Can i get Stock JB rom for Xperia Ion?

Hi guys:
My question that if we can find a stock JB rom exactly like the Nexus 4 rom but working on Xperia Ion?? And what is AKOP and AOSP roms?​

Sony not yet released any JB ROM/ Firmware for iON. It's due in May.

You will get official JB fw from the end of May.
AOSP means Android Open Source Project.
It is the "stock ROM" (or pure vanilla ROM) made by Google and is Open Source.
Lots of custom ROMs base on this rom, e.g. CyanogenMod, Panaroid Android, etc.
AOKP (Android Open Kang Projecy) is a custom ROM base on AOSP.

It depends on which ion you have. The international versions that can have the bootloader unlocked there is a CM10.0 (JB) ROM out. If you have at&t one then you're out of luck.

No i have the normal version with unlocked bootloader.
In Cyanogenmod site i can see just the CM9 version , where can i fing the CM10?​

I wish you can find the rom you want.

you have to unlock your bootloader in order for you to flash CM, AOKP and AOSP roms..go to the development sections for ION and read the descritions and instructions in the OP :good: goodluck

Thanks , my bootloader is unlocked and i foung unofficial CM10 and i tried it , it's good but i want to know is there different between it and the stock android rom like AOSP? Can i find AOKP?​

I had checked it but i didn't know what i have to search for , there is no roms called Nexus 4 rom for Ion or AOKP for Ion.​

Thanks for help.... The first one is ICS rom not JB , the second is good , i had tryied it and i asked what is the different between it and Nexus 4 JB but no answer for now. The third i will try it to see how it's ​

I had typed an explanation for you with the differences between all those roms, but then I figured that everything I said could be easily Google'd, and if you didn't bother doing that, I shouldn't bother explaining what every rom is and waste my time...
Just know: AOSP is stock Android (it's what's on the Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10, with a bit of a different layout for the tablets). CM, AOKP, Slim Bean and Paranoid Android (you should check PA out as well) are all basically AOSP with some extra options. The only way of really knowing them all is trying them. They're all pretty much the same but focus on a different aspect (AOKP and CM are in my opinion pretty much the same though). Also every rom has some screenshots in the thread to show what's new or different, just take a look at those.
One major advantage that all of the custom roms that I mentioned have over AOSP is that they support the theme engine, so you can easily change the looks by installing a theme app. There's lots of those on the Play Store. They're a handy way of changing the looks of your phone once in a while without having to flash a new rom.

The reason why i don't search on google that i am not very good with english language so i can't ream much to find the answer....
So what you are trying to told me that CM and AOKP both are stock android roms right? I tried them both and i saw them both exactly the same , just so small defferents.
Thank you because now i know what i have to search for: "JB 4.2 from CM or AOKP".

I tried both AOKP and CM10 , but also both have the same Wifi problem , it can't find any network.​

The only difference, pretty much, is the launcher is trubutch in cm and in google aosp its googles clean rom
But cyanogen mod gives you more options
And it has the tmobile theme engine
So you can do anything with cyanogenmod and almost anything with aosp

Aha , now i am using CM10. Thanks for help.​

There is an aokp rom available in the ion develpment thread as well as paranoid android and many others based on aosp

[Request] Rom like ReVolt with latest Linaro Toolchain

Hey guys,
can anyone compile this Rom with the latest Linaro? Or can i compile this?
I was googlin and found out thats possible to Build a Rom with linaro.
But it seems to working with Linux. My System is Windows -.-

Have you gotten in touch with the ROM developer to see if they are interested in maybe building a linaro version? Also this is the wrong place for the question.

If you are new here you should go and read the rules before posting.
Your type of question is not allowed.
Read the various threads and decide which rom is best for you as everyone's opinion is different.

to be fair to all ROMs all over HOX forum
1- All ROMs thats being build on original Sense from HTC are stable so the differences are mild once it comes to stability and battery
2-For AOSP ROMs try going for ROMs being build with 4.2.2 as a base since they are all good , 4.3 is a little bit new and it may have some undiscovered bugs , but things may have changed since I havnt used any AOSP ROM since Sence 5 release
I have nearly tested everything here and I have nothing to complain about ,

Thanks i was a bit confused about which base should i use
I downloaded few rom and i'll flash them and decide which one is the best (even if i've a preference for viper )

Best for gaming and good battery...
ROM: ViperX 4.0.4
KERNEL: Alex-V 2.7 PA1 (mpdec+old s2w)
ARHD 31.3 is good too...but I haven't tried to flash custom yet.,don't know if there is compatible

At Mokee ROMs you've make an error: thewisenerd version is based on CM11 repository and Mokee open sources (from Mokee team -> is not made by azimdotnet) is based on mokee sources. Please correct.

Thnx for the info. I only added it because he added some pre-installation apps. though its nothing but still. But yes, 2 roms made from same source is unnecessary to mention.

U should remove the link to Mahdi ROM reason.
1. Its not allowed to post the link to other site on XDA.
2. The Dev who ported it even did not checked whether its working on this phone or not.

thx for pointing that, I will remove any rule violated content as soon as any moderator flag this.
Also I posted the link here because I know that dev for a long time and I know that the rom is working, it had just 1 bug with 3g connection but he solved it that day only, currently the rom is tested by some users there and I have pm ed them and they said its working with out any major issue. he is that good of a developer and this is not the 1st time he developed rom with out device, kra1o5 also knows him and his work personally.

I tested mahdi ROM its working smooth but it has a major bug RIL not working
