[MOD] Wi-Fi Direct For Various Htc Devices - HTC One X

Ciao a tutti!(hi all!) :fingers-crossed:
As many of you know, our OneX is equipped with the Wi-Fi Direct function, but is totally unusable because it lacks the application to use it, so after testing various options I found the one that best fulfills its task: it is an apk extracted from an asus tablet.
Once installed you will find the wifi direct under sharing options in the various programs.
Tested with Cm10.1 and stock rom.
Now you can share your files with other wifidirect capable devices....
I can't be sure, but it should works with other HTC devices too (One, OneS, etc. ....)
:good:

....feedback?
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

I tried it on my new HTC one dual SIM ... the app looks like it works and it searches for other wifi direct devices and discovers and connects to it but unfortunately when i press share nothing happens
1st device is HTC one dual SIM stock rom 4.4.2
2nd device is Galaxy S4 i9500 Stock rom rooted 4.4.2
thanks for your trying and wishing it works

[Q] Bluetooth alias rSAP

Hello,
so Android 4.0.3 dosn´t support rSAP for bluetooth.
The most in car handsfree radios must use the rSAP future.
What can we do?
I use the Android Revolution Rom, but it dosn´t work yet...
I've tested the RSAP app from android-rsap.com with my (rooted) HTC One X (stock HTC ROM). Unfortunately it does not work.
I think we'll have to wait for a custom ROM for the HTC One X which supports RSAP. I'd like to use it with my RNS510 navigation/phone in a Volkswagen.
First donation for this functionality would be from me.

Here is a answer for all the peaople they use your Android 4.0 device with our Handsfreespeaker in cars or with bluetooth!

Mike can you replace this in your Rom?
There is a posting on the google code forum about this. It is ridiculous to have to pay a developer big money (for an android app) when it should be available in the core code.
is this solved ? i have problems to connect to my RNS510 too.

[Q] Will the Cyanogen Mod V10 work with my Cricket Wireless HTC One V

I just got an HTC one v from Cricket Wireless and through a bit of patience (which i need badly ) Was able to root it with an AIO kit (Props to the dev of that kit.)
I Recently read that this phone won't be getting Android 4.1 or 4.2 .
I'm wondering (and this is why I posted in general. What roms would be awesome for this little phone and well...I've been all over the net and I'm curious as to "What's cool?"
Would Cyanogen Mod work with this phone?
Would I lose any services (Talk, Text, Data)
I'm aware of the possibility but what are the steps I can take to prevent it/recover from one (if it happens)
I do believe I have the original RUU from another website. and the android SDK on this computer.
I will probably have millions more questions and I am going through the forums, but, I'm interested in hearing what's up. I'm also new here.
Welcome! If I'm not mistaken Cricket Wireless is no sir right{CDMA}? You might want to check out the HTC Cmda thread. However most of the CDMA roms are for Virgin Mobile.

Thanks for the welcome
I believe this phone is PRIMO C according to what I've read. Yes, CDMA
Android Ver: 4.0.3
I recently did a TWRP backup (2 hrs ago) with Ver 2.3.3.0
I'm also reading about Slim Bean.
I would like to have the latest os on this phone, eliminate a good percentage of the crap this phone came with (from Cricket) and have a good time. Yes I know it won't run games very well...but the rest is fantastic.
OK Great! Unfortunately some of the roms like Slim Bean have a bug that Forces a reboot randomly. Usually when unlocking your screen. Another problem is that these roms are usually made for Virgin Mobile and that you'll have to modify them for your network. There is a thread that shows this I believe. I would suggest Rhythmic Rom. It's based on CM10 and doesn't have the reboot bug.
Sent from my One V using xda premium
I think I saw a thread on how to modify a rom to match a service provider. Like a text file or something like that. (Best comparison I can make is modifying the morrowind.ini (for the PC Game Morrowind) file to use a specific sound) So I shouldn't have a problem there. (Just found that thread think it's this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2120559&highlight=cricket)
Rhythmic Rom...I did read a thread about that last night. I think the guy's in the process of trying to solve a bug with the phone's 5mp camera not working and video recording crashes. It looks like a good rom. I might want to try to test this rom out on an emulator (if possible)
If I remember CM10 is based off of Jelly Bean, an OS I'd love to have on this phone.
While I'm at it. I'd like to say thanks for your help so far, and thanks to anybody else who jumps into this thread. This is the first time in a while that I feel like a proper n00b at something.

Ps3 sixaxis one x

Just wondering, has anyone managed to pair their one x with a sixasis ps3 controller through Bluetooth?
I'm running cm10.1 rc2 official and I installed sixaxis pair tool on win7, re assigned the BT address to match the one in the sixaxis app on the one x, start the driver and press the PS button but nothing, it won't show up...
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi,
yes I've used the search function and pretty much scoured the whole net, but couldn't find anything regarding my particular problem.
I have an unrooted German HTC One X- no branding as far as I can tell. I can currently use my PS3 Controller via OTG amd it works fine, but Bluetooth doesn't work ANYMORE. the phone did once Detect my controller via BT, requested a PIN to pair and then it just stopped. Now it can't even find it anymore.
What's the deal? That tells me it should be theoretically possible to use my pad via BT. Of course my phone's BT adress is stored in the controller... I really don't know what to do anymore.
Thanks in advance for any help!

you need a rooted rom and the app called sixaxis so you can use it via bluetooth otherwise it won't work ^^
even with normal bluetooth mode it wouldn't work
Thanks for the quick reply!
However, I'd really like to know why my phone did detect it once without root... makes me think there has to be a way, although I can't really say that as I know very little about the One X and rooting in general.
Is it possible that the Android 4.2 update will help with this?
my one x also detected it one time but only one time...and no it wont solve it...therefore if you want to use via bluetooth you have to root your stock rom or flash a pre-rooted rom like the custom roms out here
Thanks for the reply again. Is anyone working on an app that would work without root? Is it even techincally possible, and if not, why?

Not possible without root ...only if the manufacturer or Google itself can enable it in their "roms" why you don't root your stock Rom or using a pre-rooted Rom ?

Well, I haven't really looked into it so far and everything I wanted to do with my phone, I could do - until now of course. I guess I'm also a tad bit discouraged by people telling me that the One X is difficult to root, although from what little I've seen it doesn't require more than following step by step guides...
What do you think; is there some merit to that? Is the One X more complicated in that sense?
I'm actually contemplating to root it now, but I want to know how long it'd roughly take. I wouldn't mind doing stuff with the console, but if there's an easier, faster, more reliable and more convenient solution, then shoot! (Unless it isnt just the barebones stock OS/ROM - I really don't need to fiddle with processor speed and the like, root apps are all I would ever need)
P.S.: What is a pre-rooted ROM and would it be easier/faster to get running?

At first to root hox its easier then with some other phones second there are some tools with which you can root it faster as typing all every time in cmd etc so it will make the most job...you just need to past some things in htcdev.com...you just need to follow those steps etc...you can also root your stock Rom which is atm on your phone so you just can install root required apps or if you want a custom kernel....with pre-rooted Rom I mean customs roms...they are already rooted so you can flash them and install whichever app which requires root ....if you aren't stupid in pc things like cmd or using tools where all is stated then it won't take long...not more then half an hour...really easy to do...if you have questions while rooting your stock Rom or flashing another Rom you can write me a pm

I got my 816 a few days ago from virgin mobile. I installed this mod yesterday. I believe my phone is a5chl but not sure how to tell. It is a beautiful phone and i love cyanogen mod. I came from an old htc evo 4g which had cm10 i believe with 4.3 android. I noticed others had problems with LTE radio and i do as well. If there is a fix for it then i missed it sorry. Other than that its beautiful and i thank the developer. Battery seems to be dying faster than with stock but could be just my settings.

You do have the a5chl. And batterly life does suck on CM12, and as of now there is no fix for data/LTE.
However CM11 works just fine and it's 4.4.4 KitKat, I recommend that.
thanks
I will install cm11 when i get off work tonight. Do i install the same gapps as i did for 12? It should say in the OP that LTE is not working. Not complaining just suggesting. Really looking forward to this being fully functional though because Android L is awesome!
Has anyone been able to use the HTC apps in the Play Store while using CM 11 or 12?

No, all versions are supported, Im using the Virgin mobile version (a5_chl) single sim. The only difference is that the duel sim variants have the problem of not being able to Call with the second sim card. But this is being worked on.

Thank you, Sir. I was having some issues figuring out whether or not my device was supported. My phone model shows as 710c, but the bootloader says a5dug. Who knew, right? Still, I'm sticking to cm11 unless you can comment on the stability of the ROM? I realize it is an alpha build.

Ya, the phone shows up as 710c for all variants. In terms of stability, its gotten much better. Around 12/24/14 I would get constant reboots, not I don't get them at all. But, others are having problems with this rom and have reported strange problems with the recovery not working and not being able to flash anything else. I can not recommend this build right now due to these problems, but I also do not know what these people did before hand with their phones, although I will keep using the cm12 build as my daily driver. I posted this in the main CM12 thread but here are the problems that I have noticed in the 1/4/15 build. If you are currently on cm11, I would suggest waiting for the nighties (No eta on those yet). Going from cm11 to 12 is easy but people have had problems going back.
Build as of 1/4/15
Minor/insignificant problems:
-Camera seems slow, Default app does not work well.
-No virgin mobile recognition, sprint recognized instead (This does not conflict with the phones ability to call or sms/mms)
-Battery symbol always appears even if "Text" is chosen in options
Minor Problems
-No ability to Configure Haptic feedback (Vibration on touch) but https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...o.HapticSwitch works
-Can not control volume while screen is off, pressing volume while screen is off wakes the device.
Major problems
-FM radio not working
-Default texting app does not work with Virgin mobile (App lacks APN settings to change this)
What Has been fixed
-No more random reboots (Haven't had one for 4 days, I used to have them every couple hrs)
-Defult music app works after 9 seconds now
HTC problems
-Cant charge phone without screen staying on when the phone is off. (anyone know a fix?)
