Hi all!
I've encountered weird problem on my international HTC One X.
After about 3 to 4 days of use my phone starts to get very slow and laggy on every menu and application. And when I open the applications menu, I see many programs which I've had earlier but have then deleted them (attached screencap showing what I'm talking about). If I click on any of those deleted 'ghost' apps, there's just message saying the app is not installed.
The problem goes away again for about 2-4 days when I reboot my phone.
Also the problem just started appearing all of a sudden, I didn't install any new app prior to this problem.
I have always had Avast antivir running in background, and I recently changed to F-Secure Safe. Both Avast and F-secure scans have never found any malicious software.
Anyone got any idea what is going on?
Software versions on my phone:
Android 4.2.2 (non-rooted)
HTC Sense 5.0
Software number 4.18.401.4
HTC SDK API 5.41
Solved
I happened to delete game Throne Rush, and the problem has not occurred anymore.
These are cached in your launcher.
Clean your HTC sense launcher cache.
Will solve the problem

since updating to 2.10.405.2 stock firmware the friend stream widget hangs showing updating on the bottom bar. some times it show new posts other time it does not , seems only to be when manually updating / refreshing.
resting the phone / force closing the widget or removing it and re adding, when it reloads it show all posts and time when updated.
I have tried stopping the services and clearing the data/cash without success.
does anyone has any suggestions?
when this happened to me it was actually a problem with facebook/twitter
if you have the actual apps you might want to check if you've entered the right usernames/passwords etc
if it was working when you first installed the system then a hard reset would fix the problem, meaning either your information is incorrect or even when you reset you re-created the problem.
thanks. i can log in to facebook and twitter no problems and go in to the friend stream app, its only a problem with the widget.
Since i've started my adventure with Desire I have problem with Friendstream widget. It updates itself when it wants and never when I want it. Sometimes it is stuck for 2 days.

Has anyone had any issues useing Exchange for Android AKA Touchdown? I have installed it and used it for about a week without any issues. Now for some reason it just locks up when updating. I can move around in the app but it never finishes updating. On the main screen you see the progress bar and it has stopped at a certain point. I have removed the app and reinstalled it but same issue.
Hi guys I have two weird things happening on my device.
1. When I use the multitasker, it shows the maps apps with the icon but the actual screenshot is blank. Like it was accessed in the background.
2. I had downloaded the getjar app from the site, but found it a hassle and the apps that I wanted were not updated so I deleted it entirely from my device. But just a couple of minutes ago I received a download that said getjar.apk. When I checked on the downloads icon it showed the download but I DID NOT install I just deleted it. It was around 122kb download.
Any guesses at what it maybe? I'm running stock 4.0.2 but rooted GSM Nexus.

Click to collapse
Normal. The Maps app regularly pops up in the background for a second, but incorrectly gets put in the multitasking menu. Wouldn't be worried about it.
Anyone know about the getjar.apk downloading issue? It just happened again.
Hey there,
as of this morning, phone and contacts appear on my startscreen no longer with their usual icon but with a green android one.
Once I click on either of them, I immediately get the error "App isn't installed". Also, neither of the two apps can be found in the app drawer any more.
Moreover, the SMS app still shows up with its standard icon. However, when trying to open it, it immediately quits unexpectedly.
Before I noticed these errors, I installed an update for avast anti theft. I'm not sure if this is connected to the problem though.
I already tried rebooting, clearing the two apps' caches in the system's app settings and restoring phone and contacts app from a titanium backup (apps only, not the settings). None of these helped.
My phone is a rooted gnex with stock 4.1.1.
Any help will be highly appreciated!
Cheers

Nevermind... I went out of patience and flashed a CWM backup (which was kind of annoying since it was from back in June and thus really outdated...).
It's working again now. Still no idea where the error came from.

Hi all,
Since yesterday, my Viber constantly crashes. It openes for like 2-3 seconds, and then it force closes.
So far, I've tried restarting the phone, moving app to SD card, uninstalling and installing, downgrading to previous version, but no luck.
So I'm running latest Viber app, there are also no software updates for ROM (I'm running original ROM, phone is not rooted.)
When I go to running apps in developer options, it just says restarting, 0 processes and 2 services (voipService and AccountAuthenticatorService).
Also, when I go to settings, where is no Viber account to sync, I try to add it, but the account is not there.
I did not install any new apps recently.
I've created issue for Viber support, but honestly it looks that they are reaaaaly slow.
Does anybody have any idea, what is causing this, and how to fix it?
Thx,
Predrag
