Hello,
I have a Sprint galaxy s2 flashed to MetroPCS as follows:
model number: sph-d710
Android version: 2.3.6
baseband version: s:d710.10 s.el29
kernel version: 2.6.35.7-sph-d710.el26-cl839620
build number: calkuin's e4gt rom v2.7
hardware version: d710.10
Can anyone please tell me which ICS version would be best for me? I have searched all the forums and have not been able to find any answers...
There is a MetroPcs ICS forum but it is for EVO phone only...
Thanks in advance for any help!

You might find what you're looking for in the Q&A Section. I don't for sure if anyone has posted about MetroPCS before but if they have that's likely where it would be.
Good luck.
Thanks!
Here is the only thread we have ob metro

Please ask a Mod to move this to the proper location for questions.
[Q] belongs in Q&A. There's a whole sub forum for people to ask questions :silly:
But you can flash any rom. I flashed my phone to virgin Mobile. It won't change any of the settings that effect the carrier. To get working MMS you need to change the apn settings

Go to sammobile and find the file to flash your phone with. If I can remember it correctly, they classify it according to carrier and model.

1) You are in an AT&T SII (sgh-i777) forum, asking about an AT&T SIII (sgh-i747).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3-att
2) The internet tells me that the latest STOCK firmware for the sgh-i747 is Android 4.3, Touchwiz UX/UI.

Downgrade your stock kernel to a version earlier than about June, which is (was) still vulnerable to the root exploit (security hole) that towelroot is using. There is a thread here (something about knox 0x0 in the title IIRC), where somebody described how to extract/isolate the kernel from a ROM. Flash that old Kernel via Odin and then run towelroot. After that you extract the original kernel from the stock ROM package you are currently using and flash it again. Not that easy, but it works and you'll learn a lot. Be sure that you understand what you are doing. Read some threads here..
