Hey Ladies and Gents,,Well first of let me just say what ye guys do here is amazing,Been dropping in on ye every time i need help and ye have never failed me once,,So my hats of to ye great people... My question is about the galaxy note 2 n7100 heres my problem i bought my Note 2 in the uk of a good friend,,it was sim unlocked so i could take it back here to Ireland,,Brought it home 4 days ago and i was checking around and i liked the look at the Kitkat 4.4.3 rom,so i flashed the rom no problems at all,,Just the camera stopped working it the note 2,,Cant have that so i flashed the pacman rom camera came back phone was working great loved it,,Only thing was it wud not except my sim,anymore,,Strange i have full signal showing and when i register on the network,Vodafone,ie it says registered,,try to make a call ur not registered,,,,,,so i taught maybe the sim tryed it on a few other phones i have works no problems at all..I taught maybe its the pacman rom maybe,,So i flashed it back to Kitkat rom 4.4.3 which the sim did work in and it wudnt work now..,,,So i spent about 14 hours straight reading what i could have done to it to mess it up so bad,,im guessing this is were Guys i turn into a Noob,,i forgot to save my efs files before flashing,my imei number became null,,so i went about trying to fix that,,i did by flashing an older modem and the imei came back,,but still no signal...More reading to do,,so i read about this Knox security,cud i have triggered this,,so into odin mode and checked i did its 0x1,,,more i read i cant change that and ye good people are working on this but no one has any joy yet with this so i have read from Chainfire and xda posts,,,i found one post that said to try a rom that doesnt trigger Knox so i did and the phone is working its back working great but i cant use my sim in it,,Every sim unlock says ur phone is under a new lock system and we are working on it,,I tried other modems nothing is working to use my vodafone sim, Right now im on jellybean 4.3

First I want to thank all the devs and everyone who created these threads chalk full of info I needed to learn/how to root my g2, flashing roms, and etc. I went crazy and flashed every kernal rom I get my hands on lol. But now I'm bored flashing roms and kernals...need something new....so I decided to look into radios...(i know flashing radio can brick phone) but the idea of finding better signals or faster 4g speeds I couldn't help it...lol
Normally I don't like asking I perfer using the search engine to find what I need...only way I learn...but I cant find the answer to my question....
I recently flashed radio 12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17...everything working great no problem...but when I look into about phone...it tells me my baseband version is 12.28e.60.140fU_26.04.02.17_M2...umm where did that U and M2 come from? What does it mean? Nothing broken everything works fine...I still want to know why.....

I bought a new Boost branded Samsung Gs3
It was 4.1 out of the box, but when I activated the phone it forced 4.3 on me.
The phone is rooted..(did it myself!)
I also used the "DE-SAMSUNGNIZER_KNOX_REMOVAL_SCRIPT_V1.0.zip" right after rooting....
I can' t see any knox related files on the phone.
I haven't flashed any roms yet, but wanted to.. Just didn't want to hard-brick the phone.
Can I use any sprint based rom?? Do I need to be aware of anything....I would like to try this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2321867

You won't brick as long as you don't flash a tar file that downgrades the bootloader, since you took the OTA update. You can run almost any Sprint rom, but you will have to remove asserts from the ROM itself to keep from getting status 7 errors, due to Boost having slightly different radio(mk5). Try THIS link, it has some ROMs already modified for Boost. The second post explains how to remove asserts from ROMs not listed plus AOSP and CM based ROMs. I grabbed AOSB from Sprint forums and followed directions to remove asserts. Worked perfectly except for you can only have 3g and MMS or LTE and no MMS.
My friend has an xperia m single sim model running latest official firmware and its is very slow. Hangs quite often and takes 2 to 3 swipes to unlock the screen. So i thought ill flash the phone with a custom rom.
Im good with flashing phones and have done it a lot. I always do my research before flashing to get the best rom for the phone. But with this phone i am stuck. I dont think i have found a stable rom yet. I know i should not ask which is the best rom but still can someone suggest a rom which can be flashed to this phone.
The problem is that after i will be meeting my friend for a day and i cannot flash it for a long time. So i dont want to put a rom and then after few days he finds serious bugs.
So some suggestion please. I usually go for omnirom or cm11.Some advice regarding rom,kernel,recovery would help me a lot

Try Latest build of CM11 FXP, that is most Stable Rom according to me.
I'd say it's latest build from FXP (it's 326 so far). No serious bug or annoying UI. go for it. :good:
i will go with cm11 then.Thank you guys one more doubt. Does cyandelta work with fxp builds?
Ok lets see if I can make sense of all this and get some help if possible. First I have tried almost ever ROM made for the snapdragon Note 4. I have a snapdragon system and none of the snapdragon roms work even if for the 910F Note 4. There was one or two but I never took the notes I should have to confirm and or deny worked. Now I see there is a way to flash the MM baseband and modem ... and I think it reverts you back to stock or need to be on stock, then you can reflash ROM's to get MM modem and still use 6.0.1 ROM's??? I have been running kyubi rom ... its nice but haven't feel in love with it. as of now AGAIN once it drops past 25% battery no matter what it drops when charging then I have to pull the battery and try to charge my battery. Ok that was off toping sorta ... my question is cant we just odin the newer MM modem and whatever on our rooted retail note 4 converted to dev edition? if so .. how? this is the process (( http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...t/howto-bootloader-unlock-upgrade-to-t3398144 )) and maybe I have read too many posts and pages of rom info and blah blah ... im so confused at this point. yeah I have no idea what im actually asking now that im re reading this slop of a post. how can I get MM baseband and modem on my Retail note 4 converted to dev edition? if I can get this done with this help with the roms that are MM and don't work with this 910V? because a lot of them require a data fix ... That will give you access to three ROMs that are based on Marshmallow: Jasmine, CM13 and PaulPizz, all ROMs developed for the N910V. louforgiveno has a data fix which, if I understand correctly, will give you access to N910F ROMs that are based on Marshmallow. I haven't heard yet how that has worked out yet.
The key is to determine the ROM base. It is possible for a Marshmallow ROM to be based on Lollipop. CM13 was like that until last week. Dr Ketan's ROM over on the N910F/G side is another. Once you get an unlocked Marshmallow bootloader, you'll need to do your homework before you install custom ROMs.

I have a rooted Redmi Note 5 Pro. I flashed different custom roms for example pixel exprience, Lineage, resurrection remix... but I allways have the same problem. If I call some people from my phonebook for example my dad I only hear strange sounds (like an alien voice). If I flash the latest miui everything works fine. I can call my dad and everyone from my phonebook. The strange thing is that only some of my entrys got this problem. They all have different providers. Theyr phones are rooted and unrooted.
What I tryed:
Deleted my dad and make a new entry...same problem
Get a new sim card from my provider...same problem
tryed diffrent custom roms...same problem
I hope u can help me and you understand my problem (my englisch is not the best, sorry for that)
Write directly in the thread of a specific custom ROM.
In my mind its not the rom. Cause I tested 5 diffrent roms. Must be something with my mobile phone it self or a general issue.

What firmware do you have ... If it is latest than try to downgrading to previous(use fastboot ROM).. Than you need to boot in miui ROM at least once and wait, put phone to airplane mode, CCA 5 mins. Than clean flash custom ROM and try to call again... I heard that latest firmware has some issues, but not on all phones.
Just an idea, worth to try.. Good luck and hope it will work.
