I'm going to try and be helpful for a few posts instead of being lazy!

Thanks.. just realised this is the rom I am running on now and the problem is still persistent.
Just games and videos it seems.
I am not sure about superwipe..
I always wipe data & cache when I installed a new rom... different thing?
What do you think now?

Superwipe wipes the system as well, going between different ROMs without doing this may be the cause of your issues. Back up and try it out

Cool thanks, going to try it.
EDIT: haha, where the hell is superwipe?
Seems I can only find it for sensation?

Adam, thank you for helping this far.
I have completed a superwipe along with clearing cache and wiping data, reinstalling stock rom and no luck. the problem still occurs... open up a game and it instantly freezes and reboots itself.
Argh, my stomach feels rough...
What do you think i should do now?
edit: just a quick update, have tried various roms and the problem occurs in all. superwiped everytime as well. i think its a problem with the gpu...
in the mean time if anyone else could chime in with any ideas/help would be v.grateful..
otherwise should i send phone back?

If you send the phone for repairs HTC will claim the mainboard needs changing and try to charge you several hundred for it because your bootloader is unlocked.
Try going to settings>developer options and toggling force GPU rendering

Have tried this too, no luck.
Any other ideas? The phone works perfect apart from this...
It's a new contract phone and comes with a 30 day fault return, couldn't I unroot it and give that a go? Would they know?.
Bump for this one last time before I try and get it replaced.
Any thing else I can do?
Every once in a while when I turn my phone on it wont start. It will bootloop then after a couple times it boots up fine. I get the send bug report to HTC thing and I do it. I have no games installed, minimal apps installed (5), have played with the theme, on latest firmware. Anybody else having this happen? TBH it seems very random.
Things I have tried:
Clear cache
Format all storage
Factory Reset both ways
After Reset not touching for a while so it can settle
Switching SD cards
Edit: Found a solution but at this point will flash custom rom. Had no more issues after that. Tired of ads in everything so flashing custom and getting adblocking lol
Unlock
Flash TWRP
Format everything except ext sd
Reboot into bootloader
Ran latest RUUexe 1.80.617.1
Hi Orvon,
Would exchange the device for a new one tbh.

I would format data and reset in twrp and start from scratch, if it still happens after a format and reset I would return the phone if possible
delete
I had this issue on fully stock u.s. Verizon version. Formatting the SD card solved it for me.

Same isseu here (by bootloop I mean in this case splashscreen comes up twice. Then at the 3th time it boots into the bootup.zip animation and all is fine). Difference is ROM: Leedroid r110.
Notice: when phone is connected to laptop by original USB cabel=> phone boots normal.
Just reporting.
Kind regards
