-When a Tmobile base comes out, dont flash this.
-I will have to update the proper RILs for it
My Results:
-My Data has increased by about 4Mbps, which is a + in my case
-Dont ask me for screenshots
-Tested after removing my build.prop and init.d data tweaks for true results.
-Speeds will vary depending on your location.

it does? i thought they both had the same HSPA+ 42mbps radios in them. reviews haven't shown any differences between the two either, in fact the first one i pulled up showed faster GS2 speeds than Blaze. I will try and see for myself I guess.

How long should this take to install? My phone has been stuck on a black screen that says Samsung for about 10 minutes? I am running the Skyrocket ICS port would that have anything to do with it?
M&S...
Say I'm running your ROM, do I need to remove what you removed from your device before flashing to get optimal performance?
I'm not dangerous... RACISM is.
I rooted my tmobile S3 today and it worked fine. Later I installed a cyanogen nightly sang noticed it was only getting 3g, so I did a restore to the stock rooted firmware through ROM manger. With that I got just bars, no indication of 4g or 3g. The phone wouldnt go to the internet, it said no connection available. I had to restore back to cyangen to get the phone just to work... but regardless of which settings I chose the phone is stuck in 3g. What is the fix? I'm going crazy here

3G on cm is the same as 4G on tmo stock rom.
Try checking your apn settings on the stock rom since I think your imei is fine, without it you wouldn't have gotten 3G at all, even on cm.

Wait, are you just looking at the icon without it doing anything. Many aftermarket ROMs will show 3G when the phone is doing nothing. It will show 4G or H when you make it work.

Yep Sprint roms work the same, Verizon don't work yet because they have a sim verifier I haven't located yet. Forgot to mention, some AT&T and sprint roms do have carrier specific apns-conf.xml's but can be replaced with one from ours with ES file explorer. So that means no data, but most work out of the box. Be careful.

No to the radio question, you use the one you have installed. Factory reset, then wipe cache partition, then in advanced, wipe davlik cache. That's it, next flash rom.
As for a list,
I love Aristodemos, using a modified version daily.
Kyan rom is nice.
Ariel,
Triune,
blazer,
and Miui all work well from AT&T.
I searched around for the differences between the I747 and I747M, and apparently it is the location... That brings up my question.
I got an I747M, but live in the US and am with AT&T. Should I be worried about anything?
Thanks!
EDIT: I have found that it is because I flashed KyanROM, which changed it from I747 to I747M. Is there any way to revert this change? I did try to change it in the build.prop, like a bunch of places said, but when I did, the phone would get to the Samsung screen the crash. I did a nandroid restore and everything was fine, except it is still showing I747M.

Flash only modems that are for your carrier.
The reason I asked that is because Kyan ROM is based on the 747m firmware. It still works with the 747, but the build.prop shows it as a 747m.

Exactly. Look at the title in the Kyan forum... notice the M after the 747?.. so.. youve entered the world of ROMs?.. time to study!! Read read and read again my friend or youll get flamed like crazy around these parts. The answer to this question and probably all your questions are available in Kyans forum.. theres a thing called the OP that has all the info you need about the ROM you flash.. make sure you read it in its entirety atleast twice before flashing , sop. The OP is the very first post.. also, how to get around your issue and get the AT&T bloat back is also found in that forum.. theres a search function that will reveal all your questions and dreams.. its like magic except its just the search function.

Thanks guys, I feel a little bit better about it now.
I am only worried about the model number, because I can't download any of the AT&T stuff from the market because it is restricted from I747M's (as they are Canadian, and AT&T has no use on those devices). Is there any way to change it back to I747 and get rid of the M? @daddymatt, I have spent a good 30 minutes searching, and can't find any way to revert it.

I've tried so many things, I just don't know anymore. I have tried just about everything I have found online too. I am even doing a cache clear before and after changing it.

I will give ya thanks when I can too, I hit my daily max :/
Try changing device id to I9300 instead of I747. It's the international version and will serve the same purpose. Don't know for sure if this'll work, but i think I've seen it somewhere else.

How many lines in the build.prop did you change? I had to change 4 in order to get Bell mobile tv working while running an AT&T rom. Try this, change
- ro.product.name=d2att
- ro.product.device=d2att
- ro.product.model=SGH-I747
- ro.build.product=d2att
This should make your phone think it's an AT&T phone again, remember keep a nandroid handy just in case...

*facepalm* Seriously people read before you dole out your half witted 2cents
All of my experience is flashing on CDMA, but to my understanding flashing a GN2 on CDMA is exactly the same as GSM. Make sure you only flash the sprint variant ROMS, but other than that you don't have to take any precautions.
BUT you dont get to have data while talking on the phone anymore. Unless there is that sweet workaround with LTE. I'm in a 4g free zone so can't confirm or deny this.
Do I need to reactivate my phone after each flash or is it similar to with a sim card and just flash and go?

You would use activation like changing a sim card - triggers the phone to go out and grab its new phone number, GPRS logins, etc.
"Update profile and PRL" are what you should be doing on flashes, expecially if you flash a new modem.

I flashed a new modem last night, didn't update profile or PRL. Works fine.
Changing ROMs is as simple as changing sim cards. If your phone was activated before, a new ROM isn't going to change that. This includes AOSP ROMs, when they arrive.
Thanks for the replies. Now I just have to get over the differences of HTC and Samsung. Didn't have anything like Odin or whatnot for HTC, but did have weird bootloader issues. Thanks again.

Yeah, it will work fine. Modem rom contains the PRL, or at least it did on the e4gt. Flashing a new modem may leave you with an older PRL.

Ok. Maybe I didn't make my point clearly. I was talking about best practices over time.
For example, the modern you flashed has PRL56009 which is the newest ATM. Great.
In a year, if you flash this modem again, you'll be back on 56009. Even if the new PRL is 56123.
Make sense?
My general rules:
When flashing roms, only update prl and profile if you notice a loss of data speed or connectivity issues.
When flashing modems, update the prl and profile.
Samsung modems were new to me when transitioning from HTC. Common thought is the performance of different modem versions is dependent on location and/or individual phones. You will flash roms and modems independently.

My point was I had manually flashed the corporate prl previously, which I don't think was included in the modem. 55009 is the current standard prl.
I'm not trying to argue with you. I don't claim to understand how modems and prls work. Just sharing my experience.
