Question of look of phone

Hey guys my dad surprised me today by buying a samsung galaxy s3. i have one concern and thats the phone doesnt say tmobile on the back nor samsung galaxy s3 on the back but just Samsung in silver letters behind it. i checked the model and it says in settings SGH-T999. is this still the real tmobile ssg3?
kinda looks like
http://www.tapscape.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/SAMSUNG-GALAXY-S3-4.jpg
Did you get it with a box?
No my dad ought it from a friend its brand new it has the sticker on it and what not, but it came with no box. got the charger and the phone.
Do you have the T-mo bloat?

His friend probably bought the gsm version if its not branded. This version is actually a little different because it has a quad core processor. The american version has a dual core processor but 2 gb of ram. You say the model number says t999 though and if that is the case then it is the tmobile version of the gs3. This model number is that of a tmobile branded phone. Maybe you just got one without branding. It is indeed real
yes i have like tmobile my account and name is and tmoible tv and hotspot
that seems odd well that it doesn't say T-Mobile in the back and then has T999 on the phone

Last check would be to check ram. If you have 1.62 gb available, then it's probably T-mo....maybe just a separately bought back cover.
Or if you have root, check your build.prop
How many sim card slots does it have? Check the version of software. Also check the app store and make sure it's not in Chinese... Lol if not you're all good.

Yeah you're good. But if you do happen to brick your phone by flashing a T-Mobile ROM when it turns out that your phone is a different variant, then it's not my fault.
okay thanks guys. last question and that is when u get a message or notifi from like whats app does ur notification LED blink or stay on?
It blinks. When it's charging or fully charged it stays on.

You even have what I think is the most recent baseband, LG1 rather than LEM!
Powered by the SGSIII....

Difference of Korean and International version??

Hello all,
I know its a busy time for GNex forum but here i am an upcoming new member who cant wait to join with this...
I am buying a new GNex and i think its the Korean version which comes with an extra battery and a back cover...I just want to know whats the difference between this Korean version and International version?
Also, it has any difference in the firmware and updating of it?? Like updates come later and such
Any help would be really appreciated
Sent from my LG-P500 running ICySnap
As far as i know there are only 3 variants, i9250 (maguro) verizon lte (toro) sprint lte (toroplus) so if its a 3g gnex you're safe.
All Google images should be compatible if it's i9250

Sch are carrier locked and if anything you'd know it's sch if it has dual Sim, or some TV app on it. If I were you ask them to send a screenshot of the settings->About Phone and look at the model number.

Korean versions are 100% maguro, so you can just unlock the bootloader and do whatever you do. Its hardware is the same as international version

Model Number doesn't tell you anything but Galaxy Nexus
The Korean gnex, whether its from sk telecom or from kt, has exactly the same hardware as i9250.
The only difference is that It comes with yakjukr instead of yakju.
I am using shw-m420s (sk telecom variant) with yakju factory image flashed to get earlier ota updates, and it works flawlessly as expected.

Real Stupid Question

I'm a little confused on the model numbers, it seems there are multiple models of the h815. I have the h815t. This phone was bought off Newegg, unlocked. Is this the international version? I would like to unlock and root.
Thanks
