Hi, when i play games that use the accelerometer the accelerometer dont woks well.
I calibrate it on Advanced Ace2 Settings.
But still dont woks well.
I use 2 roms, and the same thing.
You know what i have to do?
sorry for bad english
Try to describe it little more, what is wrong with it? Some new roms have problems with it, sometimes I have to calibrate it, than I have to use default settings, otherwise the screen is rotated to landscape even when it should not.

Hello.
well you could try searching for the accelerometer app on marketplace
I cant say its needed, because e its the first thing i installed, and hance cant tell how it is without.
Has two simple options.
calibrate and reset.
Greetings
All this application does is tell you how out your gsensor is, then you calibrate it and it tells you how well calibrated it is....then you close it and the calibration is completely forgotten, ie...then load up Need for speed and you have to play sitting at 10 degrees...
Hmmm that's exactly what i thought.
So there is no way to calibrate the sonsor stuff on our beloved wp7 phones?
And the thing isnt even calibrated correctly by default?
Whats to say about that?
Apart from need for speed (no calibration integrated in the game?)i haven't found a disadvantage of this.
The Glyder demo for example has calibration integrated in the game, so dose Rocket Riot.
Any other findings, good or bad?

LG Panorama Photo App.. and some others

Hello,
Long story short my ARC's accelerometer's X/Y axes are way off (can't use any apps that require accelerometer). Is here any way to calibrate it?
I think a hard reset may be the only way to restore the accelerometer (assuming it was not perma-damaged when you dropped it). There is a similar thread on the X10 forum

Unfortunately I don't think there is a system menu where u can calibrate it......could be wrong tho.

Thankyou for the link,
Also accelerometer itself is working just axes are off and here isn't any options in system menu/service menu to calibrate it (At least I couldn't find any).

No probs
Have you tried an app called Bubble? (spirit level app). What happens when you try to open this? I know you can calibrate the accelerometer within that app, but not sure if it applies to system settings too. Might be worth a try
I've tried buble level app. After calibration it works perfectly but calibration isn't system wide.
Hey, try downloading the game 'jetcar stunts' from the market, there's an option there to calibrate the accelerometer. Try that and see if it works
Hi guys I have a problem with gio's accelerometer, i found out about this in a game: by entering *#0*# and going to sensor I noticed: while the phone is lying down still on a level surface with no vibrations accelerometer data is changing and it never stops. It is not important in normal use but in some apps and games this is realy a problem.
So any solution?
ok ...removed.!!!
Try to go Settings->Display->Horizontal calibration
Or try to change the ingame titl sensivity
On my phone accelerometer data also chanching but really a little bit.

Demanding much?
You come on a volunteer, community-based forum and complain because you haven't been answered within two days?
What troubleshooting and testing have you done?
Is it on all axis?
Does toggling the different radio have an effect?
There could very well be issues with your Gio alone.
This could also be a problem with a driver for which we don't have a source to look at.

sorry to say that,I had a bad day.
well yes. I tried anything and it is the same.
I wonder if this is because of hardware.
even in htc hero accelerometer works better than this.
Hello,
today i installed Flinnys CM10 build 129 für HTC Desire-Z / Vision and im verry happy with it.
Its runs very smooth and is super resposible, even in multitasking stuff.
But i have one big problem where i cant find any sollution and hope that some of you guys could help me out.
in Camera-App Autorotation of the Display dont works, it still hangs in portrait mode, no matter if i tilt the phone or not...same in Gallery.
and in Messagers like Whatsapp the Display rotates to landscape mode if i flip out the harware Keyboard but dont rotate back to portrait mode if i close the Keyboard.
the only way to get it back to portrait mode is closing whatsapp.
I tried switching auto-rotate on and off, do full wipe, clean caches and installed rom and gapps again, tried different camera and gallery apps but nothing helps.
I downloaded a sensor testing tool and it shows no reaction from the rotation sensors.
also no reaktion in games like coine dozer, where the prices in the price-view had alwas rotate.
My hardware should be ok, cause a few minutes ago on my old rom (CM9) it all worked perfectly.
Also testet to go back to CM9 and there is all working perfectly...switched again to CM10 an no auto rotation
please could any of you guys help me with this problem ?
I would be really happy !^^
PS: Sorry for my not well written english, cause im from germany.
And i hope this is the right forum for my problem...cause im new registered im not able to post it under android development.
many thanks and best regards
hopefull

Try running this camera app. I haven't used the default camera since I installed that.
thank you for the tip and i had instantly tried this camera and gallery app but auto rotation still does not work.
no matter which camera or gallery app i usw, i cant get auto rotation to work.
tried many different other apps and none of them can access or use it.
i installed sensor list from play store an the only sensors that seems responding are the proximity and the light sensors.
no reaction from AK8976 Orientation Sensor, Rotation Vector Sensor 2, BMA150 3-axis Accelerometer or AK8975 3-axis Magnetic field Sensor.
i think it has to be some Kernel or Rom Problem that prevents the Rom or Kernel to access the Sensors.
Read a lot in other Treads around the Web in the last few hours and this problem seems to occure in many Roms but is was on other Devices and the only one i could test was going back to a Rom where everything works and then again flash Jelly Bean.
But i had no luck and theres still the same problem.

This is my first post, please tell me if there is anything wrong with the structure.
I have tried everything, installed every single rom on xda, but i can't make the rotation and motion sensors to work. They used to work, until i flashed the leaked 4.3 stock from samsung... after about a week they stopped working. Out of the blue really, the phone has no dents or bumps.. any solution?

Get GPS STATUS app from play store, open it up and hit the menu button, then click on TOOLS, this will let you calibrate the sensors.
Hope this will solve it, please let me know :victory:

Can you give me an example of how you know that these sensors are not working? What are the scenarios where you see it not working?

Well you can't go on landscape mode.. calibration does nothing. Can't use apps that depend on gyroscope.
The motion features won't work at all, non of them. Quick glance etc.
