When using quadrant to get a score, go into setcpu and set it to performance first, that is the best way to run the benchmark.

Haha, the app Quadrant.

Drop in quadrant score

Hi guys
Just noticed one thing. I previously had a constant quadrant score of 4800 to 4900 on the 1.26 firmware. Since I updated to 1.28, the score has become 4300 on the average. Has anyone else noticed that ?
Thanks

Quadrant is very unreliable in bench marks, use antutu gives much more reliable results, my antutu score is always 10.5-10.6 k highest I got was 11.4 but I closed all back ground stuffs had the phone sitting on a fan to keep it cool lol.
Also as stated benchmarks mean nothing in the real world.

Quadrant only supports 2 cores, you should be testing via AnTuTu
Its a more through test, as nice comparisons with a lot of other devices , graphs and a breakdown of the results too - simply put, its awesome.

Well I think I'm correct in saying Quadrant will ALWAYS give a higher result for the S4 for the simple reason it's such an amazing dual-core chip. I think I remember hearing somewhere the Snapdragon wins at quadrant, the Tegra wins at Antutu.
And mate, your completely arrogant. The SGSII scored amazingly at quadrant, but I was really, really disappointed with the gaming on it.

To right, benchmarks mean nothing in the real world, your average joe cares not about how fast a CPU can calculate numbers.

Quadrant is a joke. 2 Cores and VSync is activated (you are constantly at 60FPS with your One X in every single test). Don't know why it's still being used.
Btw: I also got nearly 12100 with stock rom and 1.28 *yaay*
not true
I agree that Benchmarks might not be the best way to judge a phone's performance, yet it is still a good indicator of how a phone stands in front of others.
I own an HTC One X, and to say that those benchmarks are totally pointless is plain stupid. a Higher score is generally indicative of better hardware
Look at our HOX compared to the SGSIII, the SGSIII scored higher, and upon analyzing the score it turned out that this is only because of the modified Mali-400, the CPU performance is the same, and this is quite true as both have an ARM9 architecture.
Going back to the topic of this thread, the benchmark dropped upon upgrading from 1.26 to 1.28 from 4900 to 4300, and this is indicative that the new software might have fixed something at the expense of other. This could be known upon inspecting the scores of the individual tests in Quadrant (CPU, graphic, mem, I/O).
Unfortunately i can give you the numbers of 1.28, if someone has 1.26 and can post the numbers, that would give us an indication of what went wrong.
Thanks

We've just told you, Quadrant doesn't even support more than 2 cores - Quadrant scores are INVALID for both the SGS3 & the HOX.
Here is AnTuTu result, which DOES support all cores & does a much through test too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KamFLoa6Lr8&feature=youtube_gdata_player
SGS3: 11492
My own HOX: 12039
My HOX isn't even running android 4.0.4 like the SGS3, just 4.0.3 here.

Why my HOX has less score when comparing with others?

Try closing all apps in task manager, then allow the phone to sit for a few mins on idle with screen off, then go straight to AnTuTu & benckmark.
This should rule out any software or temperature interference.

One X - Lower Quadrant score / Android Rev. HD 9.7.2

Hi there,
It seems like everyone has 6000 in Quadrant on his One X , using Android Revolution HD, wich is stock.
I don't seem to get higher then 5350 in Quadrant, same thing happens for Antutu benchmark where I get around 12500,
and else get like 13000. I did a quick comparison and the cpu scores somehow looks lower then others.
I have a variant 1, stock boot.img android revolution HD 9. Anyone got an explanation / fix for this?
Thanks
Well, i heard that people say that Quadrant is not stable and chaining score all the time. I tested it and it's true Quadrant is not the best benchmark app. I can recommend you AnTuTu it's much more accurate and better!
It seems that my I/O score is half the score of someone else, I get around 5k instead of 10k

Not only that but scores are higher in the paid than free version, antutu is a better test as said, you should score between 10 and 12 k.

Antutu should 'always' be higher than 12k since the 4.0.4 update.
It will only ever be less if battery is running low.

2d, 3d benchmark boost??

Which are the best settings for 2d and 3d boost.?? I am talking about Quadrant and Antutu Benchmarks...
I am using Franco's kernel R365...
Do you want to boost your benchmark scores?
GNEX is a very nice phone. It can do a million other interesting things. You should try.

If you had tell me you want to boost performance to play games, that was fine by me.

Which is the best kernel for high performance?

I'm looking for the best kernel for performance
please help
do you notice that abyss kernel has established? it should allows you to oc the clock up to 1.9 Ghz.
Thor kernel 0.15. You can overclock up to 2.0 Ghz

now i I'm using red pill kernel oc 1.8ghz gpu 800 and i scored 18006 in antutu benchmark
battery is also great and maybe this is the best kernel for balanced battery-performance

I dont understand you... What do you mean?
My antutu score is about 18000 at 1.8ghz and 800 gpu - i think its really nice because battery life is also good
What they all ment is that you are already driving a ferrari in a 30 zone... It is pointless to OC your note as the power it has it is more than enough. You cannot run Battlefield 3 on it in any shape of form...

Your score is a bit off, I get your score with a stock rom and stock kernel. I use perseus kernel now oc to 1.8ghz and uv as well upto - 50mv and without touching the gpu setup I get upto 19000 score if not more.

That's nice.
You do know that benchmarks are a pile of horse**** and have nothing whatsoever to do with actual device performance, right? That variable score should prove that to you, if nothing else will.
They're an artificial metric that measures one thing only; how quickly the benchmark runs. The only purpose they really serve is to wave your epeen at people, which tells us rather a lot about the waver.

From my observation I noticed that running the benchmark consecutively the score reduces due to the build up of heat. More heat slower performance so that could be one of the reason why you have such variations.
