SM-T211 After-Rooting Issue[OTA update] - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there. I rooted my tablet using Kingo root application, but now it won't receive OTA updates.
"The device has been modified. No updates are available."
The SD card trick didn't work(removing SD, rebooting tab).
Please help me.

No update available for the device even if it was NOT modified
So keep calm

Application detects rooted phone

Hi i have a problem with an application from my internet provider called Telenet.
The application name is Yelo, it allows you to watch TV on your android device, great feature heh!
if it would work, ive tested it on my girlfriends Phone wich is not rooted and there it works.
So the application 'Yelo' says to me "you are using a rooted smartphone or tablet, yelo tv does not support these devices.".
so i checked the build number on my girfriends Phone thinking they would try to match that with some database.
So i edited the build.prop rebooted the Phone, but it didnt help.
Does anyone have an idea on how to bypass this check without locking my Phone again?
Thanks, Kind Regards.

You could try the OTA Rootkeeper app. It's not a database match; I'm guessing the app tries to use su.
Also on some ROMs you can turn off root, I know you can on CM.
Fixed

Does this still work for you after the update from november (v 3.1)? On my Desire HD it stopped working since the last update (the one with Rex & Rio). I tried temp unroot with SuperUser (what I have always used) and Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper but neither still does the trick. It keeps saying I have a rooted device and rooted devices aren't supported. Rolled back to the previous version (3.0.4) but when I start it, it forces me to update to the newest version .
I hate Telenet for being so retarted. As if we can't record the live stream using a Windows pc ... which is always 'rooted' and has plenty of apps.
okay

[Q]Galaxy tab root without computer

Hello, I've tried some ways to to root my tab without computer( framaroot, gingerbreak, z4root) but they all was unable to root my device. z4root crashes during root process, gingerbreak showed me the rooted message for over 30 minutes so I closed it, and framaroot showed me that my device is rooted but after rebooting ther still was no root. I always had USB debugging enabled. So my question is: is there any other root method which works without a.computer?
Thanks for your help!!!

Root disappeared on P605 with 4.4.2 after successfully enabling Towelroot in the past

Hi,
i own my Note P605 for about two years now and I rooted it immediately back then, using towelroot and an original 4.4.2 firmware. Several apps told me rooting the tablet worked and the knox-counter wasn't set off.
In the past two years I have not used root at all, because I didn't need it.
But I am now looking to finally upgrade to Android 5 and want to backup my apps, but Titanium Backup and SuperSU tell me that I no longer have root access.
I also can't upgrade to Android 5 via OTA, because "the operating system has been modified".
Basebandversion is P605ZSUCNE1, Build number is P605ZSUCNF1.
What is my best move here?
Thank you

You can upgrade to android 5 ( Samsung firmware) using Odin and system will be normal. However, you cannot root it without tripping Knox unlike firmware 4.4.2.

Re-root unrooted device (Meizu MX6)

Meizu MX6
Flyme 6.7.3.3G beta
Android version 6.0
My phone was rooted through the standard way - being logged in to Meizu Account.
I've did unroot with using of SuperSU app, and now the phone stuck in a strange mode. On one hand I have all "Developer options", I have "Root permissions" available, on other hand I have strange behaviour from different apps:
- FlashFire it says: "Root access could not be acquired. Are you rooted?"
- Root ToolCase it says: "Root required"
- KingRoot failing in rooting.
- System update says: "OTA updating not supported on rooted device."
Question is - what can I do to get back root in the device? Please help
Reason I doing it - want to install Flyme 7.0.0.1G with using of FlashFire, because OTA update doesn't work for me.
