So I was working to install applications on my rooted 8.9'' when I encountered a problem. I was installing applications from the 1 Mobile Market app and now the normal applications are about 1/4 of the size they were on before I started installing new applications. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? It seems random whether some applications are changed or not.

Has anyone had any issues useing Exchange for Android AKA Touchdown? I have installed it and used it for about a week without any issues. Now for some reason it just locks up when updating. I can move around in the app but it never finishes updating. On the main screen you see the progress bar and it has stopped at a certain point. I have removed the app and reinstalled it but same issue.
I had some issues with the Google Play recently, so I followed the help-page advice to clear the 'cache' and 'data' from the market and downloader apps.
The issue is that upon entering one of the app's screens within settings/apps/all, it took about 5 minutes for it to calculate the file sizes/allocations. I can remember this taking seconds on my Desire.
Is this slow calculation of memory use etc. an issue with anyone else's phone or is it just mine?
i think i have the same issue i am running LeeDrOid at the moment perviously Android Revolution HD and i had a similar / same issue i think when you actually click on the app its self as in to remove or clear cache / data it takes ages to populate the sizes also when i have tried to remove some apps some installed from backup or play store and it just hangs in the uninstalling screen and never removes
Quite wiered but very frustrating
Hi everyone,
I have some issues with apps have moved to extsd. When I move an app, let's say Viber, which is auto-startup to extsd the particular app won't start automatically after restarting my device anymore unless I move it back to internal storage again! No gray icon issue and they work perfectly except the issue I just mentioned.
By the way, I'm using Android 4.3 on Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Is there anyone else who has faced this issue? Is there any solution for it?
Thanks
Regards
Kamyar

Not all apps work from extSD.... why are you moving viber? viber runs all the time to receive messages, this was not intended for apps like viber but for large games....
Hi all!
I've encountered weird problem on my international HTC One X.
After about 3 to 4 days of use my phone starts to get very slow and laggy on every menu and application. And when I open the applications menu, I see many programs which I've had earlier but have then deleted them (attached screencap showing what I'm talking about). If I click on any of those deleted 'ghost' apps, there's just message saying the app is not installed.
The problem goes away again for about 2-4 days when I reboot my phone.
Also the problem just started appearing all of a sudden, I didn't install any new app prior to this problem.
I have always had Avast antivir running in background, and I recently changed to F-Secure Safe. Both Avast and F-secure scans have never found any malicious software.
Anyone got any idea what is going on?
Software versions on my phone:
Android 4.2.2 (non-rooted)
HTC Sense 5.0
Software number 4.18.401.4
HTC SDK API 5.41
Solved
I happened to delete game Throne Rush, and the problem has not occurred anymore.
These are cached in your launcher.
Clean your HTC sense launcher cache.
Will solve the problem
Hi,
I have strange behaviour with the latest update to Android 9 (as well as with the security patches from Dec as well as with the latest one of January):
If I'm on mobile data I get messages/emails from Signals and gmail only after opening the app manually. I already checked that the apps are not battery optimized and are allowed to use background data. Does anybody else also facing this issue? Which settings am I missing to change?
Furthermore I have an even more strange issue with working profile: I'm running whatsapp in working profile, it does not work on mobile data at all (even not if I open it manually). Access to internet works in working profile (e.g. chrome), but I can neither send nor receive messages on mobile data. Does any background app also needs to be not battery optimized ?
Argh, finally I got it. Resetting the apn settings solved the problem, see https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/help/mobile-data-issue-pie-update-t3884664
