Yes, its possible to rollback to previous version. Download the previous version of Stock ROM from sammobile and flash this ROM via Odin v3.07 then it will roll back to the previous version..
Hit thanks if my post is helpful.

No way to rollback into previous version, as no vendor supports downgrading . If u need your old software, just download Original stock firmware (definitely some older version :silly and reflash it with Odin as @Parth2187 mentioned:cyclops:
This is what I did. I had a nand bqckup of my 4.1.2 stock rooted rom.
1. Flashed 4.1.2 stock via Odin.
2. Root3d and flashed CWM recovery.
3. Once in recovery rolled back my original nand.
Please note if u end up in a boot loop. Make aure u go to stock recovery and do data/factory reset and wipe cache and u r good to go.
Hope helps. Worked foe me.

If you root your phone, you won't be able to receive OTA updates and it will void your warranty. If you unroot you can get the OTA updates.
To root see this thread
If you want to unroot, see this thread.

I don't think a factory reset can unroot a device. I am not pretty sure about this, if u are successful in that, its okay. But factory reset just formats the internal SD card. It wont do anything with /Root directory. When you are rooting a phone, we flash SU to the /root directory.. Then how come a factory reset can unroot a device. Probably impossible! Correct me if i am wrong

+1...factory reset does not unroot...........flashing stock rom through odin and using traingle away ( not in that order ) would unroot the device..we are priviledged that our device has all prequisites for rooting and unrooting...
I tried flashing the old rom with odin but it gives some error :/ maybe my firmware has sm problem :|

Your best bet woukd probably be to download your update from sammobile.com and install it as per their instruction. Look into the repartition ing option.

I said "look in to it", what I mean is that sam mobile say that if your upgrading stock make sure you DO tick the box but all the guides on here say avoid and DONT tick the box. Ive just flashed a rom with odin and did NOT tick the box but it was a dmg rom. I would not have thought the 4.3 roms need to alter any partition sizes so try it without repartitioning and if it has issues maybe try it with a repartition.

Are you running stock? A custom rom? Jave you flashed a stock image? If you have flashed a stock image and its not tje correct one then this could be why it wont update. Try flashing a stock 412 image from the carrier that provided the phone or just go straiight for the 4.3 image, getting stock 4.3 installed on your phone will activate the efuse with knox and you wont be able to downgrade after

My counter was set to 2 so I triangled away and turned off then flashed stock rom (pre rooted) and the counter was set to 1 but other bits had changed to official. I triangled away again with the new stock rom and recovery and triangle away worked this time, rebooting the phone which it didnt do before (I think) and when it rebooted it loaded a new screen id not seen before (in other words this time it was working properly - cant work correctly on custom roms I guess) after this time it reset everything properly. The option it gave me after it had reset the counters properly it gave me 2 options, 1 reboot, or 2 reboot into download mode which I chose no2. In download mode there were no counters or text or anything but after another reboot and then back into download mode the markers and counter were there all reset hope thats not too unclear :/
Oh dunno if rooting would cause that issue or not but maybe try unrooting before ota. The ota on my stock rom just searches and doesnt do anything. Upgrading to official 4.3 though I cannit recommend, I was going to upgrade to official 4.3 but I am not now, you cannot downgrade and my friend has a s4 and has upgraded his to official 4.3 mk9 (hes never rooted or anything that may tamoer with warranty) and hes quite annoyed with it, prooer laggy etc he wishes he hadnt bothered. I am hoping for arhd 20 to materialize but im noth bothering with the undowngradeable official now

This is the thread I used. I chose the dmg1 from july 13th, I couldn't install an earlier one without messing with the bootloader because ive already upgraded to dmg. i believe I chose the deodexed option
Tbh mate, ive ran 4.3 for a bit and apart from a few small cosmetic changes theres nothing there thats going to improve your phone so unless your buying a Galaxy Gear theres no real point to it imo. Kitkat wont be long, ill give that a go when it turns up
Oh yeah and triangle away is riskey - you could brick your phone so unless your actually sending it back, I wouldn't bother about the counter numbers

You may need a knox free kernal, not sure. You can use Dr Ketans multitool v6 to root and remove knox if you have a custom recovery, or you can install the Xposed Installer (apk file) http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer and then install 'wanam xposed' from the module list. Click to remove knox in the security section of wanam module but i fear that option is just a cosmetic one. If you decide to use a custom recovery, use philz recovery (flash the tar file from odin using the pda tab) but dont flash v6 (has issues), use v5.15

Hello, my dumb ass decided to root using CFRoot, then it said it failed so I tried to flash the CFAutoRoot in Odin. Well, I tried booting my phone, after saying f*** it, and now I'm greeted with 'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.' what can I do? I just bought this phone, so if I screwed it up, I'm in trouble.

SGH-I747(AT&T Samsung Galaxy 3), and the stock 4.3 rom
Unfortunately, there is no way to flash a stock AT&T 4.3 ROM to this phone as AT&T never released a full ROM, only an update.
Did you try reconnecting it to Kies to try and re-flash?

Well, if you take it to an AT&T or Walmart store, they may not care that you tripped the counter. If they send it in to Samsung for repair, they may not care either. However, there's always the chance that AT&T/Walmart/Samsung would allow repairing the phone at no charge.

You would need to install a custom recovery in order to flash a custom ROM. A custom recovery can be installed via Odin if you find the right file.
Do not flash any stock Samsung 4.3 ROM or a custom rom unless Knox has been removed.

Are you running the latest version of CWM? If you can't boot into your OS, how do you know you are rooted?
Flashing another ROM will remove knox.
Copy a custom rom to a microSD card (do not unzip the ROM which is a single zip file), boot into recovery mode, wipe cache, wipe data, wipe Dalvik, and install the ROM from SDcard1.
I have the latest experimental Cyanfox on my i747m from here: http://cyanfox-rom.com/downloads/?folder=d2att/

Hi! I'm new in here.
I have a big problem. I putted on the resurrection remix 5.0 rom. But I didn't like it because of the camera, multiwindows, little bugs ecc.
So I wanted to turn to stock. So I downloaded the latest firmware H3G Italy 4.4.2 and flashed it with Odin 3.09 first and it didn't work and then with Odin 3.07 and it still didn't work. :crying: :crying: :crying: It is stuck on SAMSUNG whrite
Odin don't give me any errors. At the end it sees Pass! (something like that)
What can I do? Why stock is bricking my phone :crying:
Sorry for my bad english :crying::crying::crying:

He means emergency firmware but not exist for 4.4.2, this was for 4.1.2 and you cannot flash because your bootloader not leaving downgrade first and if you flash 2cond you loose your imei because of efs partition upgrade. Probably you haven't factory reset your phone before flash, go to recovery and factory reset your phone and restart.

Would be great if someone know the reason why this happens.

Have you found a Fix to this? What software did you use for rooting? Did you install a custom recovery?
For me this exact thing happens with TWRP and magisk. On the TWRP Thread jesec pointed out that rooting without flashing a custom kernel will most likely cause issues.
Was hoping you may have found a solution
