Bought a HTC One m8 today and when the battery gets low the notification light starts to blink red, any way to disable it? Couldn't find it in the settings.

Guess you mean the Proximity sensor... Usually it's activated if you receive a phone call to lock your screen if you put your phone to your ear. If it lights up permanently there must be an app which makes use of this sensor all the time.

It's in the right place to be the proximity sensor, but that's awfully bright.
It's supposed to be a dull red...pretty much barely noticable.
Is this since flashing a particular ROM and/or kernel? Or installing any particular app?

Try a different one, or perhaps a different kernel. See what happens. It may be something in the ROM responsible.
There are kernel functions out there like Pocket Protection that make use of the proximity sensor. Or gesture-based control apps that use it...you know, wave your hand over the phone to do stuff. Might be something like that in the ROM, dig into the settings and see if there is anything like that.
I noticed there is no led flash for notifications. Also have untick, restarted phone and tick again. Same thing there is no led flash.
I have no idea.

Are u getting the red light when charging? If no, then you will need to delete a file in your /sys/etc/intd folder that goes like 99test something..delete it and restart..all should be ok..
there's a hunch that this issue could be related to the hboot..have u updated ur hboot to the latest...updating should solve this issue too
Amirage
Yes, still getting red light while charging and green when full. But not for all messages notifications. Thanks i will check for it

My device also like that since 4.1.1 rom. At my Wildfire S is working that function.

Hi, my M8 seems to be using quite a lot of power even though it's turned off. For example, overnight whilst I was asleep, it used 30% of the total power consumption. Anyone know why this is happening? Here's a screenshot from just now, after I'd reset my phone.

BlinkFeed is also the name of the launcher.
Thanks mate!

No problem. I asked the same thing to myself before realizing.
Can anybody let me know if there is a way to turn on vibrate when ringing on the m8 with a stock ROM? I can't figure it out for the life of me.

Hey, how about telling us how to do it, please? Now that you mention it, I'd like to know too.
Thanks.
Your phone can't be in vibrate mode has to be in ringer mode
Setting>sound>Vibrate(vibrate feedback for calls) check box

Thanks. That was an odd and confusing way for them to describe the option.
When I take my phone out of extreme power saving mode, it syncs gmail, twitter, Facebook exc. But then, it doesn't auto sync.
I have noticed that it does sync when I wake up the phone and unlock it. But as I said it doesn't notify me right when I get an email. Is there a way to fix this?

Do you have sleep mode turned on? If yes that's why it doesn't auto sync.

Then I have no idea. Mine was on and when I turned it off everything works fine in terms of syncing.
