Then started problems. My phone try to reboot it self but it always stop in flashing Samsung logo.
Then I tryed this guide (1b) but Odin3 stop always in "Get PIT for mapping.."

<ID:0/003> File analysis..
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/003> Initialzation..
<ID:0/003> Set PIT file..
<ID:0/003> DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!
<ID:0/003> Get PIT for mapping..

"ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-N7100
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (4 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom

if you can go into recovery?do it
clear cache and then go into advanced and wipe dalvik cache

if that fails,go back into recovery and do a wipe factory/reset

I don't have that. I tryed instal that to my phone but now Odin doesn't even regonize it anymore.

which odin are you using to? you can find the latest philz here:http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/n7100

I am lost with that thread. Should I download something or read some adviced? Have to I download some rom?
When I tryed to root my phone, I try to use this guide (sry, that was missing in first post) and I don'n make any backups.
I think I know how to flash (in that thread have good help for that) but Im not sure what to download.

here is a stock rom"n7100xxuemk9"(NEE) 4.3:http://rapidgator.net/file/75b6f9c75caa96166fc0ca6582cf489b

Reinstall Complete Stock firmware using Odin & then root
Hi..
Looks like you have got boot loop for while trying to root your phone.
Don't worry.. now you need to reinstall the stock firmware on your device.
just follow the following steps:
1- Boot in recovery by pressing volume up, home button & power button simultaneously
2- go to mounts & storage & then..format system first, then format data & finally format cache
3- Now go back to the main menu of your recovery & do format data/factory reset then format cache & then go to advanced & wipe dalvik cache
4- Download your devices stock firmware from here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/ ..select your device model & country & download the file...latest firmwares are on top.
5- extract the .zip file you just downloaded & you will get a file with extension .tar.md5
6- Now Boot your device into download mode by pressing Volume down button, home button & power button simultaneously.
7- Launch Odin(v 3.07) now..u can download the attached file. (If the device is detected it will show the COM:# in the ID Com field.)
8- Select the PDA tab & browse & select the firmware file you just extracted.
9- Odin will take a while & finally it will display the message something like checking md5 finished successfully
10- click on the start button & sit back & relax...this may take upto 8 minutes..
11- Unplug the phone after flashing is complete & let the phone boot..
12- Now you will have stock recovery, if you want you will need to flash a custom recovery again.
13- Boot in download mode again & select the PDA tab & browse for the chainfire auto root file (download it from here http://download.chainfire.eu/264/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.zip )
14- extract the file & select this file from the PDA tab in ODIN & click the Start button.
15- let the flashing complete & the phone will display the recovery mode screen again & it will root the device.
16- However after booting the device you might not be able to open the superuser app.
17- To fix this go to play store & update your SuperSu app & then launch it & then it will ask you to disable Knox & select Yes.
18- Congratulations...your device is now rooted.
Hit thanks if i helped you..Let me know if you face any issues... :good:

try out the steps i have mentioned above in my post..i have also attached the Odin v3.07 & clockwork recovery ver 6 files..
for clcockwork recovery you need to extract the .zip file & you will get a .tar file which you can flash using the PDA tab in odin
this wont take more than 15 minutes & as you will wipe everything you will lose all your apps & contacts..but the data on your internal sd card should remain untouched..

Hello @JukkaP,if you take mk9 you have to decompress it to have 4 files after:
open odin and put
bootloader in the 1st case,2sd ap,3t phone,4th csc
phone in download mod
connect it to the pc
you will have "added"
clic on "start" and wait
phone will reboot after flash

No question is stupid

[SHV-E250s] Bricked my phone

Hi guys,
Got my Korean LTE (SHV-E250s) yesterday and thought I'd root it so I can install a new English OS on it (Cleanrom Ace 4.5).
I followed Chainfire's thread on how to root my phone (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933542).
So, first I downloaded Odin3 v1.85 and CF-Auto-Root-t0lteskt-t0lteskt-shve250s.zip.
Extracted both and managed to install CF Auto Root with SuperSU v1.05.
Sweet, everything was going well.
Then I found Cleanrom Ace 4.5 and its thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055170).
So I installed Goomio from the play store and downloaded the current version of "twrp".
Now, here is where I stuffed up bad because I didn't make a backup.
I copied the zip file of Cleanrom Ace 4.5 onto my micro SD as well as the internal storage.
I booted the phone into twrp and went to factory wipe and reset. I got a little bit worried here because this is where things go wrong.
I went ahead and did it, rebooted to twrp again and installed Cleanrom Ace 4.5.
I got to the options and it was looking hopeful. Chose stock or custom animations to boot up, apps to install, etc.
Then it went to installation screen showing the progress and it stayed on 0.0% when it was trying to install the boot up animations.
After about 2 minutes or so it would reboot. I would try and install the ROM again but each time I got the same thing.
I tried rebooting normally but then twrp told me that I didn't have an OS to boot to. Uh oh.
After doing another wipe and reset, I could access the download mode (vol down+home+power) and the other mode, which I'm not sure if it's recovery mode? (vol up+home+power).
I tried using Odin3 v1.08, v.3.04 and 3.07 to load up some stock ROMs (N7105ZHDMB1_N7105ZZHDMB1_N7105XXDLL5_HOME.tar.md5, N7105XXDMB2_N7105TMHDLK8_N7105XXDLL5_HOME.tar.md5, and N7105XXDMB2_N7105VNZDMA2_N7105XXDMA1_HOME.tar.md5).
I tried using different USB ports and different computers. Each time I would get a red 'FAIL' screen in Odin3.
Below is an example of the message I'd get from Odin3 v3.07:
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> N7105ZHDMB1_N7105ZZHDMB1_N7105XXDLL5_HOME.tar.md5 is valid.

Can anyone help me? My phone gets stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" window and doesn't progress. I hold down the power button and it just reboots to the same window. I can get to download mode and what I think is recovery mode.
Any guidance is very appreciated. I have read around the threads and I know this isn't a hard brick so there may be some way to resolve this.
Cheers

Hi there, thanks for the link. I'm glad your issue was resolved.
However, I don't think I created a backup, so I couldn't just do a backup through recovery.
I can't reinstall any of the stock firmware I've downloaded as it says 'failed' every time in Odin3.
Update: I can't get into recovery mode now.
1. Even I had the same situation wen I ran megawipe script but stock rom installation in download mode gave life to my phone...
So first try installin wit different versions of odins and roms..
2. May be the whole internal memory lost all the partitions into which the files could be flashed.. 'wipe data factory reset' in recovery would have put them back ..but since ur phone recovery too is lost search for a tool which can put them back as I remember readin about such a tool... will search too..

Try instal a costom recovery after you instal costom recovery with Odin (make a full wipe, format system, partition, wipe cache and dalvik) then download a costom rom and put on external SD card if you have if not borrow one or buy one and instal the rom from external Sd card.
I hope you solved.

Would I still need GooManager or Terminal Emulator to install a custom rom like twrp? Because I can't install apps like GooManager or Terminal Emulator as my phone is bricked.
edit: Tried installing TWRP recovery using this hxxp://androidlegend.com/install-twrp-recovery-2-3-1-1-on-galaxy-note-2-n7100/ but Odin3 kept crashing every time I hit "start". I don't know if it's because my phone is an SHV-E250S and not a n7100 or what?
double edit: Update. I can get recovery mode again! Weird.
Options are:
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
So I went ahead and selected "wipe data/factory reset". Rebooted and still the same.
Oh man!
So I've tried the method in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2040264) for Verizon Note 2 and I had a minor progress.

The progress bar underneath where it would say PASS or FAIL actually said something, ie. Boot, which is something that hasn't happened with the stock ROMs I've tried in the first post. Now I just need a stock from for the SHV-E250s that will work!
Upon rebooting, it adds to my flash number, so it is writing, but not completing the install.
Has anyone got any ideas I can try?

Yes, I did just that. Still no luck. Is this possibly because there isn't much support for the SHV-E250s in terms of recovery ROMs and Odin3?
A recovery ROM for N71000 was able to begin writing on my phone, thus increasing flash count, but failed at the beginning in Odin3.
I don't know if it's a ROM problem or a phone problem or an Odin3 problem?
Noob here, btw.

Can't go Stock - Boot Fails after Stock with Odin

Hey,
Im from Germany and own a Note II GSM since i think November 2012.
TL;DR: Bootloop after Stock-Flash with Odin.
/* Background */
Over the last Months I used many CustomRoms, a few days ago i felt it was time for sth new.
So i tried one, i tried two, and three.
I used PAC Rom for a few Days and then

Okay no Problem, reflash another.
Crashs.
Okay, lets go Stock.

Okay, if i chose Factory Reset this is what shows um in the log of TWRP:

:/ Doesn't sound that good to me...
Flash a fully stock rom that includes stock recovery through odin and then do a factory reset.
After that then you can flash a custom rom.

Yes, i did everything like in the Guide linked above. But it seems like the file system is corrupted or sth... because the recovery cant mount anything
it cant mount data and it can't do anything
I'm not 100% sure, but I hope someone else can confirm this... You may need to find the .pit file for your device and repartition it with odin. I never encountered a problem like this before so DO NOT try it unless someone else confirms this as a solution to your problem.
If that doesn't work try using CWM instead of TWRP

I think you need the PIT. I had problem with /data partition when I couldn't mount and wipe it. Factory reset could not be performed, recovery shutting down while trying to do wipe. I solved it with PIT. Find the Rescue ROM by as i9000.
Be careful, it is dangerous operation.

Okay, i downloaded from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32273406&postcount=5
First Link, N7100XXDMB2_FACTORY.
I get N7100XXDMB2_N7100OXADMA5_N7100XXDLK7_FACTORY_XEF.rar.
It has only one tar in it, but the screenshot from the post speaks of 4 tar files (csc, modem and so on).
Where i get them?
Pit file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31801134&postcount=4 is correct i think?
Thank you all! I've not lost hope

Stuck at Boot Screen

Hey guys,
The GT-N7100 of my friend does not boot.It is stuck at the first screen ( Black screen with samsung galaxy note II gt-n7100).
He tried to install a custom rom and installed a Custom Recovery. In Custom Recovery the cache partition couldnt be load. So I cant wipe or format anything. If I want to install a zip, the Recovery just get stuck before even selecting a zip file.
I can access download mode. So I tried to flash another recovery. Odin says successful but the recovery is still the same ????
I also tried to flash a stock rom with Odin... nothing changed
So I dont know what to do next
Please help me!
Thanks in advance

well flash philz recovery via odin
untick "autoreboot" in odin. Once flash is done, keep pressing power button until it reboots (normally will go to recovery)
when in recovery, if you choose option "reboot system now" and you get "yes - disable flash recovery", select that option to avoid stock recovery overwriting cwm
now proceed with wipe and after flashing rom ,fix permission and wipe cache and dalvic cache twice then reboot

I wanted to try this, but this download contains just one file. Even if I extract the tar, there are not the files included which are discribed in the thread...
quite strange....
I simply cant flash anything with Odin. Odin says success, but nothing happened to the phone. I didnt read something about people who are having the same issue
This drives me mad .....

well its not sds for sure so it seems either recovery has gone corrupted as,the pit file u said is not required though u can find it here to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696 post 4 no4 pit file16gb
but i would suggest you to try the recovery thing as mentioned in the link as see as the one i mentioned is used when it does not enter recovery try this version http://d-h.st/vCc
keep the power button pressed it should enter recovery leave the power button when u see samsung logo
I did it long time back so dont remember exactly whether to keep pressing power button or to hold power button worked for me as auto reboot was not working for me so did the other way round as mentioned to you

Im glad to hear that it is not sds.
I tried to flash the recovery of your link:
If I leave the phone connected if I press the power button after flashing just the battery symbol apears after a while.
If I disconnect the phone, it tries to boot normal...no recovery...
If I tap on the power button again and again nothing happens.....
If I try to boot into recovery with the 3 button combo there is still the old clockwork recovery.
I also tried to do a emergency recovery with kies. Kies does download all the files and when it starts to flash it gets stuck at 0 % and sais phone is not connected in the right way but it is...
In Odin mode the phone displays
custom binary downloads : Yes ( 1 counts)
But did flash the recovery at least 3 times ...So why does it still display 1

do u have kies installed when u trying odin if yes then delete it just install the samsung drivers nothing else and disable your antivirus too.
orelse u may try
thats quite strange ok now its time to try the mskip tool just delete all old samsung drivers and kies
and start fresh from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923956
and as far as the count in concerned its 1 as you were only able to enter recovery once thats why after that u were not able to so as many times u enter custom recovery the count increases

Do you think it makes sense todo re-partition with the pit file?
There is also a Bootloader to download on this site...

i would say no until there is an error which shows no pit partition found but after the above steps if it does not then u can give it a fresh start flash the pit first then the firmware . check youtube as how to do it there are vidoes described on how to flash pit and then the firmware.
i would suggest not to do something which you are not sure of and land urself in other issues though flashing pit and firmware is fine but i am not sure about the bootloader maybe u can ask in that specific thread , keten might be the best person to guide you in that case if its safe

i had the same issue yesterday after upgrading to 4.3 official India Firmware..& was not able to rename the knox.apk files to .apk.bak using Root explorer or Es File Explorer. So the simple & fastest solution that i came around was to just update the superuser app using play store. Then i launched superuser & it asked me to download the binaries again, which i did using the normal method & just rebooted the device & everything worked perfectly fine. Now all of my apps requiring root are working fine & are able to get root access using superuser. Also if you want to get rid of Samsung Knox notifications stating "Unauthorized access to a secured area has been blocked" you can use any file explorer with root access, i use Root explorer, Es file Explorer can be downloaded free from play store. Go to /system/app folder using the file explorer & in Root Explorer make sure u select "Mount R/W" on the top. Once there search for knox & all the files that say knox.apk just rename them to knox.apk.bak. U need to do this for all files that have knox in the name & end with the extension .apk. Reboot the phone & enjoy.
Hit Thanks if i helped

Yes definitely... you can upgrade to 4.3 OTA & then you can root the device & can install custom roms as well...& i will suggest to upgrade using ODIN...that is Downloading the Android 4.3 from sammobile.com or here is the link http://www.hotfile.com/dl/255694900/d3cd019/N7100XXUEMK4_N7100ODDEMK1_INU.zip.html (Courtesy Sammobile.com) & then flashing it using ODIN...coz if you try to update using Samsung Kies that can take a long time...arnd 4 0r 5 hours. Just google Odin 3.0 & download it..if you need instructions on flashing the firmware using ODIN just reply back on this comment

Guys I am also in same boat like you stuck on latest 4.3 (INU) MK4 stock. (still not tried) but confirmed from wanam and Tamirda that we can root, flash cwm and custom roms but the question is how!
I am trying to get help from dr.ketan:fingers-crossed:
Yea, I have also same Indian rom updated via KIES, Mine is just rooted earlier and I updated official update 4.3 for GT-N7100 International
I can see SuperSU > some thing wrong cant open as mentioned above> may be because of it was rooted earlier and updated ?
I tried to re-name all KNOS with Es file Explorer, it says failed after renaming !!
I'm not getting SuperSU install or upgrade the existing one in the store. tried to install manually via apk file it installed but I still cant open. SuperSU keeps force closing and I get a notification saying that unauthorized access was blocked.
Any fixes please.

yes you can root your galaxy note 2 with official Android 4.3..As I was able to root my GN2 with Android 4.3 India..first let me know which Su .zip are you using to root the phone...
let me explain again...After upgrading the phone to Android 4.3 i first flashed CWR ver.6 touch using ODIN...then i flashed the Superuser.zip which i downloaded from "Root leaked Android 4.3 thread from xda" , i am not able to find the thread now but i can upload the CWM.tar file that you can use to flash Clockwork mod touch recovery & also the Superuser.zip file that i used..so after flashing the superuser i still didn't got root access on my phone...& i was getting the Knox error & Superuser has stopped working when trying to access it. So a simple solution to that is just go to play store & update your Superuser app & after the update when you will open superuser for the first time it will ask you to download some additional binaries & say yes to that & download using the normal method & not the CWM/TRP method listed there. Then it will ask you to reboot the device & after that your must be rooted. everything worked fine for me from there...& now my phone is fully rooted..confirmed by root checker app from play store & also i the applications requiring root are working fine. i.e. Titanium Backup.
To Disable Knox. i.e. Knox notifications -you can use any file explorer with root access ( i use root explorer) & go to /system/app & then search for knox & then just rename the files that have knox in the name & have .apk extension to knox.apk.bak. e.g. if a file is named as knox.apk then you need to rename it to knox.apk.bak, remember you have to rename only knox.apk files & not knox.odex files.
So if you have already flashed the superuser .zip file then i would suggest you to update your superuser app from play store then open the superuser app & it should ask you to download additional files. Download & install that using the normal method listed there & reboot the device if requested by the app. Thats should be it.
Then you can confirm root access by downloading root checker & titanium backup apps from google play. Also root checker may ask you to install busybox, which again you can download for free from playstore...jst search for busybox & install busybox installer app from there...then once in busybox installer app you can select & install the busybox version you prefer..(i would suggest the latest version).
& Yes you can always revert back to Android 4.1.2 by flashing the 4.1.2 firmware using ODIN...which you can download from sammobile.com
Also did you perform wipe data & wipe cache before flashing the N7100XXUEMK4 Android 4.3 firmware.
Thats it frm my side man...
Hit thanks if i helped & further queries are welcome. :good:

Hi there...
Where did you download the firmware file for Android 4.3 from?
& is this N7100 8GB or 16GB Model
Moving forward
Step 1- put phone in download mode- & press Volume up to confirm
2) Connect phone to PC...make sure you see COM# in ID:COM field
3)Go to recovery & perform Data wipe & wipe cache
4) download ODIN 3.07 from here http://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&rc...EoeWTffM5YAXb2mm1xQGkpQ&bvm=bv.56988011,d.eW0 & just extract it.
5) No need to run ODIN as admin...( I also ran it without admin)
6) Add the exctracted .tar.md5 firmware that you have downloaded to the PDA section...wait as it will take time to check the file.
7) Make sure only Auto reboot & F. Reset time are selected
8) Go ahead & click on start...this can take 5 to 8 mins to flash the firmware
lemm'e know if you still face issues.
Hit thanks if i helped. :good:

S3 I747 Softbrick, "NAND FAIL (AUTH)" on flashing, what do I do?

Currently it can run download mode and recovery mode. After the 2nd splash screen it goes to black. To go into these modes, I must remove the battery to shut it down then restart it.
I have tried many things to fix it:
Recovery > Restore Factory Default failed due to error
Odin > Install custom recovery > Restore failed due to error
Odin > flash firmware failed due to:

Thank you for any help.
I think maybe I am using the wrong firmware, or that 3.07/3.09 odin might not work? I tried an earlier version (1.6~ i think) as well and it did not work. What should I do?
NOTE: I HAVE TRIED FLASHING AND RESETTING TO FACTORY DEFAULT. Last guy who tried to answer did not read my question, assumed from the title. Thanks
The flash is failing because the ROM is trying to downgrade your bootloader.
Don't flash anymore ROMs until you verify your bootloader. Flashing random bootloaders and files could hard brick your phone.

Hello and thank you! Before anything, sorry if I ask a lot of questions because I dont really know much about this stuff. I googled to find the bootloader is what function starts the phone basically, and I assume I changed it when I rooted my phone originally.
Is there a way for me to find out what the current bootloader is? I cant access any data from my phone, so I imagine that I cannot. In that case, should I just try to flash the newest bootloader into it if possible?
Download the latest CM11 and Gapps and save them to your SD card and put the SD card into your phone.
Download the latest Odin-flashable verion of Philz Touch recovery for the d2lte from here: https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/d2lte/
Launch Odin 3.07, connect your phone in dowload mode, uncheck everything except f.reset time. Flash Philz. When you see the word "reset" in the status window, disconnect the USB cable, remove the battery, replace the battery, boot into recovery, flash CM11, flash Gapps, reboot. Download and install the Samsing Phone Info app from the play store and use the app to verify the bootloader and modem currently installed on your phone.

Hello. I actually do not have an SD card, is there a way to do this without one? I will go buy one if needed, of course.
Thanks for all your help!
Flash Philz recovery, boot into recovery, connect the phone, enable mtp, copy CM11 and Gapps to the internal memory.
If you don't get the mount option in Philz, flash TWRP and try to mount using TWRP.

So I tried to use the "Mount by USB" or whatever in Philz (I assume thats what MTP is in Philz) and I cant find my phone on my PC. I think this is the reason that when I select Mount by USB it just blinks and returns to the menu with no change. I am going to try the SD method because I could not find an answer for the USB issue in a few hours of searching.
BTW, when I put CM11 and Gapps onto an SD and run it through Philz, do I leave them as Zip files? Or do I select the boot.img for CM11 and the install-optional.sh for Gapps?
Do not unzip any of the files. Just flash them from recovery.
Did yo try TWRP instead of Philz to mount the phone on your PC?

Hello! Thank you for all the help.
It ended up not letting me flash CM11 or Gapps though SD, so I struggled for a while. I ended up getting CM12 to work from SD, and then Gapps was able to be installed as well.
It all ended well, and MY GOD its SOOOOO MUCH FASTER AND SMOOTHER at EVERYTHING now.
I think it mightve been worth letting my phone die for a week for this. Thank you so much!
Glad you got it all sorted out. We're all here to help each other. Cheers.:good:
