As the preorder includes a second battery... What about charging the second battery while using the first?
Is there a compatible external battery charging cradle somewhere?
There are many charging cradles for various batteries (you can change the position of the charging connector).
But if you want to use VOOC technology you will have to wait..
But to be honest, I don't see the point of that because you can charge the battery in the phone in little time. Once it's charged just swap the battery and charge the second battery...
Do you happen to know the pin mapping for the battery?
It does have 7 pins after all.
Gesendet von meinem MI 2 mit Tapatalk
No, I don't..
Try contacting Oppo for that information...
I suppose 2 pins will be for the normal charging, while using all 7 is the VOOC (fast battery charging).
So if you use a cradle you will have to wait 4+ hours to get the battery charged...
Given the fact that in those 4 hours the other battery keeps the phone alive I don't really mind that.
Gesendet von meinem MI 2 mit Tapatalk
was wondering if anyone know the exact external dimension of the battery, perhaps it would fit nicely in some charging base for some other phone (like the note 2-3 or what not)

I am about to order it myself.
That was me. And yes, that one fits perfectly and charges my battery to 100 percent in 3 to 4 hours.
Far from vooc speed but good enough to have your spare charged in time for when you need it.
Does anyone know if a wireless charger is available?
Hi All!
I now maybe this is s little of topic...but with my S3 i use a Mega batters of 7000MHA from Lemon, which i can live without...
Also, it seems Lemon is a new one to S5...
Is any battery even bigger, that i can use with my Oppo 7a?
The official site sells a 6000, but thats external, right?
Thank you!
Only 2800 and 3000mah batteries so far. They are both the same size though so you can use the normal battery covers.

If stock is about 1600, then 1900 is about a 20% bump. I would expect a 20% weight increase too. But most of the eBay junk does not live up to the promise.
For the record the OEM battery is 1500mAh. I recently got a China made 1800mAh eBay battery. So far the best run was 28 hours compared to near 36 hours with the OEM battery.
**Update**
I just did a third charge to dead running and got 46 hours on it. More details below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10397925&postcount=64
If this battery came from the same supplier I would recommend it since I'm having good luck so far. Yet, something to keep in mind that there is good stuff that comes from China, the problem is that quality is not always 100% consistent. Kind of like our phones with the GPS problem.

I got the 1800, and it does NOT perform as well as the stock battery.
I saw another post in XDA somewhere where someone did a test, and said it is really about 1275.
i suspect if they fit same as original, they will not be higher rated.

I don't know much about these chargers.
How is your lock screen as such. What app were you using ???
Hi ive orderd one similar to this ( 1900 mah ) and ill get in in a couple weeks, as im in the netherlands as well .
So cant really tell you anything about the performance at this moment, but at the same time it's not such a big expense.
I preferred this over the spare battery as I dont have to take my phone apart, plus it does not have to reboot.
I bought it just to use in emergencys, right now my battery is taking me through the day as i removed al bloatware and email/tweetdeck gets synchronised once an hour.
Received it today already!
As i said its the 1900 type ( it's chinese so i guess its like 1400 or so). Brouht my GS2 from 32 to 79 in 1,5 hour.
Charging the "charger" took about 3 hours to become completely full.
Hope this answers your question.

Thanks, as I'd personally like to see how the battery performs. I have heard of people purchasing larger batteries and have actually received worse results than the stock battery offers, which is rather odd in my opinion. But, from what I have read, Anker produce some quality products so I have high hopes for this battery. I'd ideally like an even larger battery, but then the added weight becomes ridiculous or pricing becomes too much for me to afford.
I've had Anker batteries for other devices and they've been ace, not got round to ordering one for the Note myself yet, but I will do.

I don't trust about other internal battery. I use external battery in other case. While my life battery is 20 hours in 3g.
I have the Mugen 5400 battery and I truly cannot fault it. More than double the capacity of stock and it shows in my daily usage. Build quality also to notch. Yes their prices are steep but you get what you pay for and their customer service is excellent.

I bought 2 for a total of $16 and they work great. I also bought a 3 dollar charger (800mah) that charges them in a about six hours. The ankers charge fine inthe phone an have all the attributes of the oem battery
I've been using Anker batteries for about 3 weeks now and they work great. They last just slightly longer than the stock battery and charge efficiently. I would recommend them to people that are always on the go and can't always get a place to charge their phones. I charge one battery by itself and one in the phone at night, and the next day I am able to swap when the first battery drains. Also there's a peace of mind with having a fully-charged battery always available.

Hi everybody,
I have been searching for this Anker battery on German Amazon, and I have found out that there is a 2800mah Anker battery for this phone. Stock size.
You can see the link here
It's not much more expensive, and if it really was a 2800mah battery than it would be great.
Does anyone know anything about it? Do you think it's just a 2700mah one with a fake sticker on it?
Let me know your thoughts.
I got the 2700mAH battery from Amazon. So far it has been slightly better capacity than the original and no problems. Good value at £7.99.

I am afraid this battery is not worth it, unless your current one has degraded to under 2400mah.
The HSABAT battery I got was rated at 4000-45000mah according to the specs on the page, but when testing I have come to the conclusion it has only 2400-2500mah.
- AccuBattery gave the average of 2.451mah after 25 charges.
- My multimeter told me the battery has approx 2.489mah left.
So yeah, no good luck here.
