I have received the 4.1.2 JellyBean stock OTA update a week ago and since then I've been noticing that the cellular data signal is lost from time to time. Switching to aeroplane mode and back doesn't help. Only reboot does the trick. Please can someone help me identify what the issue could be? Thanks.
Edit: what I mean it's that the mobile data (2G/3G) doesn't work and not that the cellular signal is lost. I can make calls, just can't get on the internet.

For some reason I've been having an issue with mobile data ceasing to function after enabling then disabling Wifi.
I'm on Ting an MVNO of Sprint. Shouldn't make much of a difference but has anyone had this problem?
If I reboot, mobile data works, right up until I toggle Wifi on and off.

Another observation. If I toggle Network Mode from CDMA+LTE/EVDO and then back again mobile data function will restore. So now I've found a way to avoid a necessary reboot, but still, wondering why this is happening.

Got things working after messing with apn config file.

What did you do? I'm also using Ting and have a Samsung Galaxy SIII running CM10.2. I have no data and not sure how to configure APNs..
This Ting help forum has a download that worked for me with CM. LTE working fine now.

Thanks for the post, though I solved the issue as well two days ago. I'll post my thread here just incase some other poor soul wanders in with the same issues as I.
On all 4.3 ROMs including stock wifi autoscanning is broken. It works for a while but after deep sleep it stops. This causes it to not connect to known networks and leaves you on mobile data unless you manually open the WiFi menu.

Really mine doesn't do that?
I'm on SlimBean Build 2 with Fancy kernel. No problems here with Wi-Fi that I notice. Maybe this isn't much, but I make full-use of Profiles such that my 'Home' profile turns off Mobile Data and turns on Wi-Fi.
This has happened on mine more than a few times. I'm not totally sure what conditions cause it to occur, but it definitely exists.
Two of us here at my office have this issue. Friday, I went back to stock 4.2.2 then the wifi was good again. Then Saturday, I let the phone update to 4.3. Wifi problem again. Today I went back to 4.2.2 again and the wifi is working again. I'm not sure why Google hasn't fixed this. Please do!
Maybe they did fix it already. Android 4.4 is already out.
Has anyone else experienced a significant "decrease" in signal strength after the ota update?
I now get no signal in my house after updating where prior I would have enough to call, send and receive text and mms.
Now unless I'm on wifi I get nothing.
Suggestions?

I had the same problem! What worked for me is going into Wifi calling settings and changing to cellular signal preferred! Let me know if that works
