Hey,
Im from Germany and own a Note II GSM since i think November 2012.
TL;DR: Bootloop after Stock-Flash with Odin.
/* Background */
Over the last Months I used many CustomRoms, a few days ago i felt it was time for sth new.
So i tried one, i tried two, and three.
I used PAC Rom for a few Days and then
/*end*/
it got instable. Crashed every few Minutes.
Okay no Problem, reflash another.
Crashs.
Okay, lets go Stock.
Got Stock ROM from here:

Okay, if i chose Factory Reset this is what shows um in the log of TWRP:
Code:
Unable to mount '/data'
Updating partition details...
Unable to mount '/data'
Unable to mount internal storage
:/ Doesn't sound that good to me...
Flash a fully stock rom that includes stock recovery through odin and then do a factory reset.
After that then you can flash a custom rom.

Yes, i did everything like in the Guide linked above. But it seems like the file system is corrupted or sth... because the recovery cant mount anything
it cant mount data and it can't do anything
I'm not 100% sure, but I hope someone else can confirm this... You may need to find the .pit file for your device and repartition it with odin. I never encountered a problem like this before so DO NOT try it unless someone else confirms this as a solution to your problem.
If that doesn't work try using CWM instead of TWRP

Try the following if you can go to the download mode:
Disconnect your phone from the pc.
Open Samsung Kies.
From the top open Tools and choose the second option, Firmware Upgrade and Initialization.
Enter Model Name.(GT-N7100)
Enter Serial number.
Once recognized put your phone in download mode and connect to pc.
Follow instructions.
If everything goes well your phone will be back to factory condition.

I think you need the PIT. I had problem with /data partition when I couldn't mount and wipe it. Factory reset could not be performed, recovery shutting down while trying to do wipe. I solved it with PIT. Find the Rescue ROM by as i9000.
Be careful, it is dangerous operation.

I then tried to unroot the phone using Odin v. 1.85 twith the PIT file that came with it and the Stock_EK02.Tar file. I accidently inserted the Tar file into the BOOTLOADER, PDA AND PHONE boxes. Now my phone is stuck in the Galaxy S II screen, however I can get to Odin recovery mode. Is there anyway to reclaim any usage from my phone. Please Help...

Download the one-click option and follow the steps outlined by sfhub. It will restore your phone to a stock out of the box state.
Reboot
When I do the reboot via battery out volume down with power button, I get a screen that has ODIN MODE in red at top left. Below that in white is PRODOCUT NAME: SPH-0710,CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: NO, CURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL. Below that the green Android robot. Below that Downloading... Do not turn target off!! No other options. The only way to install is from a file from the computer... can I install the hub file from computer and do I do with odin? The Galaxy S II screen and this reboot are the only options I can get too. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Sfhub's program is the easiest thing you've ever done (it's saved my bacon loads of times!). You just put the phone into download mode, plug it into your PC and then run the program you downloaded from the post I originally linked.
Good luck!
I didn't get a link... I see many sfhubs downloads. I have the rooted EL29 No data downloading EL29 Stock Root. However, I have tried the one click EL29 No data root and then phone will only boot to Galaxy screen... I am new to Android OS.. I have only been familiar with Nokia since the beginning of time. Have transformed many of those... But can always go back to factory..Clicked Thanks too.... what file do I need???

That's not a good sign but let's try a couple of other things.
If you have Kies installed remove/uninstall it.
Download the full Samsung driver suite and install it from here:
http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.c...342248/Sprint_d710_USB_Driver_v1_3_2360_0.exe
Try the oneclick odin again. If it still fails, try your usb cable in all the different usb ports or even try a different computer too if possible. If you have access to a different cable that would be nice to try also.

I have tried all of the above methods in this thread. I still get the same failed status with the one click file. I have tried laptops, desktops on multiple usb ports.
still getting the same fail message, posted above.
I disabled the phone with Odin3 v. 1.85.. see above. Is there any single files to flash into the BOOTLOADER, PDA AND PHONE spaces that I originally overwrote? I also ran again with the Re-Partion box clicked. Please Help!!!
When you are in download mode, tell us exactly what text is displayed on the screen there please.

I tried to flash the Tar file I stated earlier but flashed it in the wrong places. What kernal/s would you suggest flashing?
Sorry for the slow responses having issues with my Samsung Transform Ultra now too. That is what I am using for my data service on PC. I did a mandatory samsung update the other day and barnacle doesn't work, can not unroot the phone and down to usb tethered connection that is to slow, but one phone at a time. Ok no problem.
Here is a link to an Odin guide. Not very helpful but it tells you a few necessary things and it's handy to have around if you ever need to know what the buttons are:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1274337
Right above where it says:
DO NOT USE PHONE FOR ANYTHING BUT A RADIO/MODEM - YOU WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE ABLE TO USE YOUR PHONE FOR CALLS, AND YOU MAY POSSIBLY BRICK IT - YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
it tells you what the different keys are.
Anyway, download StockCWM-EL26.TAR from here (you may have to rename it without the MD5 to work with ODIN):
http://chris41g.devphone.org/index.php?dir=EpicTouch/Stock+Repack/EL26/
Open odin, load the tar file in pda, the only 2 things should be checked are reboot and PDA, click on start.
Let me know what happens.
I got this message on the PC Odin screen when I flashed the EL-26.tar:

Ok, Now the phone boots into a different Galaxy screen. Now boots to Samsung Galaxy S ii GT-I9100 screen and when connected to the usb cable on restart the PC explorer shows the 2 internal mmc drives then doesn't if that makes any sense.
Then in Odin Mode on the phone has changed too. ODIN MODE in red top left. Under that in white is: PRODUCT NAME: SPH-0710, under that is CUSTON BINARY DOWNLOAD: YES (2 counts), under that CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM... THEM THE ANDROID robot then Downloading then Do not turn off target!!
Ok cool we're making progress, now do you have any flashable rom zip files on the phone? And calkulin's format all? If so, boot up with pwr/vol up key, flash format all, then rom.

I just want you to know ahead of time , if we can get it running with a ROM, I'm going to ask you to save what you need off of the phone because I'm going to ask you to do a full reset back to stock and format everything. I want to make sure you are good to go especially due to what you did in ODIN initially so maybe this won't happen again. I will give you more instructions on that later though, let's see how this goes. Tnx.
OK when I boot with volume up/power button... I get many options... from top to bottom they are: - reboot system now, - apply update from sdcard, - wipe data/factory reset, - wipe cache partition, - install zip from sdcard, - backu and restore, - mounts and storage, - advanced, - power off...
Below that at the bottom in white I get ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.7 then under:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/commmand
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
That's fine. Do you remember if you have any roms on the phone and are they on internal or external SD?

What's up with the lag again between responses? Are you tethering the pc (no high speed internet?)
Your gonna want to download a rom and copy it over to your phone if u dont have 1.. To do so while in recovery u can goto mounts and storage mount usb.. Then u can copy and paste..after that.. Factory reset twice.. The power button is he back button home button is enter button vol up goes up vol down goes dowb.. Goto advanced options in main recovery menu and wipe dalvik cache...flash a rom and reboot..once rebooted...u need to power down and boot into download mode vol - & power.. Load sfhub el29 stock rooted and let it flash...once done..shut down..flash latest modem fe10. Go into your phone update prl and profile... Shut down..goto download mode flash el26 cwm kernel and once phone shuts off innediatelt vol + & power.. Youll boot into recovery now flash the rom of your choice im assuming first one u did in recovery and flash it.. Flash gapps and kernel if need be...u can get all the newest kernels and modems from sfhubs post abd youll want to dowoad the cwm ones to flash through recovery

Yes I am doing it properly.
Volume Up + Center Button + Power Button = CWM Recovery
When I do that, I get the Samsung logo and in blue writing at the top left it says "Recovery Booting." This appears for only 1 second. Then the screen goes black and nothing happens. I can get into Download mode fine (Volume Down + Center Button + Power Button).

Then I turned off the phone (remove battery, unplug USB). Then put the battery back in. Then Volume Up + Power + Center Button. Same screen with blue writing on top. Then black screen and then nothing...
You need to re-download clockworkmod from a different source I had the same issue and as soon as I used a different file then the original one I used it worked...the file will look the same to windows but there is one floating around on android authority and xda that is corrupt. Try a new source of clockworkmod just download it from a different site then you originally downloaded from. You really don't need to wipe. It doesn't matter as long as you are already stock. Odin will organize it and take care of it as it flashes. You might be using the same corrupt file I tried at first. It reads fine until Odin tries to flash and it takes like ten minutes then fails...use a different one. Then flash again ontop of the failed one without wiping anything. If you wiped then your still fine you just lost all your data that's all. But you don't have to.

Well this is pretty frustrating. Since it seems no one has a solution that works my plan is to do this tomorrow:
1. Go to Radioshack where I bought the phone less than 2 weeks ago and see if I can return it. Maybe the salesperson will be incompetent and not check the binary count?
2. If that doesn't work, then I'll go to a cell phone repair shop and explain the problem to them. If they can fix it, great. If not...
3. I'll have to buy a brand new phone for almost $800.
Obviously option 3 sucks big time.
Maybe try the toolkit?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
yup try the one above, and report back what happened
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Downloaded the toolkit. From there I re-installed the drivers which I already had on my PC. Then I went to the "flash a rom from Odin" option. I get a screen that says "waiting for USB debugging mode to be enabled." I think my phone already has that option selected but I can't see b/c my phone won't boot. Then I can't do anything else in the toolkit because it's waiting for my fully-booted phone to be plugged in. Thanks anyway.
Any other suggestions?
This is just very strange. My phone was working perfectly last night. Before bed, it had 25% battery, I plugged the charger into it, and went to sleep. In the morning, my phone is off and I can't start it up. I'm going on a business trip on Wednesday so I need this thing fixed ASAP. Tomorrow I guess I'll either pay for help or pay for a new phone.
If anybody have this problem again. I hit this same problem and found out it was the Cable was not 100% compitable with the phone.
Hi guys,
Got my Korean LTE (SHV-E250s) yesterday and thought I'd root it so I can install a new English OS on it (Cleanrom Ace 4.5).
I followed Chainfire's thread on how to root my phone (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933542).
So, first I downloaded Odin3 v1.85 and CF-Auto-Root-t0lteskt-t0lteskt-shve250s.zip.
Extracted both and managed to install CF Auto Root with SuperSU v1.05.
Sweet, everything was going well.
Then I found Cleanrom Ace 4.5 and its thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2055170).
So I installed Goomio from the play store and downloaded the current version of "twrp".
Now, here is where I stuffed up bad because I didn't make a backup.
I copied the zip file of Cleanrom Ace 4.5 onto my micro SD as well as the internal storage.
I booted the phone into twrp and went to factory wipe and reset. I got a little bit worried here because this is where things go wrong.
I went ahead and did it, rebooted to twrp again and installed Cleanrom Ace 4.5.
I got to the options and it was looking hopeful. Chose stock or custom animations to boot up, apps to install, etc.
Then it went to installation screen showing the progress and it stayed on 0.0% when it was trying to install the boot up animations.
After about 2 minutes or so it would reboot. I would try and install the ROM again but each time I got the same thing.
I tried rebooting normally but then twrp told me that I didn't have an OS to boot to. Uh oh.
After doing another wipe and reset, I could access the download mode (vol down+home+power) and the other mode, which I'm not sure if it's recovery mode? (vol up+home+power).
I tried using Odin3 v1.08, v.3.04 and 3.07 to load up some stock ROMs (N7105ZHDMB1_N7105ZZHDMB1_N7105XXDLL5_HOME.tar.md5, N7105XXDMB2_N7105TMHDLK8_N7105XXDLL5_HOME.tar.md5, and N7105XXDMB2_N7105VNZDMA2_N7105XXDMA1_HOME.tar.md5).
I tried using different USB ports and different computers. Each time I would get a red 'FAIL' screen in Odin3.
Below is an example of the message I'd get from Odin3 v3.07:
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..

Can anyone help me? My phone gets stuck on the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" window and doesn't progress. I hold down the power button and it just reboots to the same window. I can get to download mode and what I think is recovery mode.
Any guidance is very appreciated. I have read around the threads and I know this isn't a hard brick so there may be some way to resolve this.
Cheers

Hi there, thanks for the link. I'm glad your issue was resolved.
However, I don't think I created a backup, so I couldn't just do a backup through recovery.
I can't reinstall any of the stock firmware I've downloaded as it says 'failed' every time in Odin3.
Update: I can't get into recovery mode now.
1. Even I had the same situation wen I ran megawipe script but stock rom installation in download mode gave life to my phone...
So first try installin wit different versions of odins and roms..
2. May be the whole internal memory lost all the partitions into which the files could be flashed.. 'wipe data factory reset' in recovery would have put them back ..but since ur phone recovery too is lost search for a tool which can put them back as I remember readin about such a tool... will search too..

Try instal a costom recovery after you instal costom recovery with Odin (make a full wipe, format system, partition, wipe cache and dalvik) then download a costom rom and put on external SD card if you have if not borrow one or buy one and instal the rom from external Sd card.
I hope you solved.

Would I still need GooManager or Terminal Emulator to install a custom rom like twrp? Because I can't install apps like GooManager or Terminal Emulator as my phone is bricked.
edit: Tried installing TWRP recovery using this hxxp://androidlegend.com/install-twrp-recovery-2-3-1-1-on-galaxy-note-2-n7100/ but Odin3 kept crashing every time I hit "start". I don't know if it's because my phone is an SHV-E250S and not a n7100 or what?
double edit: Update. I can get recovery mode again! Weird.
Options are:
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
So I went ahead and selected "wipe data/factory reset". Rebooted and still the same.
Oh man!
So I've tried the method in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2040264) for Verizon Note 2 and I had a minor progress.

The progress bar underneath where it would say PASS or FAIL actually said something, ie. Boot, which is something that hasn't happened with the stock ROMs I've tried in the first post. Now I just need a stock from for the SHV-E250s that will work!
Upon rebooting, it adds to my flash number, so it is writing, but not completing the install.
Has anyone got any ideas I can try?

Yes, I did just that. Still no luck. Is this possibly because there isn't much support for the SHV-E250s in terms of recovery ROMs and Odin3?
A recovery ROM for N71000 was able to begin writing on my phone, thus increasing flash count, but failed at the beginning in Odin3.
I don't know if it's a ROM problem or a phone problem or an Odin3 problem?
Noob here, btw.

Go here...... http://www.sxtpdevelopers.com/showthread.php?t=233. Download the one-click rooted no data and try again. If that doesn't work, you can always try using a different cable. Do you have TWRP as the recovery or CWM? If you have TWRP, you can always boot into recovery, connect your phone to the computer via USB, mount the USB drive and then push any ROM to your external SD card and then just flash from there.

I have CWM installed. It's having trouble mounting things, such as

I had just installed CM10.1 on it, and it suddenly started rebooting in a loop and I received these errors when trying to anything with the phone.

In order to flash any of the new 10.1 cm it is required that the bootloader be updated to the latest release MD4. There us a script which checks for it. Can you boot into CWM? If yes then boot into CWM and flash this first. http://db.tt/Qt6NcH0a

Sorry, I got it. I have tried to flash through CWM, but I am having a problem with mounting as I mentioned in previous comments. I can flash CM10.1 in CWM and it says updated successfully, but it's stuck in a bootloop because the /data and /.android_secure are missing. So I am trying to go back to stock with the firmware to start over, but odin is not working as I thought it would.
Flash the update i gave you then flash 10.1 again and try to boot up. Make sure you wipe cache and dalvik and do a factory reset before flashing

Does anyone know where I can get a .PIT file for a Sprint Galaxy S3? I have tried just about everything, and the failure keeps happening when it tries to write an .img to the phone in odin 3.0.7. It seem to be the full firmware for your p600. I would do a factory reset and try different usb port on your pc (do not use hub). If that still doesn't work give another 4.4 firmware a try to see if firmware related issue. Good luck!

I also noticed that after one try of flashing and I click the reset button in Odin, the process gets stucked at "SetupConnections". Is this a bug in Odin 3.09 or should I download another Odin?

I used the update for "Cellular South" I found some threads that says that is possible.
My note is from Philippines (P600XXUBMJ6)
I enabled USB Debugging Mode
I used the latest Odin. Auto Reboot and F Reset Time checked, others not checked.
I followed every instruction I found but I still failed to update
Help
EDIT: It seems to have problem with the PIT. But I didn't check re-partition.

@ The Dork Knight Rises: Nah...to flash a supported kernel first..makes absolutely no sense in odin mode no kernel is running. The update needs to flash a new bootloader in order to be able to boot 4.4 and that can cause trouble.
When having Samsung kies installed, de-install it and reboot windows
Install these USB drivers(They are issued for the verizon P605, but that says that these are the right generation they are not device specific): http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SM-P605VZKEVZW
And reboot windows. Make sure no antivirus is running whilst flashing.
Boot your tab into stock recovery (power+volume up) and make a data/factory reset there.
Let the tab boot up the old Android 4.3 until it prompts you for input.
Switch it completely off.
Hard boot into Odin mode pressing power+volume down, choose download mode. No other way! No soft boot into it!
Open odin 3.09 as admin
Connect tab and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin and drivers have been installed completely.
Add the firmware file to AP / PDA wait until odin is ready (no spinning circle).
Make sure re-partition is not ticked
Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes
After the FW has been flashed the tab reboots into stock recovery first (probably to update the BL) and then into Android 4.4, let it connected until Android is up and running.
If it is not working try another PC .Alternatively try the one from Spain it is also an XX firmware as your 4.3 and has open CSC (OXA) as well.
Make sure you are following these steps closely and chronologically!

Be aware that this process wipes all your installed apps and personal data. Also make sure that you are using the original USB cable that came with your device and make sure the device is fully charged.
Start with those steps when your tab has been switched off. With hard boot I mean to boot using key combination, no boot using reboot menu. Be sure you are in download mode where the green android / Knox flag is shown before you connect the tab with your PC.
It worked for me exactly this way. Although I have the P605 (no verizon edition). The provided Samsung drivers should be the right for you as well, good luck.
