New ROM Suggestions Please! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

New Note 2 user here, and I'm looking to get off tghe stock ROM because even after manually debloating.. its still laggy and awful much like my S3 used to be.
Any suggestions is welcome here! I am on 4.3 OTA official so anything that doesn't require too much work until i can get deeper into this would be awesome haha just looking for a simple Download, Flash, and be done!
Thanks guys!

There's plenty of those in the development section. I'm using Skynote AIR 4.3 with zero issues.

Thanks! i was reading on some articles for flashing that if you were on 4.3 there were modem flashing, baseband issues etc that could cause bricking. But thanks for the rom, downlaoding it now!

We can use the at&t the cm10 ROM.
G●Note~2 {Jedi X5}
Can we flash all of the AT&T ROMS on our T mobile Note2? If we flash AT&T Roms on our device do we need to do anything special, flash separate Kernel or modem? Will my build prop need to be changed back to t889 or anything like that? AT&T development has a lot more than we do. Would be awesome if we can use the ROMS from those forums it would be awesome.

You'd have to make sure that the ROM has no modem included (mostly an issue for Odin images) or separate it if so. (Extract system.img from tar, repack, ideally with Cygwin.)
Your build.prop, being on the /system partition would need some work to get it back to T889 values.

all of that just went over my head
Then you might not want to flash AT&T ROMs. Understanding is very important when dabbling in flashing, especially off carrier builds.
Learn more, read up, then flash with confidence that what you are doing is safe.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
I'm using madmack's 12-13 build of CM10. It's working perfectly for me... everything works. It's very stable. His ROM is in the "original" development section of the AT&T Note 2 forums. Just flash it along with JB gapps. He has also started working on CM10.1, but not everything is working.
EDIT: I have not tried mounting to my PC yet.

Latest comment rooted stock rom / modem?

Unfortunately I haven't had the time to keep up with the XDA forums. Would someone please be so kind as to give me links to a current and stable rooted stock rom and modem images?
Preferably something I can flash directly from TWRP.
I'm still running a JC rom with J1 baseband, so it's really well past time to update.
There are so many posts out there, I'm a bit confused as to what is current and stable. My apologies in advance, if missed a current post that covers (admittedly likely).
I have a 64G SD card, so I'd need a stock kernel or a kernel that supports exfat.
Thanks in advance!

I would go with Digiblur ROM.
Awesome. I found the t3project rom by looking up the digiblur rom. This is precisely what I'm looking for.
I'll probably flash digiblur on top, since it loos like it packages the essential mods.
Thanks for your help!

[Q] Question about firmware

Hi, this is my first post here and I've done some searching and I've got confused with the firmware names between stock and original.
Currently I have a T-mobile 4.1.1 baseband T889UVALL4 with T-mobile firmware.
What I am trying to understand and do is change from t-mobile firmware as it has t-mobile apps to a samsung firmware and their apps /non t-mobile apps.
Is this something possible? Where can I find these firmwares and what is the latest version?
Thanks & regards
First off welcome..Why dont u give tweaked a try. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2242972 Its the only rom I use on my phone.. You have the ability on install to choose the amount of bloat u want and it's super customizable....... as for the international roms be mindful they don't have wifi calling

Look up teshxx in the development section he has stock samsung roms. Keep scrolling the different roms til you find the latest updated one, cause he have quite a few posted. If you ever want to try a custom rom, try Jedi x14 by ptmr3 which is great.

What is the difference between factory and stock image?
Ive seen the topic where it has all images for t889 but I cannot distinguish what are those.
If I want to have a samsung only firmware on my t889 , what king of file should I be looking for?
Tks
Anyone? Any place I should look?

Hi, thanks for your help. What I am looking for is remove anything related to T-MOBILE from my phone, so it looks like the Samsung Firmware without T-Mobile apps, in order words, to look like the international Samsung Galaxy Note 2, unbranded.
How can I do this? What is odexed/deodexed btw?

Hi deeznutz1977 thanks for your help.
From what I could read, a ROM is something you put on top of the firmware.
Is there anyway to put a Samsung firmware from scratch without those T-Mobile brand on the SGH-T889?
So it would be a brand new firmware, no ROMS or t-mobile apps.
Thanks for you help and patience.
Best Regards

Official 4.4.2 ROM from Samsung - i9505 (Snapdragon 600)

I am one of those who are looking forward to get "Official Samsung" ROM on my M919 ASAP.
It is not that I don't like custom ROM's. I have had car bluetooth issues with custom Kitkat. Also I use S-View a lot....something that is not possible out of box in Custom Kitkat.
I found a 4.4.2 Official ROM has been released in Europe for snapdragon 600 processors (i9505)
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/install-of...t-update-galaxy-s4-lte-snapdragon-600-1437696
I never developed Custom ROM's before. My experience stays with flashing ROM's.
Would appreciate any tips or help to install a official samsung 4.4.2 on my T-Mobile M919.
I just can't wait few more weeks for a official ROM from T-Mobile. I think I can, because I got you guys
Thanks, Ari
Hammer coming down in 3....2....1....
You should lurk in the 9505 forums. Devs there should have one available soon. Usually can be flashed fight to our phones once they make it a flashable zip

i9505 - Compatibility with M919
Thank you for the Golden Eye ROM link.
Is it fine to flash it in M919? I know they have a common processor.
Not sure if it is safe to try.
Thanks, Ari
i9505 and m919 are as close as identical as you can get. btw this is Q&A
Does this version still retain the same issues on our phone such as Wi-Fi, storage, and security settings?

Looks like you have a custom Kernel on your M919. Let me know what it is. Can it be used in 4.4.2?
If anyone flashes Goldeneye, would you kindly post your experience. Does it work? Your specific steps to get it working? I don't use Bluetooth, but my issue is the camcorder performance on non Touchwiz roms. I think this thread will probably be moved to Q&A so I'll check back there. Wish there were a thread over there dealing with flashing other carriers' roms. I'd try it if I knew it worked out well for others.

Yes, I've read that guide before but somehow it seems vague. It doesn't specify the Rom version tested, the exact kernel tested, and the info might be outdated. The link to Goldeneye for the T-Mobile S4 is a link to a closed thread that apparently used to be on the T-Mobile GS4 Android Development forum. But thanks anyway :good:
Ok OP, I looked everywhere, where is the link to your ROM!?
Oh, that's right, another case of not reading before posting - itus

Try WanamLite. He just updated his ROM to 4.4 too. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283194
I would think you would need their bootloader to run any of these roms. I hope I am wrong but I will wait for someone to try it first.
I am running Wananlite. It works.

Try typing that same exact phrase into the search bar "flash other carrier's roms" in either General or Q&A and be amazed.
Could not flash. Failed.

Non-T-Mobile ROMs lack Wifi Calling, just an fyi if you depend on it on your house like I do.

Looking for Kit Kit stock/rooted/customer recovery

I have been looking around, but seem to not be able to run across what I am looking for, or am getting confused by terms/titles, or perhaps it is not out yet.....
My S3 is currently "mostly" stock, rooted, with custom recovery on build 4.1.1
I am looking to move to a fully stock build, with Android Kit Kat, just with root and a custom recovery.
There used to be all in ones that I used with Odin to get to this point, but it seems the process has changed.
Anyone able to help out and point me to a thread that would contain info on loading the latest build for the Sprint S3, that would leave the phone fully stock, but with both root and custom recovery. (not concerned with data backups)
I am pretty familiar with Odin and flashing, just seem to have been out of the loop long enough for the process to be a bit different.
Basically, I am looking for the Kit Kat version of THIS process ( [STOCK ROM] Stock 4.3 MK3 ROM [ROOTED/UNROOTED]), or confirmation that it is not yet available, so I know to just move ahead with the 4.3 build I linked to above.
If u want 4.4.2 (not sure why u would want 4.3) just go here

Read through the first post completely, and u should be good to go....
