My second day with Nokia X. First day I was charging the phone with another charger that came with my bluetooth headset(Sony MW600) and charging and charging speed was okay. But today I tried the charger that came with the box and noticed that the phone was heating up and the charging was also slow.
Has anyone else noticed this issue ?

update your phone through system update to 11.1.1
probably the problem is solved in that update for me.

I am already at level 11.1.1 .. still facing this issue. Probably a faulty charger.

DON't WORRY ,CALLIBRATE your Battery
1.DROP your battery until it completely discharge
2.CHARGE again upto it reaches 100% without BREAK
3.USE CAlllibrate APP ONCE
4.REBOOT ONCE
5.THEN CHECK THE BAttery Status after REBOOT
6.IF it is less than 60% then recharge it again
HEAT ? Ya U should not use your DEVICE while CHARGING bcz ITS a PHONE not A LAPPY ,And Li-on Battery DISCHARGE byitself SO DONT USE WHILE CHARGING ,IT REDUCES THE VOLT of BATTERY
HIT THANK IF IT HELP !!

Last week when I plugged my M8 I noticed that the expecting charging time is 17 hours. Usually it was 1.5-2h. I restarted the phone, changed the charger but it still was 17h to fully charge. When it reached 100% I drained the battery to 0 then plugged again. this time it shows 7h only. Last night when I charged it again the estimated time was 3.5h. In all cases the expecting time was in fact the real time. I have the latest Android, original not modified, unrooted. I did not dropped the phone, there was no software update apart from some HTC through GP gallery , camera and something else. I have couple battery tools : gsam, nbd and battery monitor.
Does anyone have any idea what caused the change in charging time? Is there any tool to check this?
Thanks
Did you try a different cable also? The cable also affects the charging time.
Yes, I used 2 different chargers with different cables. These are the same I used all the time before.
After I discharged and charged the phone 4 times the charging time today was 1.5h - the usual time. Not sure what cased this but the problem is now solved
Unfortunately the problem does not disappeared. Any suggestions?

do a soft reset that is press and hold volume up plus power button for 1 minute .. it will restart many times... just do it.... also use a branded 2A charger ....
This did not helped. I'm using original HTC charger but it is only 1A. I was using this one all the the time and the charging time was ~1.5h. Not sure why now it takes that long. There was couple HTC updated through GP and some other apps. Not sure if app can affect the charging time.
Hi guys. I'm using this mate 20 more than a month now, and it's great. I haven't got any problems, but every time when supercharging it, the phone heats up itself. I don't know really if it's some kind of problem or normal reaction. Charging with the charger in the box. The phone is not in use when charged. Any advice is helpful. Thanks in advance

When u charging leave phone be .. don't do anything with it .. heavy !
If it supports Quick charging or SuperCharge, your phone may heat up during charging, due to the increased voltage. In order to reduce heat when charging, do the following:
•Avoid using your phone when charging. Using your phone at this time may increase its temperature.
•Charge your phone in a place where heat can easily dissipate (such as on a desk). Avoid charging in places where heat does not easily dissipate (such as on a bed).
•Power off your phone before charging it. Back up your data regularly and update your phone to the latest version available.
•Use a Huawei standard charger to charge your phone.
yes it heats up considerably when supercharging 1st 50%
also when playing pubg with performance mode on even off
so dont do both

Where are you measuring this? Super fast only works when the phone is locked. If its unlocked you'll get about 6w.

In the app that's call Ampere, it show's even max curr 1200mA, might be because of the firmware need to check it out tomorrow.

No, its because your phone is unlocked. Leave it locked and it'll charge much quicker. That app shows the same on mine - ignore it, it's wrong. I've verified mine with a plug in power meter

Yeah but the thing is , from 70-100% it took 2 hours?
That seems a while but the last 20-30% does take the longest to charge. It should charge at a quicker rate from 20-70%. I'd give it a few days for the battery to settle down and calibrate.

So monitored for a bit just to see what's happening,
in 22mins > 9% with super fast charging on
in 18mins > 9 > with super fast charging off
i am going back to the shop and gt another device
Right, ive just checked mine. 17-84% in 57 minutes. if yours isnt doing that then either something is keeping the phone from sleeping or you have a hardware issue.
Are you sure that you have stable electricity, have you checked? My phone need 1h and 50-55 minutes from 0% to 100%.
Did calibrate the battery after flashing new firmware?
Are you 100% sure that the firmware you flashed is from the exact same version of the phone you have?
And since you flashed the device, you dont really have warranty, so good lucky with lying in the shop.

Flashing doesn't invalidate any warranty, not if your flashing an official firmware
The best way to get fast charging and feel it is to charge while your phone is turned off , that way i feel the speed of fast charging , if you do not want to turn phone off, at least close the screen to get faster results, this is my experience with charging a70 till now
One fine morning my Note 10.1 2014 battery started showing as 0% and will not 'charge' (i.e., percentage will not rise). As a result, the tablet has to stay plugged-in always to use it (just like a desktop computer). The moment it is unplugged, it shuts down in 1 or 2 seconds. Tried different chargers/cables/flex cables/new battery/uninstalling/reinstalling/warming...& what not. But nothing solves the issue. I came to know that the battery is actually holding/taking in charge which is evident from the fact that the tablet runs without being plugged-in in the recovery/TWRP mode! It seems just that the android OS is not recognizing the charging. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Is the battery really good? The boot menu uses a lot less current than normal boot up operation.
Otherwise you're looking at a possible mobo failure. If it has a charger pcb it could be that.
A Samsung Experience center at a Best Buy might be able to sort it out for you.

It is not the battery, I am pretty sure! As for the other possible causes suggested, it seems Samsung considers the product too 'old' now to look into/offer any service/parts replacement. Anyway, thanks for the quick reply!
I got the same experience. Recently installed LOS14.1 on my Samsung 2 7.0 and battery just drained and inspite charging it overnight never recovered. I think it's really the LOS 14.1. Now I cant even boot it up anymore.

Please do post, if you find a solution!
I strongly doubt that LOS14.1 (lineage-14.1-20210320-UNOFFICIAL-lt03lte) is the culprit as my old P605 still works with the unchanged battery.
Once charged it lasts for quite some days (usage 0.5h/day) without problems.
It's always in flight mode and mostly WLAN is shut off.
It's not that cuz of an OS it's the old battery problem....
Same thing happens to one of my cellhphones.
I charrge it to 100 % while it's turned OFF then tomorrow I turned it on and battery is at 1 %, 0 % and shuts off.
It's just old Li-Ion battery which needs replacement.
After having replaced the battery with a new one with about 50% charge the discharged P605 would only recharge to the level of the original charge. It returned to normal behaviour after charging once with the original 5v/2A charger and the original cable with the second GND contact missing. If the latter did the trick, with most cables u can't tell whether the contact is wired to GND or not.
But in the days of miniUSB, the second GND was sometimes used to put the device in charge or pc connection mode, by swapping cables.
Hello
I have noticed my A52s 5G if left overnight wont start quick charging when i plug in the stock charger. Only if i start browsing the internet, restart phone or do something else to consume power will it begin quick charging. I have tried changing charger and cable, changing power outlet, turning off battery saving mode, factory reset, clearing cache and data in the USBSettings system app but i cant find a solution. I have only two more things to try: change battery and charging port. The problem started with android 12 and i upgraded to 13 but it didnt fix the problem. I have been using the phone for 8 months and this issue started about a week ago.

If you leave it on charge overnight, it won’t fast charge. It will charge slowly because there is plenty of time available to fully charge the phone.
Have you tried charging it in the morning? Does it fast charge?
Thats my problem. It will not fast charge in the morning after being unused for several hours.

It still dont work.
I had the same issue.
If your device is still under warranty, go to your dealer and request changing USB port.
Change cable
Test another cable
There is a high probability of the cable. Please be sure to use a valid and reliable cable for testing to determine your problem !
I found out if i open a battery measurer app like 'Ampere' and then connect charger it would quick charge immediately.
This morning i tried quick charging without opening the app and it worked as it should!
Seems like the app fixed my quick charge issue somehow.
