CWM wont find zip

Hey guys
I wanted to update my rom before, never had any problems in the past. I have flashed many roms.
I flashed a new hboot (cm7r1, worked fine) but when i go to CWM to select the rom zip, no files are found.
I have re formatted my sd etc, the computer see's the zip file but the phone wont
Anyone?
Thanks
Do you search for zip via normal flash from SD card or via the update.zip-method?
Have you tried re-flashing CWM via ROM Manager ?

@OP: DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER! It's a horrible software which causes more problems than it solves.
A re-flash might help, but then do it via fastboot (according to your signature you are S-OFF, so you can use fastboot).
thanks guys
managed to sort it by wiping the sd through cwm
getting a new 16gb card today anyway
thanks for the help

Yes, you can flash that rom.
If your PC cannot see your M8 your out of luck with ADB. But just download the rom zip to a microSD, insert it, boot to TWRP and flash it. The microSD has to be fat32 for TWRP to read it.

/data/media/0? Isn't that internal SD? How did you get it there?
You should be able to flash it from the microSD by navigating to it under the Install menu in TWRP.
Mhhh, can you mount/unmount system and data in TWRP?

yes it is the internal, shouldn't it be there? I found the file there by following the tutorial about ADB that you sent me. Can I just install it from the microSD?

[Q] Replace CWN with TWRP

Stupid question time (sorry), but I may already know the answer!
I have CWN recovery installed, but a couple of Roms I fancy trying say they need TWRP. Is it as simple as copying TWRP zip to SD card and then flashing with CWM? Would this then remove CWN?
Thanks in advance
You are correct.
Thank you Sir (I did hit 'thanks' also!)

You don't flash TWRP or CWM via zips. They are img files. You either flash them via fastboot from PC or you can you use an app like flashify after putting the img file on your SD card. Once you flash either of them, the other one gets automatically replaced
Or install flash image gui.
Thanks to the both of you - going to try using flashify now

[HELP] Unbrick HTC One X

Hey guys,
I need help unbricking my HTC One X. I was trying to set up CM11 on it but I used CWM Recovery 5.0.8 instead of 6.0.4 that it requires. I managed to remove the stock OS and now it only loads bootloader or cwm recovery.
I downloaded the stock ROM and I'm now trying to install that via recovery. This is what I've been trying to send the file to the HOX -
I've been trying to use ADB to transfer files to the device but the device can't be found (List of devices shows up blank). However, it shows up in fastboot.
I tried connecting a USB OTG to it but I can't seem to find any option to install from external USB. I tried to mount USB but it gives me an error - E:Unable to open ums lunfile.
I tried running an RUU but that didn't work either.
I'm thinking that once I can see the stock ROM file through CWM recovery, it should be easy enough to install that. So what should I be doing to get the file onto the HOX or what other approach can I use?
Will help me out a lot!
Thanks!

Thanks a ton! I managed to flash CWM 6.0.4.8 on it and then I installed CM11 and then the GAPPS. The installation went through fine and I can finally see the CM load screen. However, I think I'm stuck in some sort of bootloop since it doesn't seem to get past the loading screen.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Things are looking up!

Bootloop after flashing TWRP, CM13

I'm (or rather, was) on CM13 nightly, today I downloaded TWRP through Flashify and flashed it, previously I was using Philz Touch, now I have a bootloop. I just had a bootloop a few days ago and had to install everything over again, and I really don't feel like doing it again. What can I do?

Can you enter the recovery mode? And if so I would recommend reflashing everything, that usually helps xD

Yes I can, but I reeeeeally don't feel like going back to stock AGAIN, I was thinking maybe flashing CyanogenMod Recovery would help fix the issue since TWRP is apparently not compatible with Marshmallow, the problem is I can't get my PC to recognize my phone in fastboot mode therefore I can't flash the new recovery. Any ideas?

Why didn't you backup your data? Always backup your data! Moreover, put the image to flash on your sd card

Wipe as usual, then in TWRP go to mount and choose external_sd, after that navigate up until you find the folder external_sd and load from there
You don't need to go back to stock. If you can enter recovery, you can wipe system (only) and dirty flash your cm13 over it. It usually works and dont lose your personal files nor installed apps. If it don't, do a full wipe and flash your rom again.
