hello XDA, yesterday when i was buying something at ebay and i watched a 1900mAH Battery, somebody from here bought one?

I've heard chatter about a 1800 battery....but haven't seen a 1900....care to share a link to it?

Assuming those batteries actually have that capacity then yes its a good deal, but since they're all from china i seriously doubt it.

If stock is about 1600, then 1900 is about a 20% bump. I would expect a 20% weight increase too. But most of the eBay junk does not live up to the promise.

For the record the OEM battery is 1500mAh. I recently got a China made 1800mAh eBay battery. So far the best run was 28 hours compared to near 36 hours with the OEM battery.
**Update**
I just did a third charge to dead running and got 46 hours on it. More details below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10397925&postcount=64
If this battery came from the same supplier I would recommend it since I'm having good luck so far. Yet, something to keep in mind that there is good stuff that comes from China, the problem is that quality is not always 100% consistent. Kind of like our phones with the GPS problem.

looking into getting one...my max oem battery run time was also 36 hours...i just want something for when i know i am gonna use it heavily like wifi hotspotting or video uploading

I got the 1800, and it does NOT perform as well as the stock battery.
I saw another post in XDA somewhere where someone did a test, and said it is really about 1275.
i suspect if they fit same as original, they will not be higher rated.

Anyone know if captivate and i9000 batteries are the same?

How many charge to dead cycles had you done with that battery? I've notice the more I use the 1800 battery the longer it last.

andida 2000mah battery works with evo

i have the ebay andida 2000mah hero battery and i got a google io evo on friday. the model number of the stock hero battery is the same as the stock evo battery (despite the difference in color). also the battery sizes and power ratings are both the same. so i put the andida 2000mah battery in the evo and it works fine.
here is a link for reference:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390187525611
does it fit without needing a replacement back cover?
yeah, the form factor is exactly the same
How much longer does it last compare to the stock battery?
This is awesome! I love my 2000mAh battery, and now I can bring it from my Hero to my Evo!

that is a good question nobody knows for sure, there are many opinions. it seems to last a bit longer, but i wouldn't say it's a huge improvement.
I'll bite! For $9.99, I'm willing to take a chance. Thanks for the link!
Lots of discussion about this battery on other forums. I found a website before (can't find it now though... duh!) that goes into great details on all the batteries made of this size, and this performed the worst of them iirc.
With that said I have it, and I think it performs about at a stock level, and for $10 it's hard to beat.
No better than stock
I have that battery in my TP2 and it does not perform any better than the stock 1500 mAh battery. I don't think I'd place too much stock in a Chinese battery company to calculate and give accurate mAh ratings. Good to know that I can keep my extra battery for the EVO though!
Yes it doesn't seem much better than the stock battery
for 10 bucs i grabbed one also..at least ill have an extra battery now..im sure ill need it,..
It was tested and its actually 1100 mAh. Lower than the stock battery.

+1 Yep.
If you guys are in the market for cheap replacement batteries grab two batteries plus an external charger from ebay for $10-$12. You will get the same life as that "2000 mAh battery" except you get two.... and a charger.

Right...we need to keep in mind that HTC is a German company...oh wait.
I clicked that link and up popped the 2 batts and charger for 9.98 shipped. I couldn't resist...so I have them now too. Thanks OP. I guess this means I am really giving up my iPhone...I have to pay the $70 ETF..but I guess I can keep the phone and try to sell it. I was so frustrated...3 months when I upgraded the software it fried my wifi and I was really hoping iOS4 would fix it..but to no avail...so as far as I'm concerned I guess it's EVO for me for the next 2 years... by the way..I got the limited edition seidio case off of Amazon...and I am lovin' it!

I don't really believe any battery that is the same size and claims to get more juice for that cheap. If it was easily (read: cheaply) done, HTC would have gone with it in the first place to help the all to often (with smartphones) "battery life" issue.
I have a 2300mAh battery for my G1, I know it's bigger because:
A) It has allowed the phone to last incredibly long.
B) It's almost twice as thick.

[Q] Battery for Trophy

Found a website that offers better batteries for trophy( also for other phones). Has anybody had any experience with them?
Anyways the battery I am looking at the moment is this:
mugen-power-batteries[dot]com/htc/htc-7-trophy-t8686-htc-spark/mugen-power-1800mah-extended-battery-for-htc-7-trophy-t8686-htc-spark.html
I've ordered the 1800mah variant. According to the website, it will ship out on february, 18. Will let you know.
Thanks for the link. I ordered it and got the 1800 mAh today.
The phone is currently running of its first full charge, so atleast it works.
Will get back with impressions of battery power later. Perhaps I will try to do some tests.

HTC sells a 1500 mah battery that fits into the same case. I'm thinking of getting that, at least just to have a backup battery.
Do any of these other batteries fit into the same case?
I have a US / VZW trophy.
the 1500mah battery from the Evo doesnt fit right in the trophy. and the 1300mah battery doesnt even turn on the evo? weird
I haven't run in to any battery issues. I get through the entire day with the phone at 40% battery or so with moderate usage. On my Droid before this, I had to recharge in the middle of each day.
The 1750 that fit my incredible fits and works great

Yea, I got the Mugen 1800mah battery. I did find myself close to a or a dead battery after an regular day(hour to 2 calls, some browsing/games during the day) with the OEM battery.
With the same usage with the Mugen, I end up with about 30-40% left by the end of the day. As I won't say it will be perfect by any means, it will last longer than the factory battery in my tests, no question, about 30-40% more.
And YES, it does work in the Verizon version(on the site it said it does not work with the Verizon version), as I got mine from (http://www.mugenbattery.com/) and it works great.
as a point of interest to this thread, not sure if it's been pointed out yet, the Trophy shares the exact same battery (style) as the Droid Incredible. my wife has the Incredible and I can swap batteries between the two w/ no issues. So any battery you find for the incredible will work w/ the Trophy.

best slim extended battery?

So im in the market for a new battery. A higher capacity one but slimline. I do not want a different size battery door. Anybody know of any good ones for a decent price?
Great question. I'm wondering the same thing.
I bought this one. I had to wait a month for it since is came from Hong Kong. I can get ~16 hours running the screen at 80% brightness, texting alot, 3g radio always on, constantly checking email. No complaints other than the time it took to ship.

Personally I have found these batteries no better than the stock htc red. With juice defender I get fair batt life with either...10-16 hours or so. I do find the wall charger useful as the battery never gets fully charged when charging in the phone.
There are no slim batteries that are better than stock, the only thing to increase your battery is to add a few millimeters oh my god, to your phone and get a 3500 you won't be disappointed, and yes like someone already said, use the search button next time this must be my like 6th time answering this question muskeg let alone if someone else did too, which I feel has happened too

How about you start by telling us where you go these batteries? As for NFC, it stands for Near Field Communications. It can be used in a way to pay for items, or bumping phones together to share information, such as pictures, contacts, etc. I am not a fan of it, I always have it turned off in my phone settings.

It does say on the sticker under the battery 2100mah so just wondering if running a 3200mah would be detrimental? or is it one of those things manufacturers do and have very large tolerances just to be on the safe side so as not have flaming s3 videos on youtube.
don't these cheap batteries pose a risk of leaking in the phone or something? Like what if the damage the phone!?

What, where did you hear that? The only thing I have seen people have to worry about with cheap batteries is how much of a charge they hold and how well they actually work. I have seen batteries malfunction due to ****ty car chargers before though but never just a battery fail while in a phone minus ghost stories from trolls on the internet.

mAh has nothing to do with the amount of current or voltage so I don't know what you mean by manufacturers having large tolerances?? And it wouldn't be detrimental, it would add to your battery life. (as long as the mAh claims are accurate)

yeah no need for a new back cover

definitely need to get me one of these.
too good to be true
hey i just made some fast research on the seller of the item
i cant link the url apparently because i jus made the account but go ahead and check the ebay sellers' (utigertech) feedback. They are not good.
in short, this battery is fake and some user feedback states that it does not last even longer than the stock 2100mah samsung oem battery
so dont be fooled. If its too good to be true then its probably too good to be true
cheers boys
Testing of MPJ 3200mah Battery for S3
I have purchased one of the MPJ 3200 mah batteries for the Galaxy S3. I have bench tested the battery over 7 days with multiple charges and discharges.
The results are that the battery is approximately 2000 mah it does not even come close to 3200 mah. The sellor is being misleading on the mah and you are better off buying a standard battery as it has 2100 mah and NFC.
I will try and test a few more batteries in the next couple of weeks..

Largest battery (mAh) that will fit the standard S III case?

I'm looking for an extended life battery and would prefer if it fits in my S III without a custom back cover.
Does anyone know the largest mAh battery that will fit with the standard case?

Has anyone tried the 3200mah extended slim battery by sporting persistance? If so how does it perform?
I been using it for about a week. I think it's the perfect size to get a mid level user through the day. I still have to charge it at the end of the day, but on days that I don't really use my phone I think that it would make it a day and a half(I always charge my phone at night so I'm not sure).
Just to let you know ,I always have GPS on, when outside I usuall have my screen at full brightness, and I am currently using a Live wallpaper.
I'm am running Juice Defender for when the screen is off.
I do more surfing, checking emails, reading news and forum posts, than I do calling and texting. I also play some games from time to time.
I'm happy with the battery's performance so far. I only thing I worry about is the longevity of keeping charge over time. I've never heard of the brand before and it seems to be the only battery of this capacity while keeping the stock dimensions.

Does your NFC still work with the sporting battery?
I don't use NFC anymore, but I did test it, and it does work. The only reason I got the NFC version is because it had a larger mah than the non-NFC model.
Anyone else use the sporting battery with good results?

Oh, that's not much of a higher capacity. Also, it's not available on Amazon UK.
I'll just buy one with its own case
Many thanks!

I meant how long does it last compared to stock?
Sorry for the confusion.

Honestly I doubt a random ebay battery is really 3200 mAh. Especially at stock size. That being said, it seems to be at least stock capacity, has working NFC, and hopefully at least decent quality control (unlike those Samsung "OEM" batteries on Amazon which are seriously hit or miss)

I'm guessing about 3 hours extra, depending on my usage. Not a lot, but enough so that I can make it through the day.

Is almost always a miss, we havn't seen advancements in batteries (lithium ion) in years so naturally size directly affect capacity.
That being said you can't have a larger capacity battery that is the same sized as OEM. And because these are most likely from unnamed brands, it's probably even worse than stock.
