Hi
My question is whats best, root with unlocking of bootloader or rooting with locked bl.
Are there problems occuring when unlocking the bootloader like camera malfunction?
I really would like to know it.

Easiest is with unlocked bootloader. I have unlocked bootloader and didn't find any problems (camera still works).

A month or two ago I unlocked my bootloader and rooted my R800X on 2.3.2. Ever since 2.3.3 has came out, I've wanted to update, but I cannot due to my bootloader being unlocked. Thanks to some very helpful instructions by a fellow XDA member, I did the instructions to relock my bootloader, but I am still rooted. Is that normal? How can I check to see if my bootloader is locked? I really want 2.3.3
You can check it by trying to use fasboot. If your locked, fastboot commands won't work (they'll come back with "you need root first" or something like that). Also, I think you need to do something to get rid of root and put the rom just like it was stock or the install might fail. Might try a factory reset. Good luck!

No if you root your phone that's all that will happen

I think it would be best if you flash your stock firmware to your phone first....as i have seen i lost both root & bootloader unlock after i did so...
I've rooted my play with zergRush metod, and I'm thinking about unlocking the bootloader so i can load custom rom, kernels ecc... Now, my phone is under warranty and unlocking bootloader will void it right? If I relock it, does it return under warranty?
I dont think so, since the DRM is not restored.
If you use the paid method then your drm certificates aren't wiped

And the paid method is this one? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1285285
And then for regain warranty: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134334
Am I right?
That's just a tool that can be used to unlock the bootloader if your phone is already able to do so right out of the box. But yes same idea as the paid method

If I flashed Bootloader relock on my PLAY does it mean the bootloader is locked again? Because I cannot access TrackID (it says [5]Error. Prease try again later) and that probably means the bootloader is unlocked. But I am not sure. Can someone help?
Nvr mind I found out that it's locked.

type this keypad *#*#7378423#*#* and under bootloader see if it is bootloader unlock allowed :"Yes"
if its YES then you can unlock your bootloader bro
Note: Unlocking bootloader makes you loose your warranty but still you can relock it back
You can root your device even if it is Bootloader Locked or Unlocked..
try it out and search in google bro you'd find better solutions than mine :good:

For rooting .42 firmware and below use Zergrush method by Doomlord (file named DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su.zip )
For rooting .62 firmware and above use Eroot (it's in chinese, but is easy to understand)
No need for unlocking bootloader, this is just for root stock firmware
