Need Microsoft Lync on my Note 10.1. Android market says device not compatible. This is essential for work. Is there a way to side load it?
I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1860950&d=1365187632 give it a try.
I if ya mean https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ync15&hl=en&rdid=com.microsoft.office.lync15I can install it in my device without problem , this is weird
Have you tried sideloading it?
Edit: Nevermind, I see that someone above me has already posted an apk.

My Galaxy S3 shows up and it installs fine. The Note is greyed out. Says this app is compatible with some of your devices. Are you using the 600?

OK, best way is download the latest to your phone, make a backup of the app, then restore it back on your tablet.

Will try that. I have Titanium Backup on my phone, I assume I can export the .apk from there? The Note is not rooted, but I installed the last one posted via Dropbox, so that should work again.

It is here, so yes, follow the instructions. I haven't actually installed the app but it is available in the market. Try clearing the Framework too, then Market, then reboot. Let me know if that helps and I'll update the instructions.

Tried as well, no go for me either.
Must be something else that has to "reset"
, my stock rooted N7 had this and I can install this app from the market.
This rooting technique Finally worked you will need three files
1) SDK TOOLS from
2) recovery.img from
3)MRKREHANROOT from
you should have unlock boot loaders USB drivers installed and should be on android 4.3
copy mrkrehanrehanroot3.1.zip in sdcard
be in fastboot mode ie switch off your device and hold both volume up and down and power button together and keep your device connected to PC
Extract the sdktools and place the revovery.img in that folder
then with one finger on shift key right click in an empty space in the folder and select open command window here
then type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
it will flash recovery to your device
in recovery no need wipe anything install the zip mrkrehanroot3.1.zip
and reboot
download any app that requires root access and check for example root explorer
it should ask root acess
in this way you have rooted your device
Keep the thanks rolling and follow me on

I use that method, cannot restore any app with TB or install Busybox, for some reason it's root but not completely.
This thread shouldn't be in dev section, and there were bunch of root method threads/posts that could be easily found.

Titanium Backup is an example of such an app. It may incorrectly detect the path to your internal storage for backups, and thus crash on backup/restore. You can fix this by going into preferences and selecting a folder under /storage/emulated/legacy as backup/restore path, not under /storage/emulated/0.

I'm still working on installing the Gapps but earlier the S pen functions did not work.
No S-Pen functions work on CM11. You will need to get some apps from the play store to restore that functionality.
Due to family issues and major unfortunate changes in our home/life I no longer have time to work on free software. This project is discontinued until further notice. If you have re-hosted/mirrored/uploaded my software elsewhere please remove it.
Thanks.

Very nice work!!!
However, I can't seem to get the wifi hotspot to work I am rooted (via towelroot and verified). I enable it via your app, go to setting and wifi hotspot. Then a dialog pops up asking me to subscribe? I have S5 with Sprint running stock 4.4.2.
Thoughts?

Hi,
First reboot phone once and see if subscription nag pops up again, if so see below:
Do me a favor (I would appreciate it) Click restore via HFA, let the phone reboot and finish HFA(you won't lose any data promise)
With a file explorer navigate to data/data/com.android.porviders.telephony/databases/telephony.db
pm me this file or post it here (no unique data in it so no worries)
I will get you all sorted out.
Thanks

Sorry to have wasted your time with a reply. It seems that a reboot did fix the issue as I was able to start the Hotspot now and the nag dialog doesn't appear.
Thanks again for your help and you effort in creating this great set of tools!

Yes the phone keeps the old apn settings in memory untill another one is loaded(switch from 3g to lte or a manual switch or, of course, a reboot)
Awesome! Glad you're sorted out.

It absolutely did with TDunham's DeOdexed version.
Obtained root using tdunham [STOCK ROM][4.4.4] NK4 Kitkat ROM DeOdexed. Followed all the instructions on that thread. Im using TWRP recovery.
Downloaded Galaxy Tools from the play store. Says Galaxy Tools v2.2.0. su: Using: 2.13:SUPERSU
I click on "Enable Native Hotspot" and the phone restarts. I go back into the GT app and click on Wifi Hotspot settings and turn the hotspot on. Everytime I do this I get a pop up that says I am not subscribed.
I have uninstalled the GT app and reinstalled. Cleared all data for SU app. No matter what I do I always get the pop up saying I am not subscribed.
Any suggestion?

Maybe try uninstall su app, enable hotspot, then reinstall su app again after hotspot is working.
idone said:

After disabling SU (cant uninstall, there is no option to. Guessing since it is built into the ROM) I go into the GT app and click Enable hotspot and it says IOException.

Not sure, sorry, I made this for all stock galaxy devices, and it works on all of their official software versions(at least S3 through Note 4/Edge). I cannot say how it will work on custom roms because people change whatever they want in them. On stock everything would work as it should.

You're not stock, your deodexed, which is why it is failing. You need to be stock rooted. Why don't you Odin nk4, then root it.

Is there any way to make the app think that the Note is not rooted?
