[Q] Bluetooth alias rSAP - HTC One X

Hello,
so Android 4.0.3 dosn´t support rSAP for bluetooth.
The most in car handsfree radios must use the rSAP future.
What can we do?
I use the Android Revolution Rom, but it dosn´t work yet...

I've tested the RSAP app from android-rsap.com with my (rooted) HTC One X (stock HTC ROM). Unfortunately it does not work.
I think we'll have to wait for a custom ROM for the HTC One X which supports RSAP. I'd like to use it with my RNS510 navigation/phone in a Volkswagen.
First donation for this functionality would be from me.

I will hope that mike from Android Revolution this in his rom compiled for the future...

Here is a answer for all the peaople they use your Android 4.0 device with our Handsfreespeaker in cars or with bluetooth!

Mike can you replace this in your Rom?

There is a posting on the google code forum about this. It is ridiculous to have to pay a developer big money (for an android app) when it should be available in the core code.

is this solved ? i have problems to connect to my RNS510 too.

Bluetooth

I've already been in a few discussions about this, but since then the situation has changed and this forum opened up.
The bluetooth for some applications on the Desire is weird. The WiiMote app for example, has a disclaimer that says "will not work on sense phones", where it works perfectly fine on every other Android device...
Now as far as I can tell from reading threads, the phone has been rooted and we now have access to the source code. So my question is has the situation improved?
If you use a rom which is non HTC sense it works fine, or do you mean will there be a fix for bluetooth with the HTC sense installed?

A fix with Sense installed. Which I'm guessing means rooting as it would involve hacking the UI.
Cyanogen Mod v6 has me interested though that should work with it yes?

HTC Input for cyanogen 7

I was trying to find a working version of the HTC Input keyboard with Cyanogen 7 because I really don't like the stock keyboard. Just wanted to share that I found one, not sure if everyone already knew or not but I thought I may as well just in case.
here's the link
The version that works is the High Res(Froyo/2.2), I haven't tested very much but it seems to be working fine.
As a side not, anyone know if there is any way to get the HTC Camera app working on cyanogen? I miss the effects etc. but am loving CM7 at the moment
(N.B. I am using CM7 Nightlies #4)

Because HTC wasn't nice enough to share the source code for the FM radio with the developer community. So the only way our developers know of to turn on the radio is to power up the whole chip, which includes bluetooth. Without the small amount of proprietary HTS code we are helpless to turn it on by itself.

according to my newsfeed, though, the desire z source code was fully released a few days ago. Was the fm radio source code not included?

(Solved) 2-way call recording on the htc one x (Working)

Hi all,
Maybe it's a little early to ask, but, will or can the HTC ONE X record calls? I know it will not come as standard and that root and custom kernel will probably be required.
Is this something that will likely be supported or even possible? I currently have a rooted desire with custom kernel and call recording through CallRecorder by Skvalex, it works flawlessly.
Will this be possible? I need to know as I have pre-ordered the One X but can still cancel it.
Please do not bring legal discussions to this thread, I know the law where I live and this feature is not illegal here.
Many thanks for reading
Oliver
xxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxx Update (21st April 2012) xxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxx
To enable 2 way call recording on our HOX we need...
The HTC One X kernel source code to be released (apparently this should be done this within 3 months of the phone's release?), please help encourage HTC to do this sooner by messaging them via their official site and twitter. Here are the links...
http://www.htcdev.com/contact
http://www.twitter.com/htcdev
Then we need a developer to edit the kernel source code to enable 2wcr
Experianced developers Leedroid and avs333 have already kindly offered to work on this for us.
If you wish to help support the developer you can donate to...
Leedroid here
and
avs333 here (via skvalex's website)
Also we need a call recording app to work with the newly developed kernel, Skvalex has a superb app that should be able to fulfil this. you can support his development by purchasing his call recorder app on Google play (Obviously not currently working with our One X's but is flawless on my old HTC Desire with kernel by avs333).
I have made a small donation to each developer and purchased the app, hopefully this must have feature will be available soon thanks the developers here.

<Here is the link for Onepagebook's patch and the full thread>
If you use this patch please leave us feedback, it would also be nice to thank him on his thread.

XXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX UPDATE 20th MAY 2012 XXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX

I believe if a Kernel developer want he can add that feature. So it's upto the Kernel developer. I'm using Xperia Arc and our Kernel developer has introduced that feature.

I totally agree
Hope it comes soon. Would help with donations to make it a reality.
Just a noob question though... the chipset doesn't have to be a qualcomm chipset to enable 2wcr does it?

Don't forget that HTC One X based on tegra 3, so there is no kernel patch for this chipset..
So anyone who already have One X, haven't tried any type of call recording (from patch, standard api or any other way) yet?
and what is possibility of somewhat working call recording happening?
Thanks.
Hi Skvalex, great to hear from you in this thread.
I am a big fan of your work and paid up user of your excellent call recorder (on my desire).
When you say there is no kernel patch for this chip set, do you just mean not yet? Or is this not possible. I think/hope some developers are working on this. I really hope 2 way recording will be available.
Cheers
Oliver

Yes, this patch is not created yet.. But there is no possibility to create 2wcr patch without the device.. So I've created web page to receive a donations to buy HTC One X.
And I know only one developer who can create this patch - avs333 (avs234 everywhere). He made possible to record from the line on HTC Desire, HTC Desire HD, HTC Sensation, LG Optimus 3D, Galaxy Nexus and on other similar devices. And money from donations will be spent for device for him.

thanks. Good to see things in action. I'm going to send a donation next week when I get paid. Hope there are more donators here

I've sent him a PM about us HOX owners helping out in testing , because I don't quite know how fast he's going to be able to get the money by donations
BUT if that's not an option, I'm going to donate

[MOD] Wi-Fi Direct For Various Htc Devices

Ciao a tutti!(hi all!) :fingers-crossed:
As many of you know, our OneX is equipped with the Wi-Fi Direct function, but is totally unusable because it lacks the application to use it, so after testing various options I found the one that best fulfills its task: it is an apk extracted from an asus tablet.
Once installed you will find the wifi direct under sharing options in the various programs.
Tested with Cm10.1 and stock rom.
Now you can share your files with other wifidirect capable devices....
I can't be sure, but it should works with other HTC devices too (One, OneS, etc. ....)
:good:
....feedback?
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I tried it on my new HTC one dual SIM ... the app looks like it works and it searches for other wifi direct devices and discovers and connects to it but unfortunately when i press share nothing happens
1st device is HTC one dual SIM stock rom 4.4.2
2nd device is Galaxy S4 i9500 Stock rom rooted 4.4.2
thanks for your trying and wishing it works

Airplay with custom ROMs

Gents,
As per title. Just got myself a brand new M8 and trying to decide if I install either a Sense 8 ROM, or one of the various 7.1 ones. A big deal for me is airplay, so I'd like to kindly ask - does the airplay functionality in HTC Connect work with aftermarket ROMs? If so, how did you get it to work?
Thanks much!
