Hi, my new tab 3 10.1 wifi won't boot. I just wanted to reboot it, he shouted down but never wake-up again, no light ni sign of life even if I connect the charger (battery was 99%).
What can I do?

I recommend taking it to your local Samsung store, but just a question, did you do anything before switching it off which may have caused this problem?

All I can think is that you've been given a faulty Galaxy Tab. Although I didn't have a good experience with Samsung support, it seems like it maybe needed in this situation.
I hope you can get this fixed!

Try holding down the power switch for up to 30 seconds. Sometimes that will reset the thing... :good: - Bud
also, remove your external micro SD if you have one inserted. Sometimes they go bad and it can screw up operation of the tab.
Nothing of all the things I have read on the Internet worked, finally I was able to get a new one, but only when adding some €€ to the merchant.

Hi, I am in a very tight spot and very high strunge right now. My brand spanking new HTC One X(I got it in the mail 3 days ago) appears to have bricked itself. It is completely stock, never rooted, and the only two apps I had on it were apex launcher and widget locker. The other night I decided since I'd been able to play with it for a bit I'd go ahead and update the software(it had an update available out of the book). OMFG. Everything was fine till I hit install and even then it looked fine until the install was complete and it went to reboot. This thing got stuck in the most vicous boot loop I've ever seen. It just got stuck rebooting over and over for right four hours before I was able to shut it down. It got so hot I couldn't hold it. I was worried I was going to get to watch my brand new $600 dollar phone melt before my eyes. Anyway I finally got it to turn off, either be it do to low battery or instability caused from excess heat and today when I tried to turn it for the first time came on but it just got stuck on the first screen didn't even make it to the boot animation. I held the power and luckily it shut off. I tried again and it won't even turn on now. I really need some help guys... This is my only phone. I had to dig out my old iTouch and use wifi to just get on xda. What should I do about this!? I'm so stressed right now... Please... Please... Help...
3 day old brand new phone?
Return it.
Either get your money back or get it replaced.
Why are you stressed? Stuff breaks, be glad it was in the first 3 days!
I wish I would have more knowledge to help you out.
Shut the phone down by holding power for 10 seconds. Then start it with Vol down and power. Let's see first what you get.

Help, help, help, help... Got it to come back on by plugging it into my charger for a bit it went into the same exact boot loop that you can't shut down in. Lucky the battery died quickly this time it didn't have time to get hot, but good god this needs to get fixed ASAP and I don't have any idea what to do. I'm actually in a hospital right now and will be here for awhile it looks like, so needless to say I can't use my pc or probably would have figured it out on my own already instead of begging for help.
I guess you did update with low battery... Did you try what I wrote before? Volume down and power at the same time when you plug in usb.

I didn't try it with a low battery... It was 70% when i started the update. The update was completed in 15 min without interuption. The bootloop started the second the update finished. the bootloop went on for 4 hours before it would even shut down and I held the power button for more then ten seconds some time and when it would shut down it immediately turned back on on it's own. When I tried turning it on today I intentially didn't charge it long just for the reason. And I haven't tried the power and volume yet(I can't reach the out let to plug in in, as I'm attached to an IV) me getting sick and this phone dying the first night at the hospital couldn't have happened at a worse time.

I can't I am in the hospital... Two days after getting my new phone my sore throat turned into mono so bad I can't drink water even. I'm on an IV and can't even reach the nearest out let let alone get to a computer and then ship this phone back. It's the only line of communication I had in here. Lucky I convinced my mom who was visiting me to drive home and get my old iPod. That's all I have right now.
But you can put it in charger before right? Put it in and then try Vol down and power at the same time.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk 2
I had my mom plug in/turn on for me. I can't have her try the down vol and power(shes very tec illiterate and strugged just to turn it on. I had to plug it in for her and then she walked the whole charger over to the outlet and help it out so i could see what it was doing)as I can't see what's on the screen very well from 10 feet or so it wouldntbe worth trying to get her to try the key combo. Hopefully I can get a family member to bring me a short extension cord but until then I can't try it. What is the idea with what that's supposed to do? Does it by bass fast boot or completely resent the phone or?
Well I thought we could get in bootloader mode to factory reset the phone. Maybe it should work then. I can't think of another step. Not being such a pro on this sorry mate.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk 2
Thanks just the same... I'm going to try the key combo before the night is through as I have an extension cord on the way. If I can do a factory reset I'm guessing I'll need to re enter my APN setting yes? This is such an inconvient timing of events. I'm gonna need someone to run home and get my notes for the proper apn for my network since this is an international phone I'm using in the us.
Can't you find the apn in the net? Let's hope we can get your phone work first then we'll see about apn.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk 2
This doesn't look real promising... I got the cord, started it to the boot loader and eyerything is locked/disabled. Why would this thing have a locked boot loader when it's the unlocked international version?
And for the past 15 min it's said checking SD card update at the bottom of the boot loader menu. I'd say I either got a corrupted file or it something else went wrong during the down load that wasn't evident because it looked like that part went fine when I did the update.
You're on stock that's why it's shown locked and the checking sd thing... Are you in fastboot usb? Should be underlined in red
If there is fastboot usb written in red do following. Plug of the charger press power one time move down to factory reset and power again. Let's see what's happening.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk 2
It didn't show any alternative boot options. Then I unplugged the charger and it showed up. I went down and I used the factory reset. It's working now except I need to re due my apn, i lost all my contacts, and Ill need to re download/set up apex along with widget locker.
At least it's working now. I guess you saved your contacts on gmail so this won't be a problem either. Apn search the net. Apex you have to do again yea.
Gesendet von meinem HTC One X mit Tapatalk 2
glad its fixed! apn settings should be avaiable from google, gmail should automatically load your contacts. enjoy your 1x and get well soon
Ya except I didn't synce my contacts with gmail. Like I said I just bout this phone and I transferred my old contacts via blue tooth so I'll need to do that again. I dont mind doing apex and wig locker again but retyping the apn will not be fun. Thank you though for your help. I really appreciate it. You don't have any guesses as to why it went into that boot loop do you or how I can avoid it happening again? I rather like to have up to date software so that's gonna be a problem if it does that again. How about my CPU and battery? Do you think they're damaged after how hot it got in that boot loop and for how long?
Hey guys
I am having an issue lately. My phone seems to be turning off randomly. It happens in my pocket most of the time, but one time i just left it on my desk, and a couple of hours later the phone was off for no reason.
Is this a common problem? I cannot bring this phone back, because I have bought it from someone else, and not from a shop.
Can it be linked to the power button? From my understanding is that the phone reboots itself instead of turning off when you hold the power button for a couple of seconds.
Thanks in advance.

I hope it is not a symptom of a dying Note 2 because of the SDS (Sudden Death Syndrome).
Try updating to the latest firmware immediately and hope it sorts the problem.
What kernel are you running? Redpill kernel had/has some SOD issues where the phone won't wake up and needs to be turned off by holding the power button down, it may be something similar.

I'm not rooted, just running STOCK 4.1 Touchwiz. I ran eMMC check and it seems that I'm affected by the bug. What are my options? Does 4.1.2 fix this issue? Can I fix this issue without rooting?

It a "sudden death syndrome" meaning there are no symptoms. One minute your android is all nice and cuddly with you, you turn around to grab that fresh packet of durex and the next its lying dead with its tongue sticking out. Lol

I don't know if I should wait. I don't have the update yet in my country. The closest country to mine is Germany. The CSC is different though. Also, do I lose all my data as in a factory reset?

A factory reset would make your Contacts, messages and other accounts go "boom".
No data would be wiped though so your pictures, media files will remain intact
The issue is not software related. It is most definitely hardware. The phone is flawed and shuts off on it's own under various conditions, all hardware related. I am not able to post externally due to not having enough posts yet. However, I have had the same issue on 3 Galaxy Note 2's from Verizon. I made a video that shows exactly what is going on and posted it on the following website...
wwwDOTgalaxynote2shutsoffDOTcom
You will have to paste that link in to a new browser and replace the DOTs accordingly to get to it, but once you see the video, you will be enlightened. Be sure to read the details I provided on that site as well. They go in to detail about the problems that I have had and the lack of proper support that Samsung is willing to provide.
Hi, some days ago I changed the Internet connection provider so I needed to change my sim (because my old one I wanted to use in the note was a normal sim, but I needed the micro one) so I went to a phone shop to make it cut.
I don't know how, the man, inserting the sim , just broke one of the connectors so him, after excusing with me, just told me he have made it fix.
The next day I came back there, and I gave me back my phone fixed, but as can I see, the piece is not the original one.
After that day, I noticed my note 2 just became hot more frequently than before (before it did only with hard games, now sometimes with Facebook or Chrome too).
So my question is:
Can the problem be hardware? Can it depends from that change? I didn't change rom or nothing from that day.
What should I do?

yes it can be so kick that man a## and ask him to get the original connector from samsung as due to that it can certainly be the cause of phn heating up and for your next use get a micro sim cutter from ebay it hardly cost even 2 dollars incaseyou use another sim soon
I want to come back there, but my fear is that he days me to wait for weeks for the original one.. I don't want to wait!

The device wouldn't turn on. I'm assuming it's hard bricked. Just got it like 2 months ago. Any ideas what I should do?

If you didn't mod it just claim your warranty from Samsung.
Did you try plugging it in to the original charger for a few hours? Which device are you even talking about, those tabs are slightly different from each other

Please say what device you have and what steps you performed before it got in this state.
Not sure what Tab u have like others have said but when I had the 8.9 via AT&T I did something wrong when flashing after rooting. My tab would not come on either. I plugged it into an outlet and into the computer but nothing happened. I contacted Samsung and sent it in and they repaired it at no cost to me.

You will need to provide a bit more detail.
1. Did you mod it in any way at all? Root, custom recovery, etc.
2. Was it physically dropped?
3. Was the battery charged correctly? Via cable plugged to wall, not via usb to PC
4. Any strange behaviour prior to latest shutdown?
The answers to these will likely hold the solution to your problem, friend.
I have an HTC One V that mirrored and flipped everything after I did a factory reset. So when it boots, it boots flipped and mirrored. Also the bootloader is flipped and mirrored. Before the factory reset everything was working fine...
The touchscreen remains normal. So it's almost impossible to tap the right buttons. Anyone that has a solution or at least a cause?

Well it's not mine. A friends kid got it from his mom. Don't know if it was dropped, but it was a used phone. The guy told me it was fine when he got it, but after a factory reset it flipped the screen. Don't know about the colors, haven't seen this HTC without this problem, so I only know it showing these problems. A few pictures of a normal one for reference perhaps? He didn't mention it was dropped.
It's not really important anymore, as the kid gave it back to his mother and he was promised a new one. A bit annoying, because he manages to break a phone a month and I get to try to fix them...

well the kid probably dropped it and it just took a bit for the display to go defective..
If it was really just after a factory reset you can try to RUU it but it doesn't seem that way. If he dropped it I don't think it's just a display damage it's more likely something on the motherboard. Or maybe the connector unplugged a little

You are not alone I have my secondary device (HTC One V) and thats too up side down and mirrored. I hope you have some solution for me. I have tried resetting and even I have change my ROM and recovery but not luck. So I believe that it must be some hardware problem. My phone was once damaged very badly and the screen glass is broken already.

The display can be mirrored in the kernel, it's really easy. I'll give you a kernel build with mirrored screen when I have some time.

If it's a hardware problem and everything is displayed upside down (the bootloader and splash screen also), you can't fix it completely by modifying software. But you can tell your display driver in the kernel to display everything upside down.
This doesn't fix the problem, it's just a workaround and your bootloader, recovery and splash screen will still be displayed upside down.
