E980 doesn't go past Splash Screen after flash rom - LG Optimus G Pro

So, I was looking at the thread for the Sphinx Mod and i decided to download v1.2.
I did a restore to stock V10k, rooted, installed cwm for freegee
Went into CWM and flashed the Sphinx zip first
Then flashed the patch for F240s and i read somewhere in that thread s patch worked
I successfully booted but then i did not have a signal so i though i needed to reflash baseband
So i did but now it does not boot up and only stays at the lg splash screen
I tried to restore back but it says the phone is now a different model
I tried using the LG mobile support tool to flash the kdz panama or telecel but i get an error
I need some assistance.

same here brother

If you can still get into recovery, wipe everything and format system. then flash without flashing baseband.(GET IT TO BOOT). charge it and then flash back to stock with lg flash tool. download the tot file for the E980. I hope this helps

ive tried g and it does the same thing havent tried the last one but assumed it wont matter

this is the DDL file that i have for my E980 and it reads: LGE980_20130314_LGFLASHv151. just wondering if it matches...

LGE980_20130314_LGFLASHv151 yes sir same dll here idk about him though.

For the instructions for the Sphinx mod, it said to do a 3 wipe which means dalvik cache and system
so i don't have the files anymore but i am able to get to recovery

have you....

have you tried:1) pulling the battery out
2) hold the power and volume button until hard reset menu apears.
3) if it does shows push the power button three times to get to recovery?(thats how i usually get to recovery).

Could u please guide me through the process of converting f180l to e975 english version, i have downloaded the hong kong kdz file, downloaded the flashtool as well, the f180l baseband files, but i dont know how to use the flashtool and flash the baseband files after flashing the e975 firmware. A stepwise guide would be really appreciated,
plz follow this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010624
Yep, follow that thread. You need to secure a copy of the F180L modem driver (zip), otherwise your telephony will be buggy or not even working.
The goal is to be able to boot to TWRP or CMW and/or access fastboot.
Do the steps on that thread first then post the issues here if you are not successful or if you encounter error along the way.

KDZ or flashtool (recommend the latter) the same way you did with korean stock rom. After the flashsing done, wait for the phone to boot up, then turn off and do a hard reset. Then root, install recovery and use that to flash a baseband for your model. Gl

Restore stock KDZ after custom rom

I want to restore my stock LG E975 kdz after using a custom rom and CWM recovery. First I put the phone in download mode, run KDZ FW UPD tool and it begins to extract kdz file. But as soon as it begins Param 1, the phone enters recovery mode and the upgrade program loses connection.
What do I need to do to flash the stock KDZ now?

Guess i could install another rom which might have a different model number that's more friendly to Freegee.

glad it helped man!
For anyone else with the same problem:
I got stuck in a boot loop with the LG logo after flashing the kdz, likely due to the unlocked bootloader left by the custom roms.
I fixed that by doing a hard factory reset (volume down and power button). all fixed

I am able to push files to my phone through adb in the recovery mode at least.
oh my goodness...i just used the optimus rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2590234 and its working but the keyboard isnt
Try another keyboard and see if that works. Cloudyfa ported the lg3 keyboard and it is nice.
If you want to be best fixed. Grab Cloudyfa auto-rec and use it. Under android development of g2. This puts recovery but also fixes download mode in case you need it.

I'm really liking what you have done with this rom. No bootloops, no bricks, recovery works as it should. Viperfx won't work with this rom but the sony apps make up for it nicely. I don't mind not having a loudspeaker for calls, got used to it with the other sphinx roms and i rarely use the feature much. Great work man.

I flashed the LG viet version along with the patch, but i removed the recovery image from the rom before installing. The phone booted but it did not recognize my sd car. Tried booting into recovery and phone got stuck on LG logo. Tried using tot to go back to stock, lg flashtools didn't recognize my phone. had to install panama KDZ to revive my phone.

[Q] Twrp on Lg G3 lollipop how

Hello. I have looked at the forum for how to install twrp on my Lg G3 D855 lollipop.
First I have rooted my phone withh this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951, that worked fine now I read that I have to go to this http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-update-to-lollipop-root-bumpd-twrp-t3048845 tread to install twrp, but I can't seams to figure this out.
1: Shuld I first unroot my phone and then use that other guide insted of the first one I used.
2: will the other guide then reset my phone so it will be like a new rom installation or what.
if some could clarify for me in "how to" install twrp on my phone or maby have a link where it already says how to.

yes I have seen that but I dont know how to use this.
Will this reset my phone like a new rom or what, I tried the one i Linked earlier but that only gave me root but not the recovery, as what I can see when I try to enter recovery is says if I want to factory reset my phone and I was affraid to click yes there.
I'm also trying to figure out how to instal TWRP onto a LG G3 I'm coming from a LG G2 and it was a whole lot simple. So do I download the script onto my sd card then launch the exe from there? Thanks for the help!!

it will only install recovery, it will not reset it like new. Its a very simple one click script.
Ok, I ran the one click that I linked and that seemed to install recovery, I didn't know how to enter it the correct way.
So I ran the script on my D852 all went good but when I try to boot into recovery mode by holding down button and power button all I get is red light blue light. Then pull the battery and it boots back into stock. Weird...does it hurt anything to try to run the script again?
Thanks for the help!
@beaver5963, seems like you missed something and got a secure boot error. It would be nice if you could provide more details. Did you get the correct kk firmware for your model? Appropriate custom recovery image (twrp)? Rest of the stuff looks quite automated... I used the previous version of imageprep btw.

the link in OP's second post has worked like a charm for me.
also, just and fyi: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/stock-t2961073 has up-to-date firmware releases
Hello Again,
So I downloaded a kitkat firmware for my d852 that came in TOT format. Does anyone have instructions on how to use the automatic script with a TOT file versus the KDZ file as it is different. Sorry for all the questions but I am just trying to learn all this stuff. Thanks for the help!

@beaver5963, maybe you can look for a tot to kdz converter... Not sure if one exists.

I also got red and blue lights when I tried to go into recovery and then got a boot configuration error. Anyway to fix this? I just updated to lollipop on verizon. If I can't get this to work, I'm going to say screw it.

....tnx but I don't use it.
btw never wrote 'simple'. However in the tangle of threads I apparently "helped" someone out, pointing a link. To me felt kinda sad, just like explaining what I meant........
have a nice day
