Hi guys, this is the problem I'm facing. I was running the latest oxygen rom without any problems, until I decided to install polaris office. I downloaded the docmanager apk and read that I have to push it to /system/app. Anyway, I was trying to get system to be writable and testing the mount cmd... I entered mount into the emulator and got a bunch of mounted paths. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with what happened bur anyway I then downloaded busybox installer and installed busybox.
I rebooted and next thing I know, the default oxygen launcher appears instead of the go launcher I had installed and almost all apps are not listed. I check the app manager and it shows all the other apps in their package name with a sd card sign next to them.
I am running oxygen with sdext enabled. I am guessing I did something from the emulator that messed up sdext which has most of my apps.
Can anyone tell me how I can fix this? I'm not really sure what has actually happened, but if you need me to provide more info please let me know.
BTW, I downloaded the market apk again and when I tried to install it, android rebooted. I am guessing that's cause it tried to install it on sdext.
Thanks.
Got a call from a friend with a GT-N5110 Note 8.0 that I'm hoping y'all can help with.
Friend bought the latest Humble Bundle and tried to install Badland and ColorSheep using the HumbleBundle app. And then ran into two mistakes
Mistake 1 was that she didn't see the warning about turning on the "Allow install from 3rd party sources" first.
Mistake 2 was that she then got a prompt about turning this on for each game install, but didn't notice that there was a second tick box that said "For this install only" and didn't untick that.
Both installs failed with "App not installed" message. She's tried switching on that 3rd party sources and rebooting, but nothing gets those apps in. Weird thing is that ALL the other HB games install fine (after the reboot).
I've tried clearing out the HB's apps cache, sideloading the apk, but nothing works - I still get that "App not installed" message with no explanation WHY it's not been installed.
Is there some security cache somewhere that's not allowing these two apps to install or, failing that, is there some log I can check to see what the problem is with these two apps? I've tried logcat viewers but they don't give any info on software installs, and I've tried the APK's for those two games on my 2013 model Note 10.1 and they work fine.
I could try HB support, but I figure that this is probably one of those "deep in the engine room" kind of problems, so a shout out to the experts on XDA seemed more appropriate.
Please unmount your SD card and attempt the reinstall.
On newer versions of Android, some SD card permissions weirdness started and unmounting on these newer versions seems to fix the install issue on all of my devices.
Well,I installed AOKP Build 9 ROM in my Xperia M (C1905) and switched to ART mode.
I had to convert a bunch of user apps to system due to problems with low memory but everything went ok.
The problem is I m getting the dreaded "Android is optimizing apps" at every reboot which is really annoying.
And this is every time on every boot. Its not optimizing every app, just a few of them.
EDIT Actually,it does optimize only the user apps on every reboot.Weird huh?
From what I remember this has to do with odex files or it is a permissions issue or
Google apps Package issue (actually not,PA GAPPS are ART compatible).
Anyone please can help me get rid of this?

Click to collapse
Switch to ART:
1) Full wipe.
2) Format System & Data
3) Flash CM11 ( without Gapps - important!!!! )
4) Boot your phone.Enable WiFi or 3G data.Change to runtime ART.Reboot.
5) Boot again and check if runtime ART
6) Flash Gapps and configure phone.
7) Install your app.
Tested many times without any problem. I'am on ART from 10 months. No problem.

Hello
I have a rooted samsung galaxy tab S / 8.4 with Kit Kat 4.4.2
I have read various similar posts regarding the same issues and have tried various ways to remove or rectifiy the error message that appears onscreen. 'Unfortunately context services has stopped'.
I have cleared the dalvik cache from within lucky patcher.
I have wiped the cache partition from within the recovery mode.
I have cleared the settings / storage / general / cached data and the actual context service app itself.
I have read other posts referring to renaming the context service apk, so it will not run, yet where is it located?.
Or have read that if you access the system/priv-app folder and replace the context service apk with another version of the same file.
Ive tried to access the system/priv-app folder via the root explorer program, but it deosnt find the folder.
Can anyone shed any light on why this error message appears and how to remedy it?
Thanks for reading
Came across these posts:
http://m.theinquirer.net/inquirer/n...ll-collect-user-data-to-share-with-developers
It seems that the context services collect user personal data and feeds it back to samsung or developers.
So it may be good that this context service is stopped after all?
Also this one mentioning to freeze the context services through Titanium back up.

Conclusion as to the reason why the error message is present.
I wiped the cache from inside recovery mode and then a factory reset.
Reflashed stock 4.4.2 rom and re-rooted.
Set the phone up with apps I like and use etc and all was well.
However the minute I installed Xposed installer & activated it and rebooted the device, the error message reappears!!
Hope this helps anyone else out.
i'm having trouble while installing Gameloft apps. It says error-910 after downloading the apps
i also downloaded the apk of asphalt 9 and mc5 and tried installing but failed to install
i tried clearing data of playstore, play services, framework, download manager and removed my google accounts
but couldn't solve the problem.
has anyone faced the same problem?
TIA
The problem would no longer persist if you make a factory reset, but that's not a good option
