Meizu MX6
Flyme 6.7.3.3G beta
Android version 6.0
My phone was rooted through the standard way - being logged in to Meizu Account.
I've did unroot with using of SuperSU app, and now the phone stuck in a strange mode. On one hand I have all "Developer options", I have "Root permissions" available, on other hand I have strange behaviour from different apps:
- FlashFire it says: "Root access could not be acquired. Are you rooted?"
- Root ToolCase it says: "Root required"
- KingRoot failing in rooting.
- System update says: "OTA updating not supported on rooted device."
Question is - what can I do to get back root in the device? Please help
Reason I doing it - want to install Flyme 7.0.0.1G with using of FlashFire, because OTA update doesn't work for me.

Use kingroot. It will take numerous tries though.
Hi, I have a brand new, stock, unlocked, international version GT-I9195I, which I updated to Android 4.4.4 before attempting to root. I attempted to follow the instructions given here for root access. I didn't realize until just now that these instructions were for a slightly different model, the GT-I9195, not the GT-I9195I.
Two questions: first, have I done any harm by attempting to flash the GT-I9195 recovery onto my GT-I9195I? (It still boots and appears to work normally.) Second, where are the instructions to get root access for this particular model (Baseband version I9195IXXU1AOB1)? I found a thread here for installing TWRP but it doesn't seem to mention how to get root...
Use kingroot for rooting...just install the app and press root
Sorry for taking so long to reply. Thanks for the advice! Kingroot was successful on the second attempt at obtaining root access.
However, I do have a follow-up question. Can I install a superuser app like SuperSU, then uninstall kingroot, and still retain root access? Kingroot's Purify feature shut down my alarm clock app and some others I want to run at startup, and toggling apps in the "Auto-start" setting of kingroot seems to have no effect. I uninstalled Purify but it still interferes.
Yes, you need to use Super Sume: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=darkslide.com.supersumepro
Hi there!
First of all info about my device
Bootloader UNLOCKED via HTC Dev - OK
TWRP v3.2.3-0
SuperSU Free v.2.82-SR5
Android 7.0 - Sec. Patch Level April 1, 2017
MagiskManager-v5.8.3
I just want to 'hide' my root in order to play PoGo, Update some apks that won't, use my banking and payment apps, etc.
I followed an article to install MagisK on rooted devices, and everything went smooth till I was asked to 'download' / 'install from web' from the MagiskMgr. Gave me an error and never installed. Same result downloading the .zip and trying to flash it from TWRP. No f&%$#g way...
If ANY of you know a way of installing Magisk / making it install OK on such a device, I'd be more than grateful.
Thanks in advance,
J.

Anyone?
Hello!
I've bought Motorola Droid Mini where as seller said:
"This phone is permanently bootloader unlocked so you can flash any custom (or stock) ROM"
So he flashed LineageOS 13.0 ROM (Android 6.0.1)
Root Checker says that the device is not rooted. I never did custom ROM flashing myself but I thought one must root the device to unlock bootloader and flash custom ROM, no?
Any way, how to root this device?
Looks like I found the solution myself - while started to follow https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45598648#post45598648 I found out that I need to enable Developers options. After I did it, I was able to select "for ADB and apps" in Root access there (it was set to "None"). So I did not need to continue with the above instruction for using my Windows - Root Checker says now "device correctly rooted"
