I updated to 4.4.2 and flashed the Jedi rom. Everything works but I've noticed that my phone is charging incredibly slower. It looks like I'm charging at 450 mah, which I believe it should be at 1200? Someone mentioned red pill kernel but I don't think it'll work with the note 3.
Edit: I just unplugged the same charger and plugged it back in the same socket and it shot up to 1200...

For the past week I have been having a horrible tme wit my battery charging. Like where its like 2% gain in each hour or worse. I just flashed the com rc2 and have been running the nightlys for a bit now.
I have had a issue wit the charging port, but that just made it for some cords and certain angles it would not get connection, but never effected the speed of charge.
The battery voltage is 4009mv but I feel that when I looked at it last night it was a bit higher, on a wall charger now.
I was thinking of doing the best buy replacement and get he new version of it, as I also have lift leakage and its a bit beat up anyways, does anyone have first hand on how they handle the replacements?
Are you using the stock charger or an aftermarket. The Evo needs a lot of juice to charge it not just any charger will work. I'm not sure but I think you need a min of 750ma to charge correctly.
Ever since I flashed Ultimate Droids Rom my battery has started to take alot longer to charge. I throw it on the charger at 6%, and check half an hour later to see that its gone up maybe 1% or none!
I've tried to nandroid to past Roms that haven't had this problem but they all seem to be the same.
Could it be my Evo,or my Battery?,

It might not be your battery nor your phone. It might just be the rom you put. take it off and then see if your battery improves. If you know someone who has an evo, maybe an incredible since it uses the same battery try putting theirs in and see if it makes a difference. That way it will save you some time from completely restoring the rom.
Okay I'm pissed off. I took my phone off this morning at 28% ,so I throw it on the charger turned OFF,30 minutes later 8% l
WTF is happening!?

You are being punished for being a bad person.
Lol, seriously, my guess is any number of things:
1) Check to make sure your red charging light comes on when you plug in.
2) Make sure your charger isn't plugged into a socket controlled by a lightswitch you have turned off.
3) Make sure there are no micro-breaks in your charging cord's casing that would be causing a short (this happened to me - got new charging cord, problem solved).
4) Make sure your charger is rated at at least 5 volt / 800 ma.
5) Your usb port may have gone bad.
6) Go into Clockwork Recovery and clear your battery stats under "Advanced Options".
7) Your battery is cooked (happens - hardware breaks).
8) It could just be a coincidence that this is happening to you after you flashed UD. I was just over at their forum and this doesn't seem to be a common problem.
I have an EVO and am running the UD 12/3 nightly and it is flawless. 2.3 was a bit buggy. The new nightly is better.
same problem
Has any one figured out what's the problem with EVO and the battery charging situation? A couple weeks ago I noticed my battery wasn't charging, I turned the phone off and on then it would charge...now it won't charge at all WTF? I got a red light indicating my phone is plugged in, I got a thunder bolt in the battery window indicating charging, but the green bar is not moving while charging anymore. If I unplug the phone it will shut down. ANY AND SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOMED...THANKS IN ADVANCE
EVO not charging fully and draining fast
Okay, here's my deal. My friend and I both have EVO's. We both are running Vaelpaks 3.1 rom. We both have the Battery Monitor Widget. When I charge my battery, it charges to 100% and 0mA. When my friend charges his phone, it reads 100% but the mA is not going to 0mA. Instaead it bounces between 64mA (red) or 252 mA (green). When he unplugs the phone, it drops 10% within minutes and continues to drop at a much faster rate than my phone.
Here's the kicker, when I pull his battery out of his phone and charge it in my phone, it charges to 100% and 0mA. then we put it back in his phone and it works great, until he charges it again. It charges the same way regardless of the rom we run. We have loaded Manilla Carbon by xxbabiboi228xx, VaelPak 3.1 and even stock and his phone won't charge to completion and drains quickly. Also, we are both rooted with Urevoked. We may switch to S on and see about switching the phone with Sprint unlees anyone has some sort of idea about whats going on with his phone. It may have something to do with the Hardware Version through settings/About Phone. My hardware version is 0003 and his is 0002. Thanks
you guys running the same kernel too?

It's the kernel, when your battery reaches 100% its supposed to stop charging but SBC kernels will continue to trickle charge. Li-ions aren't supposed to be trickle charged so they will wear out much quicker and possibly become unstable.
Sorry if this has been asked before or in the wrong place...
Anyways, when I was using CM7 RC4 I noticed that if I charged my phone by USB on my MacBook the battery life was significantly reduced compared to wall charge. Anyone elts notice this? Or is this just me?
I flashed CM7 Final earlier today, and while at work I read about the GPS fix so I am in the middle of flashing Fresh to do the fix but I am going right back to CM7 final!!
It shouldn't affect your battery life. USB charging will be slower than a wall charger such as the stock one, which supports 1 amp charging and is recognized as an "AC" charger. But once you reach 100%, your battery life shouldn't be affected by how you got there.
I noticed something really odd with charge times on the couple of roms I've been on since getting this phone.
Starting off, I got the phone and immediately flashed Carbon rom. I've noticed extremely poor charge times. This was using the stock AC adapter and usb cable. Surely it shouldn't take that long to charge. The night I noticed I had charging issues, I went to bed when the phone was @ 60% charge. Woke up 7 hours later, phone was at 80%. Ended up playing some games / using the phone and while plugged in charging, the battery was draining down.
The 2nd night. same thing happened. So I decided to watch the phone charge while doing nothing. It would literally climb 1% after 5-10 minutes at best. So further investigating, I was looking around on xda and there were quite a few threads about people having very slow charge times on the Note 2 and some that can fully charge from 0-100 in ~ 2-3 hours. I ended up installing battery monitoring widgets (Elixir Widgets to show charge mA values and Battery Monitor Pro. So apparently even though it shows my phone is receiving 1600-1800 mA, it still charges extremely slow.
The odd thing was, the rate it was charging off the wall was slower than plugging into my comp to charge (and when plugged into my comp, it showed it intaking 500-900 mA).
Now the really odd thing is, I decided to flash a different rom (LiquidSmooth) because of the annoying mdm_hsic_pm0 wake locks carbon was having. I used the phone to about 80% configuring it and I plugged it into the wall charger. Walked away for 5-10 min, and came back and saw it was at 85%. Before, 5% would have taken me a good 20 minutes of charging. After a while, I looked back at Battery Monitor Pro and according to the history, it charged from 80%-100% within 30 minutes. This charging issue is ridiculous. Fixed by swapping roms. Perhaps there are some coding issues somewhere affecting charge rates.
You should post this on the carbon wall and let them know what version u were using.

I have made a lot of comments in this thread regarding charging time issue. Most of the charging widget apps you find in the Playstore are useless. The only app that correctly display your REAL charging current is here: (look for the op's comments and mine, I have provided a lot analysis for everyone's benefit)

I noticed the same thing when I went from stock to tweaked 1.5
What fixed it for me was moving the charger from a strip directly to a wall plug. Kind of a pain since now I have to charge it in another room.

I had to switch roms to get it to charge normally. Now my phone charges about 1%/min. Before on Carbon, it was charging 1% every 7-10 min. I been using the stock 2A charger adapter + stock cable that came w/ the note 2 in the wall. Can't possibly be adapter issue as rom swap fixed it for me.

I don't have the issue and I use Carbon so it's not the ROM.
I installed the app mentioned in the thread and my charge voltage is normal.
Carbon Nightly | Kroz Hue Theme | Crack Flasher
When plugged in, my Note II will LOSE juice while I use it but will charge normally while the screen is off. This is the case even with the brightness set to auto or even manually set to it's lowest level while using an app with a black theme (like Reddit Is Fun). Checking out the battery usage still says the screen uses the most power. This happened while stock and with the Jedi 12 ROM.
A week ago my phone suddenly didn't charge and stuck on whatever battery percentage it was on and only charges when it's turned off.
I've tried replacing the battery with a new one and use another charger but the issue still the same. Until I've changed the ROM, it started to charge normally; So I reflashed the old ROM I was using (AICP Nougat 7.1) and installed ampere to see how much current is flowing during charging and it was between 875 and 1025mA then I enabled the option to see charing info on the lock screen and it was reading the following current as 1mA only and 0mA if I'm charging it from my laptop. (see the attachments below)
I've tried doing a clean flash of the ROM and flash a new kernel(Hybrid v9) and it still the same. no matter what charger or cable I use.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
Thanks
In hybrid kernel try set 2000mA in boeffla-config app for AC currient charge section and turn on `ignore unstable power` and `ignore safety margin`.
It works for me.
