[NEED TESTERS] Recovery for Locked Bootloader - Sony Xperia M

Can someone test these recovery methods for locked bootloader. I would, but currently I'm not at home so please if someone can test it and report back

Like I said, test it because almost all Xperias are the same. Locked Bootloader hijack charger animation (because it launch on boot) so I think it should work.

No it will not work. The recoveries have to be developed per device. If this method did work we would have a working recovery by now.

I think @gamer649 is correct. Recoveries are made per device.

Okay so what did you do to root it? Do you have an unlocked bootloader?
yes, beside unlock bootloader there's no way we can get root from GB. currently all the methods in Xda doesn't work at all, i tried all of them.

Which method did you use to root once you unlocked the bootloader? And I take it you used the Sony official way correct?
i just use the Unsecure kernel that posted on development to get rooted. The way i unlock bootloader is using the sony official way. I don't think there's testpoint trick on this CPU yet.

That's what I figured. Just wanted to be sure. Have you tried relocking the bootloader? Just wanna know if the file works.

The relock file work pretty well. But I have to reflash the stock kernel after that, otherwise the phone wont power on. Of course it will lost root after that. I tried couple times already, so pretty sure it work

Hmm well I wouldn't consider that working. Will have to pass that on to the guy that made it so he can look into that. Would be nice to have a working relock file where you don't have to reflash stock after that.

i hate to break it to you but the device isnt unlocked etc. the app says right in the description.
Optimus G Pro support is due to drjbliss and loki

that would imply all freegee is doing is flashing a loki'd kernel/recovery. still able to do whatever you want thanks to loki but it doesnt mean the bootloader is blown open like you are thinking .

I've edited the app description to clarify this. I thought I had made it clear on the xda post and at the top of the app description for giving credit to bliss. The bootloader is still very much locked, but we have this working exploit thanks to loki. What I did was just build loki into cwm, so instead of the rom dev or kernel dev having to run the loki patch on their pc, now everytime someone flashes a zip or uses adb sideload their boot and recovery partitions are checked and lokified if needed. This just automates the loki process slightly. Freegee also makes it a little easier to flash these modified recoveries and disable the wallpaper (lge security) if someone wants to stay on a stock rom but just debloat it.
So please do not misunderstand, I just re-implemented loki. Please edit he thread title to indicate it was loki.

i guess i dont understand? you guys could have had roms ages ago with 2nd init recovery. you could have had true cm ports with loki recovery. nothing has changed, there is two ways a device has development on it, either teh people who have it step forward or they find a dev who is interested.

Shabby is right. We could have had roms from the get go but no one either knows or wants to build. I was in the process of learning but LIFE showed up at my door and I had to take care of that first. Now that I'm single and living alone, I could get back to being a creep that lives in a basement(literally in a basement apartment), and try to learn how to build Roms.
Shabby I have a question: Is building Roms pretty much the same for all phones? Generally speaking that is. Because I will no longer have this phone much longer.
Please Help

yes, for the most part building is building. get your build machine set up, sync a repo, edit some manifests and makefiles, configure, compile! obviously there are device specific things when you are trying to debug but the process is basically the same for any cm based rom once teamlgog has the cm bugs worked out for camera, by, etc. once our cm is pretty stable I'll start putting together some roms if someone else doesn't beat me to the punch.
if you want to put together custom roms based on stock there are a bunch of guides in various places across xda on deodexing and using the kitchen, etc to modify resources and add/remove apps and features. and if you want to play around with custom kernels, there's a thread in here to get you started. good luck!

Mind me asking why you don't want to install XZDualRecovery? Because it works perfectly fine on ZL, and there are both installer and flashable packages specifically for our model. Works for me... Oh, and yes, I am on .283 LB, same as you.

OK, fair enough, I see your point. I personally like choice and flexibility, and having more than one recovery doesn't affect anything negatively, so "bloated" is not the word I would use, but it's just me...

That's not true. It means no kernels... There's things like safestrap that allow you to flash a ROM to a different partition, and select either stock, or (ROM name here) from initial boot-up.
The ROM is just the body of the car, (what we see), but to access the motor, (everything that makes what we see actually happen), that requires bootloader unlock ?.

We have no safestrap (developer bailed), loki, or bump. So no custom roms yet. Some devices cannot flash anything without unlocked bootloader. We have only had root a couple of days things will come. I should have been more clear in my previous post, I forgot this is XDA where everyone knows everything already.

Without custom recovery we may not get Xposed, hence no gravity box, but we can hope they get a non-recovery version working on the G4.
If you are rooted and run Xposed you NEED to freeze the OTA update checker, otherwise prepare for a bricked device after an update.
now what if I unroot?

Why would we need a custom recovery for Xposed? I only rooted my G3, nothing else, and I'm using G3 TweaksBox just fine.
All I need on the G4 is a new, updated TweaksBox and I'm good to go. Between that and titanium backup I have my G3 running perfect.

Currently Xposed for 5.1 requires you to flash it from a custom recovery. 5.0 was simply a file you installed.

We need a bootloader unlock or a workaround like bump on the G3, I haven't heard of any progress with this yet but I'd love to be proven wrong.
I think the main theme here is be patient. We could not have ANYONE working on anything for this phone. Root is awesome. Hopefully bootloader unlock is released soon.
I think the same patients. We just got root im sure they have been working toward a work around since the phone has been released. So eventually if its possible someone will find an exploit i just hope eventually they find something that works for all current versions.

[ROOT][INFO][MARSHMALLOW] How to Root Moto X Force 6.0 [TESTED]

Hello guys,
Here I'm sharing a little info about rooting Moto X Force (marshmallow) for those who don't know. Do not flash BETA-SuperSU-v2.64-20151220185127.zip it's giving lots of force closes. Note: I'm using EU version firmware.
This method is only for Moto X Force and not for Droid Turbo 2
Steps:
Install 6.0 OTA or either manually....
Download BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651.zip
Download Moto X Style recovery from here
Go to bootloader and write the following command....
fastboot boot twrp-2.8.7.0-clark.img

Once unlocked, remains unlocked. Even for unofficial unlocks using exploit. At least it was the case for now. Moto used to have hardware fuse, which burns out after bl unlock. Not sure for Force.
