Is there a way to root P605 LTE MJ9 (build and bootloader MJ9) 4.3 without tripping Knox flag?
Thanks
I have the same question

Thanks for your reply, I dont want to trip the Knox as the warranty is until 31 October 2015.
If it did trip it, will I able to factory restore and clean, would that make the counter back?
Edited post above.
Afiak you can't reset the knox counter yet. Dr Ketan guides are pretty good, there is a guide somewhere about removing knox that's probably worth reading.

It won't trip KNOX as long as you flash official 4.3 with KNOX .
I have a T-mobile Galaxy S4 and it's currently running danvdh's GPE edition. I am considering updating via the OTA to get the new baseband/radio. I currently have the mixed MK2/MDL radio/baseband. I know that I'll get knox if I update...but IIRC, the Knox apps are able to be removed, and flashing new ROMs will trip Knox, but aside from voiding the warranty, what else does this do? Nothing? Lol

This is a full and complete answer, by the way. That is all it will do aside from the warrent.y It does not affect your daily use at all.
Just to confirm though. If I go back to complete stock and do this update and then apply any kind of root it will hit the Knox flag right?
Right now mine is still 0x0
Pretty sure it's flashing a custom recovery that trips Knox, not rooting.

I would like to point out that as of right now I have not seen a method to root 4.4 without tripping knox counter. 4.3 yes Saferoot works but not for 4.4
Want to know if the bootloader on my S4 is locked or unlocked. I have android 4.3 MK2 build. Read somewhere the tmobile s4 bootloader is unlocked, is this right or that was for previous builds without knox . Thanks
It's unlocked.

Yes, that is what the Knox flag is meant to do. If you flash anything into the Recovery partition, the flag will be tripped.

Been trying to figure out but mixed messages.
I know if I upgrade my at&t n3 phone to kk, I am screwed. So I rooted and froze the at&t upgrade till they fix things. Kk downloaded to my 2014 tablet but I keep saying no to the upgrade.
If I let it upgrade will it lock the bootloader or prevent later rooting?
Thanks.

I rooted my SM-P600 after upgrading to KK through kies, I used the custom recovery flash method without any problems.

I update mine to kitkat, followed the above, and gained root. It worked even though I was updated to UBUCND2 (the us edition, not UBUCND1 mentioned in the article).

yeah, I already tripped knox when I rooted in jellybean, so I didn't mind ... but if keeping Knox untainted is important to you, I guess there must be other ways ...

So if I don't upgrade, I can root and get kk without tripping Knox?

If you root, you will trip Knox no matter how it's done. No getting around it.
[ How do you plan on getting KK without upgrading? ]
Now I'm confused.
Wait... Is you N10 LTE or WIfi Only? If you accept the OTA on the N10, YOU WILL NOT TRIP KNOX. If you ROOT YOU WILL TRIP KNOX.
You can have the upgrade to KK without rooting. Just Keis or OTA.
I was meaning rooting then a 3rd party ROM or upgrading Ota, root.

no matter what version you are running. If you root the wifi version, you will trip the knox status no matter what:crying:
