I tried to install a custom boot animation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJopFQqgjQw <-- This one, to be exact. (The dark one with no text)
Anyways, I installed it using ROM Toolbox, and rebooted. It got about 3 seconds into the animation, and froze. It stayed like that forever. So, I decided to shut down, and try again. Nothing. I even tried wiping the Cache partition. Still nothing. I have a backup of the original animation.
I have no idea how to delete the current animation, and go back to the old one. It won't even let me access my device. Is there any way to fix this using ADB or fastboot? (Or maybe a flashable animation ZIP) Thanks.

can you get into recovery if so have you got a backup or a rom on phone just flash that will fix
I can get into recovery just fine. The problem is, I don't have an old backup to work off of. I might just have to backup my data using ADB, and factory reset. I would not like to do this, so if you know where ROM Toolbox stores installed boot animations, that would be great.

I had followed direction to root and everything else. I have used Rom Manager to install the fresh 0.1d rom. Everything went fine. However I wanted to see what the other roms were like. I used the Rom Manager to boot into the clockwork recovery (v1.8.1.9) but went I try to load a different rom or .zip it starts the process and brings up the progrss bar and the closes out without doing anything. Now I am stuck with half a rom (bits and pieces of fresh). I do STILL have root but that seems to be the only good thing. What do I need to do to flash a rom????
???
Cmon people. Lil help, please!?
Try using the manual evorecovery instead. It works better for me.
id just just reflash it.. power off the phone, while holding down hit power, then when it the screen comes back up hold up and power, then do the wipes and flash from zip

flash through the manual recovery, this should work best... gives a you a chance to wipe everything, which I am not sure if clockwork rom manager does, i may be wrong though
You did a nand backup right.
If you did just boot into recovery and restore it.
If didn't follow the dorrctios for pushing the Rom zip file while in recovery.

yea boot into recovery, when the examination shows up, use the recovery-windows.bat. then wipe and restore
I'm running Arhd with the stock kernels. Have been using it with no issues since the day I got it.
Wake up this morning to find it getting to the google logo and then rebooting. I can get into the boot loader and cwm, however if I try a backup it says 'error while making a backup image of data"
I can't restore a backup either as I get the same error where I can't restore /data.
I managed to wipe all data and flash a new rom but that still loops
Any ideas?
EDIT: Flashed the stock Google image and it seems to work :/

now flash an updated version of cwm and on to another rom... hopefully.
I've had this same problem before. Twice. What in the 7th circle of hell causes this randomness? I didn't flash anything, just tried to read a text and same thing. Is there anyway to recover without typing in 50 million lines of coding to flash stock google image and lose everything again?

Hi guys! Happy New Year!!
I have a problem, I run MiNCO v6 ROM and till yesterday it worked properly, but i found the volume a little bitt low, so i installed Vomer's patch audiov5, available in his modding thread and designed for MiNCO ROMs, which didn't gave me any problem with past MiNCO ROM versions live v5 or v4.
So I went to recovery, installed mod from .zip and rebooted; after 5 minutes the device was still blocked on a screen saying: "Android Upgrade, Application starting..." or something like that; so i decided to remove battery, and put it back again. From this moment the phone is stuck in boot loop, if i turn it on it block on MINCO logo.
I can access recovery using fastboot mode so i tried to restore from a Nandroid i had on the device but recovery said there were no files, i don't know why.
SO what can i do?? I have original ROM zip saved on the memory of the device, maybe i could wipe cache and flash fresh ROM?? Do i need to wipe also data and dalvik?? Other solutions??
Thanks.
Wipe data. Flash a known good rom. I don't see why you needed to make a thread when you could get to recovery.

Sry if I just wanted to be shure of what I'm doing.
Using UpdateMe on my GS3, I downloaded Free GS3 3.0 to my phone (I was running the previous version). Went into TWRP, installed it (backed up and wiped all caches and system before hand). Rebooted, and it worked fine. Then, I went back into TWRP to install a mod for the batter percentage indicator that I had previously used on the old version of Free GS3. Installed it, worked without a hitch. Except, now my phone won't boot. It flashes the samsung logo then the galaxy s3 logo, followed by blank screen. That's it. I think the problem is that my version of TWRP isn't the latest version (I couldnt' find out how to update it anywhere). Now, I have no idea what to do. Somebody please help, I just want to use my phone again.
Go back into recovery wipe cache and dalvik and reflash the rom. Do not use the mod again.

The problem is the mod. The MD4 update changed a lot of things, you're just gonna have to wait for Clark44 to update the battery mod.
So this is the weirdest "brick" I have ever experienced. My phone was working flawlessly with a TWRP recovery and a slightly modded mostly stock ROM. I was playing around modding the stock MMS app, SecMms.apk, and flashing it through recovery. One of these flashes did not complete successfully. I got to the lockscreen, but it would not respond. And there was no network connection. So I figured something got screwed up. I rebooted into recovery and flashed a stock ROM. Boot loop. I got back into recovery and performed a factory data reset, erased everything, flashed a stock ROM. Boot loop. I downloaded a completely stock ROM with stock recovery, stock everything. Got into download mode and flashed it through ODIN. Boot loop. Well, actually, the initial boot got a screen where I could see the taskbar with time and no-service indicator; the rest of the screen was black for a minute; then I got a popup window stating that "Process system is unable to continue" and asking if I wanted to wait of close it. Then it boot looped. I tried booting without a SIM card and an external SD card - same result.
So, to recap - I can get to Download Mode, and ODIN, but anything I flash, including completely stock ROM boot loops.
I am at a loss as to what to try next. If anyone has ideas, I'm willing to try just about anything. I'm gonna take it to T-Mo store tomorrow to see if they can do anything with it...

Go into recovery mode and do a complete wipe including "Factory Reset", wipe data, wipe system,
wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache and then if you have a working nandroiod backup restore it.
If you don't have a nandroid backup then go into download mode and flash the official stock
firmware for the N900T phone from http://SamMobile.com
Either one of these two options will get your phone back up and running.
Good luck!
I have already done all of the above, and...no go. Even stock firmware from SamMobile boot loops. Unfortunately, I do not have a nandroid backup, so that's the one thing I cannot do.

Google zedomax you will find his website for unrooting note 3. Will walk you thru with ever step.
It is no longer rooted after I have flashed stock firmware/ROM from SamMobile. Believe me , I have tried all the known methods of returning this phone to stock/unroot. I have flashed through recovery when I had custom recovery. I have flashed through ODIN. So far I have been unable to fix the issue. I am thinking my internal storage is corrupt, or the partition is corrupt. Anyone knows of a way to rebuild/repartition internal storage?

Did you try the "boot loop fix" flashable? It's essentially a script that sort of recreates the efs partition in recovery. It's been linked a few times in the twrp thread, and there may be a thread dedicated to the topic (search for "brick loop") - I don't have the links handy though, apologies.
The mans right^ that helped me out through my "soft brick". Totally out of the blue. Wasnt even messing around with anything I didnt knew I was doing

Anybody has a link? I've searched, but there's nothing specific to Note 3 TMO...

The method is outlined in the OP of this thread but the flashable version of what is outlined there can be found in this thread - hope that helps!
Thanks. I'll give it a go after work.
UPDATE: All is well in the world again. Thanks everyone for all your help. Thanks dwitherell ! The thread you pointed me to was the solution!
