[Q] Soft bricked with s-on relocked bootloader

I bought a Verizon HTC one today that doesn't fully boot up. It has tampered in the bootloader so I assume the person relocked it.
Question is, is there an RUU for a locked S-on ONE? Is there anyway to unlock the bootloader and reflash anything or is this thing truly a brick? From what I've read the S-off procedure requires the phone to boot up.
Thanks
Todd

there is one but you have to be s-off in order to use it! the reason is that it is an unencrypted or encrypted! i think they will have the ruu when 4.3 officially drops
The RUU you seek can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47693710
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk
so this file is a enccrypted signed which works with s-on

Are you S-OFF if you aren't check if firewater it's compatible with your device and you can S OFF I don't suggest you do this if you don't have some experience with things like this..
Can I unlock bootloader and root and stuff using the AIO toolkit, then S-off from there?

Yes you can but no guarantee that you can get s-off
So is it correct to say that if I S-off before doing any modding with the phone, s-off is guranteed? And will HTC check for S-off during warranty check?

Unlock Vodafone UK

I have rooted my M8 but it is still locked to vodafone (uk). What I want to do is get the phone to update with the latest android 4.4.3. (UK)
I have tried to get S-off using Firewater but did not work for me (like I see for a few others). In order to remove branding and have an unlocked (stock) HTC do I need to pay for S-off via sunshine or am I going about this incorrectly?
thanks for any help

Hi guys I need help on S-OFFing my M8
I have unlocked my bootloader and rooted the phone and am now on ViperOneM8 and I need to try the Harman Kardon Mod but S-On method is not working for me so I need to S-OFF
I tried firewater method and it says
" The first bottle is open
chugging..........
remember the golden rule, NEVER take an OTA? Of course you don't
****** device patched by HTC, you are out of luck ******** "

It would take a consider amount of courage, or something else, to use a pirated security exploit.

[Q] Got phone back from HTC Warranty LOCKED and S-On

I am a bit confused on what I need to do as things have changed since I first S-off using rumrunner and weaksauce.

Thanks

With hBoot 1.57, Sunshine is your only option. Works easy.

So we can't even root the M7 on hBoot 1.57 unless we use sunshine first?
I assume we can't flash and older version as well.
Thanks

Yes to both: it can be rooted and rommed just after you finish Sunshine.
And you're correct about you can't go back.
Once you've got S-0ff, you can go backwards and forwards with radios and hboots.
