Hi Friends,
Here is the solution to root your Micromax Canvas Magnus A117 with "framaroot" - a one-click rooting application.
Disclaimer: Please follow this guide at your own risk. I will not be liable if your device gets damaged or bricked during the process.
Procedure
Download Framaroot v1.6.0 from the XDA-Developers thread.
Transfer the APK file on your SD card and Install it on your android device.
Run the app, and if one or more exploit available for your device, it will be shown on the screen.
You will also see a menu on the screen that lets you decide whether you want to install Superuser or SuperSU after rooting, or unroot a device that’s already rooted.
Select either "Install Superuser" or "Install SuperSU" option as per your choice (I preferred SuperSU) and tap on the exploit "Boromir" (which is specifically for MTK devices) to start rooting your device with it. You will get a prompt telling you whether rooting was successful or not. If it failed, try one of the other available exploits.
Once you get the prompt that your device was successfully rooted, simply reboot the device.
Enjoy !!!!!
Thanks....
will try to follow...
I confirm - Its working!
Thanks a lot

The Fastest and The Easiest Rooting Method
My friend wanted to root his phone on the go, so he downloaded King Root and it sort of worked(explained later) but for the app he wanted to use he didn't have proper root access, his SU manager(Some Asian language) gave that app permissions but it won't work because it kept asking for root access. That's when I took over, i downloaded SuperSU and when i went on it i needed it said SU Binary needs to be updated, I went OK and chose normal installation(Didn't have TWRP), it didn't work so i downloaded TWRP Manager and installed in, surprisingly I had root access on it. TWRP was installed successfully, so I went back to install SU Binary through TWRP installation, it keeps failing, IDK why...
So i'm gonna properly root his phone following this video YOUTUBE: /watch?v=FOaRQoJWWDw (I'm new so can't post links)
So since i'm gonna be rooting it again, do I need to flash stock ROM onto his phone?
All answers will be appreciated.
Is the bootloader unlocked?
I only see one recent report of kingroot v4 working on the M8, and it was on KitKat: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/general/kingroot-rooting-app-t2913123/page4
For the most part, root apps don't work on HTC devices unless you unlock the bootloader. At which point, the root apps are pointless, as you can just install TWRP and flash SuperSU to root, or any other variety of methods.
Also, I don't recommend using the toolkit to root as suggested in the YouTube video. The toolkits are outdated, install obsolete versions of TWRP, which will cause other problems. If you are serious about rooting and modding the phone, the best way to go about that is to read and learn the proper way (not with root apps or toolkits). The "sticky" guide and FAQ threads at the top of this forum section, and top of the "General" M8 forum section are a good place to start.
For some strange reason (yes I know its very simple and obvious), I can't root my Nexus 20013. Its running Android 5.1.1, Build number LMY48G.
I followed the instructions here http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/ to the letter, was able to unlock the boot loader, however when I attempt to root it, it installs TWRP, but then for whatever reason it never actually roots the device.
I've been through the troubleshooting section of the program to un-install the ADB and USB drivers, re-installed them etc, but I can't get it rooted. It goes to TWRP, and when I try to install SUPERSU (after the device has booted back up), it just stops and says the device is not rooted.
When I try to flash a specific kernel (the Timur kernel as this tablet will be permanently installed in my car), using TWRP, it can't find the ZIP file even though I copied the file to the root folder.
Any suggestions on what to do next?
Based on some quick reading Android 5.1.1 (LMY48G) is an updated version of Android 5.1.1 (LMY47V)
I have the former and can't root my device with the Nexus Root Toolkit v2.0.5. Is there any other way to root my device? I've searched online and used a manual method using the command line with the ADB drivers, but still can't root it. What are my options here?
Hello!
I've bought Motorola Droid Mini where as seller said:
"This phone is permanently bootloader unlocked so you can flash any custom (or stock) ROM"
So he flashed LineageOS 13.0 ROM (Android 6.0.1)
Root Checker says that the device is not rooted. I never did custom ROM flashing myself but I thought one must root the device to unlock bootloader and flash custom ROM, no?
Any way, how to root this device?
Looks like I found the solution myself - while started to follow https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45598648#post45598648 I found out that I need to enable Developers options. After I did it, I was able to select "for ADB and apps" in Root access there (it was set to "None"). So I did not need to continue with the above instruction for using my Windows - Root Checker says now "device correctly rooted"
Meizu MX6
Flyme 6.7.3.3G beta
Android version 6.0
My phone was rooted through the standard way - being logged in to Meizu Account.
I've did unroot with using of SuperSU app, and now the phone stuck in a strange mode. On one hand I have all "Developer options", I have "Root permissions" available, on other hand I have strange behaviour from different apps:
- FlashFire it says: "Root access could not be acquired. Are you rooted?"
- Root ToolCase it says: "Root required"
- KingRoot failing in rooting.
- System update says: "OTA updating not supported on rooted device."
Question is - what can I do to get back root in the device? Please help
Reason I doing it - want to install Flyme 7.0.0.1G with using of FlashFire, because OTA update doesn't work for me.
