I have received the 4.1.2 JellyBean stock OTA update a week ago and since then I've been noticing that the cellular data signal is lost from time to time. Switching to aeroplane mode and back doesn't help. Only reboot does the trick. Please can someone help me identify what the issue could be? Thanks.
Edit: what I mean it's that the mobile data (2G/3G) doesn't work and not that the cellular signal is lost. I can make calls, just can't get on the internet.

I installed the cm10 rom about 2 weeks ago. I love jelly bean and cm10 dont get me wrong but i have been noticing that i can not send picture messages when connected to 3g or wifi (i have to reboot the phone everytime i want to send a picture) also my 3g would randomly disappear (it disconnects without showing that its disconnected). I have to put the phone on airplane mode and then reconnect to 3g. Just a few days ago my s3 stopped letting me use the wifi at my job (it said trying to avoid poor signal or something like that). The wifi signal at my job is very strong and i went into the wifi settings and disable the "avoid poor signal" feature. Still it wouldnt connect but it connects to the wifi at my house. I just want to know if im the only person experiencing this. Also how would i be able to switch back to ics from jb? Is it a quick process? Can it be done str8 from my phone without using my computer? Can i do it using mobile odin? If odin is needed?

Going back to ics is as simple as wiping the normal things, then flashing a ics based rom.

Don't need to use Odin. Just wipe and restore.

So, now that you're back on ICS, you should give CM10 another try. That build was like 2 months old. Those bugs you were talking about have been squashed. Pretty stable at this point.
Ill check it out. Do uknow if netflix is workingon jb?
show me something worth my attention
Is that possible ? I rooted long tone ago was on multiple roms on prl 2000 and always had signal at work..but I un rooted and back to stock some days ago and I dont get any signal at work. Moreover the stupid data roaming keeps coming on and doesn't go away in spite of hitting dont ask me again. I have set it to automatic in roam control and voice and data are checked. The prl on stock is 2006 and is latest.
Any thoughts? Should I un check aprint connection optimizer?

It's possible that your area is under network upgrade.
When you unrooted and went back to stock, did you go to the 4.3 update with mk4 radio?
No its on 4.1.2 was hoping would get a update notice but didn't get yet.

Has anyone else experienced a significant "decrease" in signal strength after the ota update?
I now get no signal in my house after updating where prior I would have enough to call, send and receive text and mms.
Now unless I'm on wifi I get nothing.
Suggestions?

I had the same problem! What worked for me is going into Wifi calling settings and changing to cellular signal preferred! Let me know if that works

Get yourself the stock ROM and flash thru Odin. Something might of gone wacky

Anyone having any of these issues as of recent on t-mobile?
Not sure if the OTA KitKat update is responsible, I dont think I noticed it before with 4.3.
I''ve had a few instances where when restarting my phone I receive texts, that were sent earlier...
Also sometimes data just not working until I restart the phone. I believe this happens when leaving my wifi signal.
Anyways, this seems to be be a recent problem going on for a couple days that i've noticed.
I've had these issues on 4.3 and wiping the cache always cured the problem(s).
