Is there any kernels for overclocking this phone running CM10.0? I've found a bunch that are OC'ed to 1.8 or 2.0 Ghz for 4.2 and 4.3, I've found one for the same OC for 4.1.2 STOCK ONLY. I would just flash CM10.2 but it boot loops, no matter what I try, with dozens of suggestions from many awesome people here at XDA, I just haven't had any luck getting it to not boot loop? If any body knows of a kernel that can push me past 1.5Ghz on CM10.0 let me know please!

Hey guys so I am pretty new to rooting and am trying to put the KT747 kernel with FrostyJB_4.1.1-v4. there is a link in the FrostyJB_4.1.1-v4 thread for the kernel but I am not sure which one to use. FrostyJB_4.1.1-v4 works for me but when trying to flash kt747 when rebooting I just get the Samsung galaxy sIII screen and it won't go past it. I can fix it but any help here?
Any ideas?
How did you fix it? You might want to redownload and check md5. You could have had a bad download.

Try downloading the latest kernel from the Ktoonz thread. Just make sure its the Touchwiz Jellybean kernel. Shoud have "JB" and "TW" in the file name

well using this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1871946 it says it does not work with l17 or greater? I tried flashing it but kttweaker just crashes and its restarted my phone a couple of times.
Should I just put frosty jelly bean m3 on and then do it or ?
Use frosty v4. Make sure tou have the ktoonz tw jb kernel. Flash rom go through the setup. Reboot to recovery flash ktoonz wipe cache/dalvik then fix permissions. Reboot download setcpu or any cpu tuner open it first change min/max then open ktweaker otherwise tou will get force close on ktweaker. After opening ktweaker uninstall the other. Should work for ya.

on this same matter, i am running Frosty JB v7 on my phone, and everytime i try flashing ktoons, my phone refuses to boot after install. It shows the initial "Samsung Galaxy s III" then screen goes dark, and instead of doing the animation and showing the samsung logo, it stays on a dark screen and i hear the sound, but no image ever comes up on the screen. After a few seconds the back and menu buttons light up and stay like that. nothing else happens.
I would really appreciate if anyone can help.
I flashed it using CWM recovery and cleared Cache and Dalvik after flashing, and then fixed permissions.
and i Used the TouchWiz kernel for JB found here:

Frosty is based on l6-l7. The older ktoonz kernels work. The new ones are based on the source for li8. There is a link in the frosty thread for one of the older kernels if you search for it

Thank you, with that older version now everything is going well so far. I had a few force closes on xda when trying to reply you, but clearing app data and cache and reinstalling did the trick. Onto long term experience now to see how everything goes o/

Works on all AOSP JB and ICS roms as stated in the original post lol
I have tried multiple ROMs with latest Ktoonsez and BMS kernel but the kernels I flash cause graphical and stability issues even though stock kernel works fine on the ROM using liquid smooth rc2 and Pacman ROM. Any help would be appreciated.

Try Leankernel. Tell me what ROM you are using and what version of the kernel you choose.
Lean kernel worked for me but the other kernels were working for me before on the previous versions of the kernel so I don't know why the new ktoonsez kernel is lagging for me

After rooting my new galaxy s3 I'm having some issues with the custom kernel installation. I've tried wiping dalvik and cache after installing rom and then following through with the kernel installation and then repeat the wipe process. Without custom kernel installation the ROM works just fine. The problem I'm having is after kernel installation, the phone will not complete the boot process. It freezes at the "Samsung Galaxy S III" screen and doesn't go any further. Sometimes it makes it to the boot animation for cm10.1. I'm running the 4/10 update for the cm10.1 nightlies. Trying to install the ktoonz kernel for JB 4.2.1 made for the cm 10.1 build. Can't figure out why I'm having issues. Any idea what's wrong?
I believe there are two different types of kernels: those based off of 3.0 and those based on 3.4.
Check the working CM 10.1 kernel. It should start with either 3.0 or 3.4. Make sure the custom kernel you're trying to install is the same. Some kernels haven't been updated to 3.4 yet, and installing the wrong kernel will result in a bootloop.

Thanks a lot. I never would have noticed that. I just upgraded from the Evo 4G this week. Ran it stock since last Saturday. Decided to root today and am still a little new to the jellybean OS.

No worries, this 3.0 vs 3.4 thing just came up about 3 weeks ago and I was just add confused as anyone else about it. Welcome to the d2spr community!

Glad to be a part of it. Its a nice upgrade from the OG evo but I can tell I'll miss some of the qualities of gingerbread.
