After unlocking boot loader, my HTC One (m8) is not able to get a signal. I flashed the GPE rom from graphixnyc, and then the Viper rom. Neither get any signal. I have confirmed the APN settings are correct. I'm at a lost here. Also, I tried the S-off, but my device is incompatible. BTW, have the US T-Mobile variant.
Flash a stock t-mobile rom or your stock backup if you have it and see if you still have issues.

I have a htc one m7 on a relatively small Verizon LRA carrier. They do not update software the same time as Verizon as I am still stuck on Android 4.2.2 and sense 5. I have unlocked my Bootloader but afraid to flash custom recovery and root because I will lose ota updates. If I was to flash a custom recovery would custom roms meant for Verizon work on my phone? If so, would certain features not function properly? Someone told me they had success in the past on LRA networks with custom roms but had trouble with mms. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this, any input is greatly appreciated.
I've already tried to use Fastboot to just boot the custom recovery to install supersu but HTC has disabled this from happening on my phone.

This is tricky. I think you'd have to create an image of your current setup (Rom, hboot, firmware, recovery, etc.) Because there aren't any ruu's specifically for your type...just vzw. This is if you were to flash a vzw Rom and it didn't work you'd have something to go back to.
Somebody with more ruu experience might want to chime in.
Before I begin and before anyone tells me I should read other threads, Id like to say that i HAVE already done that, and happened to find no proper solution.
So to the point: I had my HTC One M8 and flashed the GPE edition RUU but didn't like it, so i followed the thread linked on how to return to sense. that had my phone continuously crashing etc etc with all sorts of problems.
I then found another thread with a guide to flash a stock rom, then unroot, then flash firmware etc etc. I have successfully done that, but OTA updates have verification problems, it says that my phone is running something custom. When I boot into the bootloader, the OS section is also blank.
I have yet to find a full RUU for the International m8 as of posting, but there are ones out for at&t , t-mobile and sprint
So, my main question for all you experts out there: Is it possible to flash an at&t or tmobile ruu without having any problems, since international, at&t and tmobile are all the gsm versions? If not, is there any other possible way to return to stock, with bootloader locked, ota updates working?
My current phone status:
S-OFF, unlocked bootloader, (HTC__001 cid), european mid, stock recovery.
Any answers greatly appreciated.

another thing is my m8 doesnt connect to 4g network, but in the box it says that is 2600mhz compatible, if i change the radio will it work?
also i want to try viper and insertcoin roms but later i want to go back to stock but with another cid to receive faster updates.

Method to get fastest updates would probably be to s-off and fully convert to GPE.
When you say 4G, you mean HSPA or LTE?
Being able to get OTA is pretty different from being able to flash custom ROMs. Namely, you need custom recovery to flash custom ROMs. And you need to have a stock ROM and stock recovery to install OTAs. So flip-flopping back and forth is not that straightforward. I'd suggest picking one and sticking with it.

i mean LTE. right now i just reverted to stock rom and stock kernel. my device is not possible to have s-off wven with sunshine.
i wanted to s-off, change my CID to another one like dev edition or international unlocked, change rom to unlocked edition and then flash stock recovery from unlocked to being able to receive OTA faster.
is like change my htc m8 variant from cid_332 to cid_001

Sunshine only works on the stock ROM, if I'm not mistaken. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure.

The GPE models won't be getting Lollipop for a couple of weeks, maybe a month or more.
It hasn't been pushed to the Nexus devices yet, either. Probably a a few days to a week or so for that.
Hey Guys,
I haven't posted in a long time but I have been unable to figure this out despite doing many searches etc. My M8 is from AT&T but has a T-Mobile SIM. My goal is to have Viper ROM with working Wifi & MMS because those have been the main problems.
- I have an AT&T M8 that could NOT send MMS but had working Wifi. I tried 20 dif APN settings and I'm convinced it will not work. The phone has/is...
Rooted
Bootloader unlocked
TWRP
S-ON
Android 4.4.2
I flashed Viper ROM and MMS started working but I lost Wifi. I flashed back to Stock AT&T ROM. I (now) know I need to be running 4.4.3 to have working Wifi with Viper. I 'THINK' I need to do the following...
a) gain S-OFF (Sunshine)
b) run T-mobile RUU to Stock then get Tmobile OTA update to 4.4.3
c) flash Viper Rom
Is this correct? If not, what would I be doing wrong?

No, it's not correct. But I can help you.
To use the newest ViperOneM8, you will want to be on 5.0.1 firmware at least. That way you will definitely not have wifi issues. Some users have been using AT&T's 4.4.4 firmware, but I recommend you do this:
Get S-Off. It makes things so much easier.
WWE/International firmware is compatible with AT&T, so after gaining S-Off, change to superCID, then run the WWE 4.16.401.10 RUU.
After that you can flash the latest ViperOne without any problems.
So, after getting S-Off, hook up your phone to you PC and get into ADB/fastboot
fastboot devices to make sure you are connected (a bunch of letters and numbers/ your serial # should come up)
fastboot oem rebootRUU
When you get a black screen with HTC's logo, you are in RUU mode
fastboot oem writecid 11111111 (eight ones)
fastboot reboot-bootloader You are now superCID.
Leave your phone connected, and download the WWE RUU from here.
After the download is finished, double click on it, and follow the prompts.
This will bring you up to the latest firmware, and you can go ahead and flash the latest ViperRomM8.
Don't forget to backup anything important to you, because running the RUU will wipe your phone.
I ran into a few bumps (lost root etc) but I was able to figure it out. ViperOne is installed and MMS and WiFi are both working! :victory:
Thanks for your help!!
One last question. Its not a must but I would like to get root access back. I lost it while running the RUU. Now my Rom Toolbox Lite doesn't work.
Whats the easiest/quickest method to get root back?

Flash TWRP via fastboot, and use it to flash SuperSU to regain root access on your device.

Done! Thanks guys!!
I have an AT&T M8 that I have been using on Rogers network. It was SIM unlocked by flashing a config.dat file a while, it has S-off and I was running the vanilla HTC ROM on it because I liked HTC sense.
I decided to update to Marshmallow and flashed the SkyDragon ROM on it. It worked beautifully and my Rogers SIM card works fine. However, trying to use an AT&T SIM card (while in Canada as I want to activate it as I've done with other GoPhone SIMs), I'm not able to get any signal. I am somtimes able to search for a network (sometimes the option is greyed out) but when I clicked on Rogers, it just says "Operation Not Allowed".
It looks like the config.dat method has been patched
H-BOOT version is 3.19
Did I lose my SIM unlock?
How can I get it back - downgrade? Going to GPE ROM? Am I screwed?
Why does my phone work with Rogers and not AT&T as it was originally an AT&T phone?

Did you just flash the Skydragon ROM to "update" of did you flash firmware.zip or RUU also?
Did you try to just go back to the previous ROM?
I just flashed the Skydragon ROM, I didn't mess around with a RUU or anything.
Do you think going back will resolve the issue? Can HBOOT even be downgraded?

Flashing a ROM doesn't touch hboot.
I'm not familiar with the SIM unlock hack you described. But if the only thing that has changed is the ROM, then yes, going back (especially if you made a TWRP nandroid backup you can restore, before flashing Skydragon) should restore it.
