[Q] T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy s2 T989 ROMS. Help? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

I plan on upgrading my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2 T989 to KitKat 4.4 but I have no idea which rom to go with.
There are quite a few out there; Beanstalk rom, hellkat, omni, paranoid, slimkat etc. There may be more, I don't remember...
Can anyone give me any suggestions on which ROM is the best one to go with? In terms of stability, battery life, least amount of bugs for this device, what would you recommend?? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Wrong forum, belongs here. I've asked mods to move your thread, sit tight until they do.

Sorry, best is in the eye of the beholder, members are expected to try the products and interact with the developers in the ROM threads to make this determination.

HELP! I need a recommendation!

Just bought a ATT Galaxy S3 SGH-I747
I am looking for a recommendation for a rom with a focus on High Performance/Battery Life.
I would like it to be clean of junkware and as close to stock android as possible. Can you guys help me out. The sheer amount of variety available on here is making my head spin!
Any Dummy Guides you could point me too would also be greatly appreciated. I am familiar with the process but I came from a Xperia Play where it was much easier to keep track of the roms that fit my needs.
Sir, recommendations are not going to help you...due to so many variables from one user to another, best bet is read the threads for ROMs here if you are looking for stock:http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1633 , btw you will see lots of clean ROMs some have been cleaned more than others. This is due to the makers/OPs of these ROMs set their ROM to their liking, as stated just read and read, then flash and test the ROMs of stockish you are looking for...it may seem like it is overwhelming but this why I say do your homework the flash.
Good Luck, and do not go by other recommendations go by your own experience. And as for as "dummy guides" the OPs of these ROMs are very detailed. Thanks and Happy Flashing.

[Q] Closest ROM to CodenameAndroid

Hi,
I have been running and old ROM, CodenameAndroid, for a while now and decided I should probably upgrade. What ROM currently is equal, if not better, in features in comparison to this ROM? I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus. Thanks!

Hello
'Best ROM' threads are really useless. This is because, you're asking for people's opinions, opinions vary from person to person - so you're really asking, 'what rom do you like'. Not really what ROM is best. Just take a look in the Android development sections (Don't post this there either...) And have a browse through all the ROM's, have a look at the changelogs, see what ROM's have the features you'd like etc.

[Q] Stable TW Rom?

Hey guys, I come from the D2VZW forums, but I just got my girlfriend a D2ATT and we'll be moving her over to straight talk. Are there any mostly stock (Debloated mostly) roms that are REALLY stable? I've been looking around and S3Rx 2.2 looks promising, but I'm wanting opinions as well.
My girlfriend isn't into root related stuff, so I just want to put her on something reliable and leave it until we get updates to 4.2.2.. Nothing flashy required, as stability is the most important issue.
Let me know what you guys suggest.
Thanks
"Stable" is really a subjective term and is based on your use and usage. Users are expected to read, study and make this determination based on that.

I would recommend Wicked v7 Custom rom, it has all the bells and whistles which make a rom and the phone so great.
It's fast, smooth, lag free and everything a custom rom should be. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed........
Here is the link for the Wicked v7 custom rom for the M919 Tmobile Samsung Galaxy S4 phone:

They frown I comparing ROMs and staying debates over which is better - and just asking what people like is a little silly. What do you WANT? A stock Touch Wiz experience with all the Samsung and T-Mobile bells and whistles? Stock android? Simple and uncomplicated? Super-configurable? Highly optimized for performance, or battery life, or storage space?
I'd love to see a thread with links to the appropriate ROM thread and a Twitter-sized expansion if what's unique and noteworthy about the ROM (probably written by the dev), so there's a simple place to start comparing.

Try BeanStalk and your TW worries are over
I recommend the ROM that you like best.
I have used Wicked, Infamous, and ALPHA. I personally prefer Alpha as it's an international base which is updated more regularly than t-mobile is.
dont u guys read the rules... ... this thread will probably be locked soon..

Best ROM threads are very subjective, dependent on many different criteria.
I have a strange feeling that this Best ROM thread will go the way of all the other Best ROM theads.......Locked
What I have done is looked through the past 50 pages in the Q&A Forum, and have linked to all the Best ROM threads which have been Locked, listed from the newest to oldest. Although the number of Locked
Best ROM threads will continue to grow.
There are so many, that ironically these Locked threads have become their own source of ROM information, although ROM versions are constantly updated and new ROMs are emerging all the time.
So as is always said, it is suggested to go into individual ROM threads, read about what features they have, their feedback, ask any questions you may have, etc., and try them out to see which ROM suits your taste and works best for you

You know how it is here in xda, we need to find something for the moderators to do
or they will fall asleep, at least we are not cussin', fussin' and fightin' about anything.
What better way to keep em awake than talking about the best roms or our favorite roms? LOL

How can there be so many "best" roms, something must be wrong...
I always thought that only one rom could be the best.
I bet out of all those best roms you found only one is truly the best, the rest are all second class.

Yes, they are All the Best, so the search for the Bestest ROM in the Whole Wide World has Officially ended, and we will not see or hear about anymore Best ROM threads....
The illusive search is Officially over......
And now back to reality
The Best ROM is............. Drum Roll please.......
To be found in the next Locked Best ROM thread:cyclops:
XDA is a development site not a support site. As such members are expected to do the research, read through the development threads and decide what is BEST for them. The only results that would be posted here are what each member has found to be BEST for them by experimentation based on their phone/usage/setup/apps/signal strength. Please take the time to read through those development threads to learn all about the software you are about to drastically alter your very expensive device with.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

Best aosp rom?

Hi all.
I'm coming from Verizon to sprint, reason being almost all of their phones have locked bootloaders, and I've finally had enough of it.
With the release of the note 4 that came out some months ago, I need advice. A major reason I switched was because I wanted a phone that i could flash an AOSP rom onto and theme using the CM12 theme engine. That said, I'm wondering what do you guys consider the best AOSP rom to be in terms of stability, battery life, being cm12 theme engine compatible, and just overall personal preference. I just wanted some opinions before i actually go out and buy the phone.
Thanks in advance
Buy a nexus 6 , i had it if you love those kinda roms you will be in heaven. I hate those kinda roms so i sold it and got a note 4. But if you have the note 4 already try cm website i think they support note 4 too not sure but if they most things work fine. Goodluck
Well best is completely subjective to the user.
What is best for someone may not be best for you.
#1 rule on XDA is search and do your own research. If you go to the development section you can read about each rom and decide for yourself which ones you may want to test drive.
As for your thread since you are asking a question and a request for assistance from others it belongs in the Q&A section.
Thread moved.
