Of course in TWRP. Where else would you do it mate?
Put the CM on your card, go to TWRP and do a data /cache wipe and flash the CM rom.
The battery life is fine. I haven't had it run dry on me once. I charge once at night, that's all.

I'm going to be using CWM Recovery to flash Gingerbread-Inc-Deck on my Droid Incredible. It seems like a decent and stable ROM.
Instructions say to do a full wipe and I'm wondering what that entails. I was under the impression that it was the usual data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, and wipe dalvik cache. However, after the recent posts about bootloops and being stuck at the splash screen... I am just wanting to make sure I do this properly.
Can someone please clarify, what does a full wipe refer to on the Droid Incredible? Even better, how do you flash a ROM on your Droid Incredible? This will be my first time flashing a ROM on my DInc and I want to do it right.
Data, cache, dalvik, boot and system I usually wipe.

Yes, go into recovery and then the mounts and storage menu and wipe everything you can in there except sdcard and emmc. Then go to the advanced menu and wipe dalvik-cache. Then flash your rom by going to install zip from sdcard then choose zip from sdcard and select the rom zip you downloaded.

No by wiping everything in mounts and storage you are essentailly doing the factory reset with the addition of boot and system.

Yes they are all in mounts and storage. It should work without any issues. Not wiping things correctly is usually the most common issue causer when installing a rom.

Yes, that is why I wanted to make sure I did this correctly! Thank you again for your help. One last thing, after doing all this, I will still have root right?

As long as the rom you are flashing is a rooted rom which almost all (99%) are, then yes you will still have root. And yes inc-deck is a rooted rom.
Oh and most important before you wipe and flash remember to make a backup of your current setup just incase.

Great, I can't thank you enough for answering all my n00b questions! ...even more so, I can't wait to load a custom ROM and kernel on my DInc.
Edit: Yes, I will absolutely make a back-up before flashing anything.
Hi guys,
I have an other problem with this ROM. Sometimes when I turn off the screen the device locks, the only solution is remove the battery and turn off the Desire.
When the device locks I have or the screen totally black or the boot animation blocked and any commands don't work.
Someone have this problem or know the solution?? Thanks
Jerry

Ok, Thanks. I have another question for you about this ROM. The volume (ring and alarm) is very low, how can I increase it??
From sandvold site
"Volume is very low!
Have you used Amarullz or Darktremor A2SD? Although both methods uaually work well they have been shown to cause lots of FCs with this ROM. A alternative A2SD method is baked right into this ROM so you don't need another one. See the question above this one."
Also you can download via market "audiomanager"..
But propably its the a2sd
You use darktremor script ? Because when you move dalvik cache to sd your sound will be low
Sent from my HTC Desire
i use it too, but my sound its ok, it wasnt at 0.3.4, but now at 0.3.6 my problem is fixed

Yes i use Darktremor script. I flashed this script because the "native" app2sd script of the ROM doesn't work good.
I follow the guide of the ROM to install the script but after the reboot i have always the same problem, the problem is that every app that I install is copied to both internal memory and external partition, so the internal memory fills up quickly.
The sound is now ok.
I still have the problem that I wrote at the beginning of this discussion (freezing of the device) but it is less rare.
u have the latest version 0.3.6?

No, actually i didn't format the system, i did only all wipe. I can do also the format .
So I can do this:
wipe chache
wipe dalvik cache
factory reset
format system
flash ROM
it's right???
do this
i did this and everything works fine
1. wipe data/factory reset
2. mounts and storage --> format system
u dont need to do anything else..these 2 options do all the other wipes and formats
3. install clean rom
tell me what happend

Gallery problems
Its a great ROM with a few expected problems being a beta. The problem I'm having is with the gallery. I can't access any of my albums.
I've tried Quick Pics but it doesn't find images stored online in G+ or Picasa albums.
Has anyone else come across this using a2sd?
sorry man, dont know what else to say..
So... long story short, I just bought my SGS3 yestarday, and I'm a bit of a root newbie (rooted my Inspire 4g with AAHK which was a piece of cake since it was so well developed), installed CM10 and as my first ROM. THen I realized that the camera on CM10 straight up didn't work, went to the most recent CM9 nightly (8/16) with ROMManager, flashed it in, but I didn't wipe my data, just the delvik cache, now when I turn on my phone it is stuck in the CM9 booting animation for all eternity.
Anybody have any idea how to fix this? I.e. revert to stock ROM or something?

Boot into recovery. Volume up + power, I think. Then wipe data. Go to advanced and wipe cache and dalvik too while you're at it. Might even want to go to mount, format system, and reflash the ROM.
BTW, the camera was working on CM10 8/14. You might wanna use that.

Thanks a ton, sorry for being a total noob about all this stuff. It worked and now the phone is working with the latest CM9 nightly.
For future reference, in the unlikely case that anybody visits this thread, press vol up+home+power to boot into recovery.
Thanks again!!!
I have Carbon ROM which I am thoroughly enjoying. I would like to upgrade to the newest build which I have downloaded on my phone. Is there anyway to update without having to redownload all my apps/reinstall via a backup? Can I just flash over it without wiping my phone?

Yeah, forgot about those! :what:
It's the Wipe Data \ Factory Reset that gets rid of the apps, so throwing in a format /system into your dirty flash won't hurt...
I have never experience this before, if i flash a new rom and i need to charge it , it just won't do anything untill i remove the battery, does any one know why?
