[Q] Cyanogenmod 11 battery time - LG Optimus G (International)

Everytime I flash the latest build of cm11 I get no problems at all with the rom, no glitches. It works perfectly for me, except for the battery time.
When I use my phone for simple texting or tweeting or anything of that form, my battery seems to be drained in a short period of time. The battery time in standby is still the same as stock rom.
I am currently using cm11-20140429 for the E975 model
I have tried changing kernels, I am currently using the 4.4.2 cyanokernel from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2572380
I have tried turning of Google Now Launcher and i switched back to the stock cm11 trebuchet, but the problem remained.
the problem is not battery-related or charger-related since the battery worked perfectly on stock rom(more than 24 hours of listening to music on standby)
So I was wondering if any of you had the same problem or if there's any solution that you guys have found?

T989 Nexus Rom battery drainage issue plus more

so I flashed the Nexus Rom as well as the newly updated 3.8 version with the battery % feature flashed on my phone. The entire procedure was done as instructed (restore/clear 3+ times on everything as instructed) and I waited well over 10 minutes upon a reboot. So all is set and almost everything is working flawlessly.
There are few issues, however, which I'm curious to know if I'm the only one experiencing this:
1. Battery Drain: Fully Charged at 100%, unplugged the cable at 6AM this morning. The phone has been on its battery power for roughly 7.5 hours now handling a total of 5 minutes of calls, roughly 30 text messages, 5 minutes of non-wifi internet usage, email is being pushed, and flashed 3.8. My display is set slightly below the mid section and I have zero widgets on my main screen except for the search bar. A total of 6 icons on my menu and that's it (only 1 page). My battery is at 40% right now. It's only been a day since I've had this flash and I just flashed on the 3.8 just few minutes ago.
2. From the Status Bar pull down menu, Shutdown and Reboot, Recovery option would hang and freeze the phone until I pull out the battery. I can only enter the Recovery mode manually by holding both +/- volume, power on, and releasing both once the 'samsung' logo appears.
3. Mobile HotSpot freezes for good 1-2 minutes. I cannot use my phone as a Hotspot at the moment.
I absolutely love the Nexus Rom from the looks, performance, looks to looks, but few of the glitches I've mentioned are quite irritating. If I'm the only person experiencing this, I'd want to continue on the search to remedy this issue. Please share some experience, ideas, or resolution if you have any!
1.) That's about right for battery. It's a leak so the battery life is still wanting compared to gb. If you thinks that's bad though, you should have seen uclc4
2.) Known bug. Even though its ucld2 the shutdown bug is still present for a few, and especially manifests itself as soon as you run fix permissions. Although the shutdown hang is "reportedly fixed" on ucld2 i'm running seanscreamz sky ics 4.2D-8 with ucld2 base and i have the same problem as well.
Suggestions, either use quickboot from google play, or reflash following op instructions and DO NOT fix permissions
3.) Hotspot doesn't really work all that well, even with the ultracfg fix. I recommend the "WiFi Tether 3.1-beta12" app, i'm using this instead and it works well.

Thanks for the input. I wish the battery life was better. I'll let it sink in for a few days to see if it'll improve. If not, I'll just have to keep searching for a rom with a better battery life. I've tried Beastmod, Juggnaut and many others which have yet to last for over 12 hours.
I read that the hotspot issue was fixed and with the 3.8 update, I presumed it to be completely polished. The shutdown bug, I can live with - hoping there's an upcoming fix in the works.
This ROM is the sickest looking ROM I've tried so far. I wouldn't call it the smoothest due to it's intermittent force closures and freezes, but when things improve down the road, I think this one will stay on my phone for awhile!
I've been using this rom for about a week and the battery has been working great, better than any stock rom I've had. I'll unplug it in the morning around 745 and it'll last until I go to bed around 11.

You should try Mr X' s tweaked Telus stock ROM. This ROM has the best battery life among T989 ROMs period. It is Canadian but works great on T-mobile network. It also does not have much bloatwares as T mobiles stock one. Just Make sure you have wifi sharing, wifi sharing manager and social hub frozen through titanium backup.
As for wireless hotspot, the stock one from Telus works well.
I get about 16 hours use. It may vary for you but battery lasts longest with this ROM.

[Q] really bad battery life, unable to get stock rom

Hello,
At first, I am rooted now for probably month, so I am little bit new to all this stuff. My desire HD has really bad battery. (it had before root too) My battery is dead after probably 11 hours of very slight use - 30 minutes of reading news, 3 or five messages, and approximately 3 minutes of call. (wifi off, gps off, auto-sync off, just mobile data switched on all the time). I have tried it with fresh install (without any extra app like viber or skype or some game) of Sabsa Prime v 12, v14, Cyanesomething - I can't remember what exactly it was, with PacMan too...
I have tried recalibration of my battery too.
I bought new OEM battery, and still the same. Dead after at most 13 hours of really doing nothing.
If anyone had the same problem, please say me why is this happening...
I have tried to get original rom back, but RUU_ace_sense... is not working, I don't know why... Because I would like to get the phone back to the retailer...
Could anyone help me please? With battery or with original rom?
Thank you
Install Better Battery Stats from XDA. Look at wake locks and alarms (which needs you to enable root permissions). If something is draining your battery that will tell you which app is responsible. If it works for you I would recommend buying it from the Play Store to support the developer.

[Q] S3 - Cyanogenmod 10.1.3-RC2-d2att - Using Google Maps causes major battery drain

I noticed lately that my battery has been draining quite a bit when using Google Maps for navigation. It's gotten to the point where 30 mins of continuous use for navigation has completely drained my battery. Now this has happened at least 5 times in the last few weeks now and it has rendered my phone completely useless for Navigation. I did have the Cyanogenmod 10.1.2 ROM installed but recently installed 10.1.3-RC2-d2att and the problem still seems to persist.
I've ready many posts talking about turning off GPS, Location Services etc. but I can't obviously turn off GPS when I need to use my phone for navigation. I also noticed that using a car charger didn't do much as the battery was draining much much faster then the battery was charging. Also , the phone seems to very very hot.
Same hear. I just moved from Rogers's stock image. Battery life on 10.1.3-RC2-d2att is terrible comparing to stock image.

Any 4.4.2 Rom without Bluetooth issue

Hi I have tried couple of Roms like Ditto and AOSB 4.4.2 Roms. For all these I have issues with my car bluetooth. The calls cant be answered properly or nothing cant be heard. I have raised this issue in my posts also. But not sure, any got fixed.
so please help me by telling, If there is any 4.4.2 Roms for N7100 without car bluetooth issue. Please help
I am on CM11 Nightly build from 14th March (have been using CM11 since M2 release) I went to this because others I tried lost my baseband and IMEI.
This works fine with my Parrot system - for both calls and playing music from my phone.
Only found your query because I am looking to see if there any questions on the fact that the in call volume level when just using the phone is very quiet even with it on full volume.
THe other quirk I have found (not a show stopper) is that the phone no longer reports the provider correctly. Before I moved from stock, the phone reported my provider as EE, now it fluctuates between T-Mobile and Orange
Am planning on trying out SlimKat.
I could be wrong but I think that most 4.4 ROMs out there are based on CM11
I have the N7105 LTE version of the phone
I switched to SlimKat last night and this one also has no problems with Bluetooth - used it to listen to music and make phonecalls from the car on the way in to work this morning.
It's early days but comparison between CM11 and SlimKat so far would be that SlimKat is the better ROM. It's hard to recall but am sure that I can get more app shortcuts to a screen, plus am not restricted to using hangouts for SMS messages.
Both ROMs have pretty good battery life with some aggressive Greenifying - been off charge for 6hours 30 mins so far today and have used 13% battery, bluetooth has been on all the time, mobile data is switched on but wifi doesnt stay on when screen is off.
SlimKat seems a good deal faster/more responsive than CM11 and Quadrant would seem to back that up - 6782 on SlimKat, 5656 on CM11 (CM11 was running in performance mode at the time too) so that is roughly 20% faster without applying any performance enhancements.
Think I will be sticking with this for a while

I too recently shifted to SlimKat and have no issues with BT connected to my car system.

Wifi doesnt stay means...wifi gets disconnected when the screen gets turned off ? Is this an issue ?

It is how I have set it up - it's in wifi options - when the screen is off you can keep wifi running all the time, or only when it is plugged in to charge, or never.
I use the "never" option unless i am downloading a large file such as an OTA update or even a new ROM. This helps the battery life.

[Q] cm12 WIFI authentication and battery drainage issues

Hello Guys,
until a couple of weeks ago I had cm11 installed. It was mostly awesome , ESPECIALLY battery life, it would last up to 48 hours, YES ; 48 hours, it never lasted less than 24 hours unless I was using Maps for a long period.
Now I have cm12 installed (build # cm_amami_userdebug 5.02 LRX22G 2312e8540e test-keys, cm12 version up to 2015-03-01 nightly, all having the following two issues which might be connected:
- wifi will disconnect frequently, citing "authentication problem", I just turn it off and on again and it reconnects immediately; no need to re-authenticate.
- huge battery drainage.
Both issues are resolved by reinstalling cm11. But since there is lots off issues with cm12 recovery the switch back and forth is not easy any more and take at least two hours; plus I wanna keep using Lollipop

Best wait for the proper port of Lollipop from Sony.
Several cries for help in the Q&A thread from people with broken CM builds. What's the obsession with putting some random port on your phone to see if it will work?
Have you tried the CM thread?

well, I am not experienced enough with these forums to know where to post that question.
One thing though, it is not a z1c issue, it is happening almost for all CM12 builds on any device. Just Google "cm12 wifi authentication problem" or "cm12 battery drainage issues. You will find issues for nexus devices, for oneplusone and for a whole bunch of different devices. No solutions offered though.
Anyway, I am back to cm11 nightlies now, but hope cm12 issues will be resolved.
