[Q]Galaxy tab root without computer - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hello, I've tried some ways to to root my tab without computer( framaroot, gingerbreak, z4root) but they all was unable to root my device. z4root crashes during root process, gingerbreak showed me the rooted message for over 30 minutes so I closed it, and framaroot showed me that my device is rooted but after rebooting ther still was no root. I always had USB debugging enabled. So my question is: is there any other root method which works without a.computer?
Thanks for your help!!!

[Q] Rooting with z4root to delete bloatware

Hi guys. I know the Desire (UK, Orange) doesn't support permanent root with z4root as it is NAND locked, but some say it does support temporary root - when you reboot, you lose root. Does anyone have any info or experience on this?
All I would like to do is delete the Orange bloatware apps. But if I do this, will it cause problems with the next OTA update?
You can use VISIONary for temp root and apparently it works well for what you want to do. I've never used it though
Thanks. Will it screw up the OTAs if I remove the bloatware?
I've no idea, possibly
I tried visionary yesterday and it did give me root, however when i tried to uninstall bloatware it crashed and rebooted my phone

[Q] Improperly rooted

Need help...
I used Wug's root toolkit
After I rooted, I opened BusyBox and it said:
"There was a problem opening a shell with root acces. This is either being caused by superuser/supersu or by a device that is improperly rooted."
I tried root checker, and it says it's not properly rooted.
What can I do?
Factory reset and root with adb/fastboot like the way you should?

I have this problem, but repeating the process a second time fixes it.

[Q] CyanogenMod 11.0 didn't root... what now?

Hey guys, new to rooting and having a little bit of an issue. I recently rooted my phone successfully by using Kingo to root, CWM to backup, and installed CyanogenMod using their installer which worked like a charm. Then I attempted to root my wife's AT&T Galaxy SIII JUST using CM. Installed just fine, but didn't root her phone. I get the message "No SU binary installed" when I attempt to open SuperSU and have found that her phone is indeed not rooted. Why?
Well I did some research and found that some people had this same problem and just went to Dev options and activated root access from there, only problem is, I don't have that "root access" option in the Developer settings. (I have opened Dev options and looked through them 1000 times looking for anything related to root access. No luck.) So at this point I attempt to root the phone using Kingo as I did with my phone. This results in a perpetual "Downloading... Do not turn off target !!" message on the phone and Kingo "waiting for device..." on the Kingo app on the computer.
I've also been told that Super user access could be denied by KNOX but I have had no luck in removing KNOX by using all methods found online.
So... my question is, how do I successfully root her phone from here. I have looked everywhere on the internet for a solution to this problem, but can't seem to find an answer. For those of you who may be able to help:
Samsung ATT Galaxy S3
Ver. 4.4.2
CyanogenMod 11.0 d2att
Thanks for the support and I hope I can get this resolved soon.
EDIT: I resolved this issue by using the towelroot method

Can the last 4.4.3 update be rooted (D5303)?

Hey guys, I have a single chip D5303 running the latest 4.4.3 update but couldn't get it rooted with vRoot, tried many times and it installed some chinese app on the phone that is not the super user app, I used root checker to verify that it didn't work.
I just bought the phone and haven't touched it in any aspect yet.
Have you succeeded rooting this version?
Thanks!
Hey man,
Try towel root instead vroot
1.Install supersu
2.turn on developer mode
3.tick usb debugger
4.tick unkown sources(security)
Now try to root
Best of luck
