Question:
A Firmware recover update via KIES cand modify IMEI??
What happened:
I had a corrupted OS showing messages like failed to mount data ... efs, invalid argument and stuff.
So I used KIES to recover it and now my IMEI has changed to a generic 004999010640000 / 04
How can I solve this situation?

HI
I have a Samsung galaxy tab 3 lite SM-T111 and the tab had a problem about /efs invalid argument.
i was tried to fixed it already by install twrp recovery and the efs is worked but after i flashed back to stock firmware THL-T111XXUANB2 after pass on odin it suddenly showed
E: /system invalid
/cache invaild argument
then switch off automatically.
Now my device is stuck on factory mode only and even i tried to firmware restore by odin it shows nand write start failed. I tried to restored with pit file also it let pit file pass but when it started to flash firmware it failed on nand write start!

i was playing the qpst tool and my imei and meid is gone, it seems like my qpst version is old to write imei to the mi6. but now i can not recover it to its original state. what should i do?
if i copy sdf and sde blocks back to the phone, will it fix it, or should i rewrite qcn file with the qpst tool (qcn file can also be corrupted because of the wrong version qpst tool).
i need to rewrite imei, meid to recover the phone. is there any other tool for it?
Bro, use QPST 460 ver. First dd modemst1, modemst2 and fsg partitions, restart the phone, then restore this xqcn: mega.nz/#!vQ1zyART!bXiW0JY1RGWRdHRZZGo4toUOSZiVqEJjMUdyrI8u97Q

Any solution ?
Hint* if you try to flash with Mi FLASH PRO tool in recovery mode it will read IMEI from the phone !!
So IMEI is still written on the phone but where and how to recover back ?!
Hi all !
So IMEI, Baseband unknown and MAC address is gone.
No any backup of it !
Have unlocked bootloader, twrp, xiaomieu rom and phone is rooted.
Following "web find" solutions when tried to backup or restore qcn with QPST (v. 2.7 474)
only getting:
"Memory backup failed"
"Disk error writing to file"
When tried to "dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/sde 34 (sdf4, sdf5)
getting "no space left on device"
(no sense, only trying to wipe, not to write anything)
Also tried the same through terminal on twrp and getting same no space error !
Any idea why, or any other way to recover Imei ?
Thanks !!!!

Hi, my oneplus 5t suddenly lost the baseband information and imei, results show null baseband and unknown imei. I don't have twrp backup so is there any solution of this problem? Thanknyoubin advance
Try to flash modem "fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin" (Non-hlos.bin you can get in the FullRom zip, path: Rom.zip/firmware update) or flash full firmware from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3728665, finaly you can use unbrick tool. If this can not solve your problem, you will need to wtite your IMEI and MEID manualy (find instructions by google).
Just wanted to add my 2c to this:
Had the same problem (no mobile data, nor Wifi, no IMEI). Was able to locate an old TWRP backup and copy that to my phone via TWRP and restore JUST the EFS partition. After that, everything worked

Shouldn't be, at least not from that, not completely.
Was this the first condition, or an added problem?
I think best thing to try is the service ROM.
This one is BND-L21C432..
Service rom BND-L21C432
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=11050483647474828964
1. Unzip download
2. copy the dload folder to root of sdcard
3. power on phone holding all three buttons
4. After phone finishes and reboots, unlock frp and bootloader, if needed
5. Use Huru or HWOTA to flash correct firmware for your model/ region.. If this is not the correct version for your honor 7x
Now with dc phoenix i have restore the fastboot and the erecovery, i can flash all i want but nothing happens, just boot loop at "your phone is not trusted" screen.
I was on catuva's rom before brick and now i have the catuva splashboot screen even after full firmware retore by dc phoenix.
When i try to flash in twrp i see lot of errors related to partition table (invalid argument cust, odm, sytsem etc) it seems the partition table have a problem..
The DLOAD can restore this ?
When i try to restore via dload it stuck at 5% and it says "software install failed!" ..
Someone Help me ?..

Says in the install guide for it, you must be running at newest security patch in order to install elemental.
Please focus on one thing. Getting phone to boot full stock first before trying other rom. You are going to hard brck your phon if you keep doing flashes when the stock fails to install

I am not understanding how you say you follow my guide, then post the error.
This error shows you are trying to install ota update with TWRP.
My guide sets you to install ota update file with a modified stock recovery (no-check).
If you are having trouble because of bad translation, please do not assume what you need to do and wait for proper help and translation

I am suddenly faced with glitching on splash screen, while the SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB displays when you switch on, it dims a bit, glitches ( shows lines on the screen ) and reboots continuously. I have reflashed stock firmware, cleared cache and wiped everything with no results. On TWRP recovery, the device works with no problem. I am currently charging it to 100% since I've heard it can be battery related.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards to all.
in recovery, connect USB cable and do from PC:
adb shell cat /proc/last_kmsg > last_kmsg.txt

Your EFS filesystem is corrupted, causing a reboot. You must try nandroid backuping it as is and extract all the data you can from it.

Found this EFS-Fix-regalstreak.tar.md5, to flash with Odin for currupted EFS.

Probably not, but send me your EFS backup in PM - I can try restoring tge useful info from it and send you back the tar file and instructions.

As you said, the files mentioned didn't fix the problem. I managed to solve this however. I was flashing a single file stock firmware containing only the AP file. I tried another firmware containing AP, BL and CSC files with ODIN and booted without problems. Does the BL and CSC have anything to do with the corrupted EFS ?

BL is BootLoader aka S-BOOT. Usually, if this one becomes corrupted, your only option is to replace the NAND flash and flash the correct BL with JIG. Luckily this is not the case.
CSC is the carrier related info. Since you have T800, flashing this may have fixed the problem. Now chevk your device serial number in About Phone settings.

Still not botting fully.
In recovery now i'm getting failed to mount /efs (invalid argument)
The firmware I flashed was missing the CP file.

This is a dying NAND flash. Given that TWRP dumps efs as raw image, this is not a just filesystem issue.
I told you what to do in PM.
FIXED !
Followed the below guide, creates a generic EFS folder and then install an stock firmware.....ta daaaaaaaaa !!
